I was going through this recently and I had to just pull back from everything and everyone. I reflected on myself, the person, and the relationship; asked myself why I allowed certain behaviors to go on & why I was holding on to him for dear life (it was because I lacked self love & abandonment issues), how the relationship was benefitting me vs affecting me etc lots of introspection and then I asked for a sign to see a black cat if I should leave him, I asked twice and got the sign twice & even after getting them I didn’t obey right away because it was hard for me to release him so God had to force me to let go of him. I said all that to say meditate, pray on it & ask for signs, allow your partner to continue work on himself without your interference & allow him to show through actions not words. If it’s meant to be allow God to bring you two back together and if not trust him for better and just continue to pour all that love back into yourself. Leave him where he is. That's just a trick - a play on words to get you to come back. He will show you a change for a couple of months, then revert back to his old ways. I'm speaking from experience. 18 yrs. of hurt. Don't Do It - Just Say No and let him go (completely). It will be hard at first but you have to love you first and know your worth.
