Marty was a brave man in real life. In WWII he was stationed at an airbase in italy where he stopped a fire in a plane that was being refueled. He saved the lives of the men boarding the burning plane by driving the fuel truck away, returning on foot to the plane, and then putting out the fire by rolling over the flames with his body. Marty was decorated with Soilders medal the highest award for non-combat heroism a soilder can receive.
I met him and his his lovely wife in Vegas when I got married. They were just wonderful people. I certainly can see Marty doing something to save other people.
I need to say this: I think Marty was spared some heartache when he died in 2018. Only a year later, COVID would hit, and all of the corruption and chaos that followed, and the genuine threat to our country and liberties began mounting at alarming speed and in some alarming ways. Marty loved this country and eagerly served it in WWII. How would he have felt if he had lived to see how things are, today? I think Marty was taken at just the right time -- I think he would have been very sad to see how we're on the verge of losing his/our beloved country and watching us slip closer and closer to the edge of the abyss. I know this is supposed to be a fun show, but since the subject of Marty's bravery and valor has come up, I think this is a good time to address how far from that we have fallen in just the last three or four years. Off of the soapbox, now. Continue to rest in peace and experience the pure love and complete happiness of paradise, dear Marty. We love you!
Are you SURE it's a wig? He may have benefited from the services of a really spectacular hairdresser. I notice he was combing it when the video began. Wig or real, it doesn't matter. Marty was STILL Marty.
Both were terms denoting a crummy, lousy, less-than-honest person or low brain wave activity especially the word "Sap" as in the stuff inside a tree. This was filmed in 1967. Not used much, if at all in 2022. Nowadays, it might be lowlife, scumbag, dirtbag, loser, slimeball, etc..
Actually - The Celebs gave good clues and the first two contestants did well. This episode was better than watching some of the other episodes from 1962 with half-wit celebs.
Like DELLA REESE if anyone has ever seen that episode. Her partner should have just got up and walked away. Of course I would have said a derogatory remark as I walked away. One of Passwords dumbest celebs.
