I think it's so interesting that that picture of Nastia doing a Pak Salto is absolutely GORGEOUS. Shows her flexibility in her back and her beautiful lines. But, in reality, it's terrible Pak Salto technique 😂
Nastia didn't do that exact routine in 2008! So you really can't say it's a "past routine", especially her 2008 routine! I think I noticed a few other gymnast with tweaks in their routines; those shouldn't count either as "still competitive" because they never really happened! But all the routines that weren't altered and edited like: Anna Li & Mustafina, those count as "past routines" that are still competitive! Because they're legitimate routines from the past that the gymnast themselves competed!
Never paid attention before but hardly anyone is watching Anna Li perform her routine in the audience. Guess they were all watching Jordyn on the floor.
Jessica’s bars KILL me 😭 the missed handstands, leg separations, flexed feet, etc are so bad but she scored so well in Rio. She’s iconic as was her bars routine but it was questionable
You don't have to add anything in from Lopez's 2012 routine. I'm pretty sure Jessica's 2016 routine by itself would get a 6.5 sv under the new code. She get's the full pirouette CR from the uprise free-hip 1/1.
Probably because that was one of the few times she performed her full difficulty in one routine. A lot of her routines from that era added an extra swing before the dismount or omitted the healy 1/2 altogether.
Yup it was lol. However every commentator worldwide always called it “beautiful” so people just accepted it 💀 the timing also looked really wonky even when she did it “well”
@@donovangardner1325 Normally that's true but in this case the Li Ya is a flight element rated D or higher either from low to high bar and the Jaeger is an element rated C or higher that was performed on the high bar. Hope that helps!
