I totally agree. I've always thought, "Lost in Space" was even more campy than "Batman". Guy Williams is "Zorro" and June Lockhart is Timmy's mom on "Lassie".
She has a small part in the 1952 movie Blackbeard The Pirate with Robert Newton, and she also did a movie with Guy Williams where each of them have small parts, I think it was Bonzo Goes to College.
Irene "Granny" Ryan was an fantastic Password player. (They introduced her as 'Granny Clampett" but she was actually a "Moses"...she was Jed's mother-in-law)
Guy should have had a longer career in films or television. He has great charm here and a sense of humor that wasn't always evident in his LIS character. He would have made a good actor on the stage I think.
@@clarkbilly5670If she didn't smoke, then she inherited that. I know because I'm in my 60s and I still have a high pitched voice. My mother still had a high pitched voice when she was in her 60s as well. Irene Ryan's natural voice matched her character as Granny. God created her that way. That's why so many people thought that Irene Ryan in real life was a lot older than she really was.
@@Queeni_3e , if she was born on 17 October 1902, then she turned 65 on 17 October 1967. The day of this show, 21 June 1967, is after 16 October 1966 and before 17 October 1967. She was 64. ( @smadaf 65 years old. Born Oct 17, 1902 )
How does Guy call Irene at 4:37? I tried to look it up but found a meaning that doesn't make sense in this situation. Maybe in '60s it was associated with something popular I'm not aware of now. Please, any native speaker, help :).
