Coming back to this song after doing Lap 5 in the Lap Hell Hotfix really recontextualizes the entire song. It’s no longer an escape from Pizzaface. It’s the theme of the game itself throwing everything it has your way. And honestly, that fits so much more.
I feel like 5 laps is too much, four should be enough, I miss when this was a lap 3 ost instead, if I manage to make the mod I've got in mind it will fit well
@@allastorm7667yes, it IS too much. And bluntly, that song matches that quite well. It sorta matches how unusual this song is compared to the rest of the laps themes. Like ya went too far, and you now havta repeat everything all over again, mashed up in bizarre and unstable methods, with the chaos of lap 3, the ticking of lap 4's clock gone into a full alarm, and the olden lap's Pizza Time leitmotif to tie it all together.
This songs gives me the BIGGEST ADRENALINE RUSH IVE EVER EXPERIENCE and helps me through my assignments in school😅 (please release a 1 hour perfect loop version).
Fun fact about Polar, if you didn't know; you can load an image to appear in its background, and the ring (and image, obviously) will appear as translucent if you set Blend to true. This can have some hilarious effects. Linear can be used similarly. I use it for everything from scrolling textures to gradients.
While Pillar John's revenge isn't a _bad_ song necessarily, I feel like it doesn't fully live up to it's position, so-to-speak, it's just not *intense* enough. This one definitely does feel more like a "DEATH IS CHASING ME AND I DON'T GIVE A CRAP" theme, despite it not entirely fitting-in with Pizza Tower's musical themes, and I don't think it'd be out of place at all if it was a Lap 3 theme in-game.
this is a pretty different take on the whole lap 3 shenanigans now, the different style does make this not fit in pizza tower compared to the other lap 3 theme but this is still great!
Like you said, it doesn't quite *sound* like Pizza Tower music, but I think that, besides the instruments, you hit the nail on the head with this one! It's the perfect ramp up from Lap 2's theme and fits perfectly with Pizzaface chasing you. Well done!
The song slaps, its the comments that confuse me, this song sounds more like "You pushed the big red button" as johns revenge sounds more like "You asked for this" Both thematically fit for their purposes, so personally i cant pick one over the other for being a theoretical lap 3 song Like why not have a lap 4 and this be the song? im gonna review every single mechanic in this thing from lap 9 for lap 9 i really dont have to say much except the new lap 10 diamond edition changes this bullshit mechanic wich is absolute ass (now its the lap 14 mechanic that he wrote about btw) lap 10 the timer is from LLH now idk if lap 11 would even be possible because u said its "making it IMPOSSIBLE to dodge them from the king ghost attack thing" how is lap 12 supposed to work if pepperman is slightly faster than u, aint he supposed to catch up to u in some parts of john gutter or some other levels bro the level straight up becomes impossible on lap 13, the only way to fix it if it does something to the timer like LLH on lap 5 wich is basically adding to the war timer instead of replacing it with a new one lap 14 top tier i wonder if the lap 15 lava rng thing will spawn it in air making a literal tower out of it making u jump over it SOMEHOW
I want a definitive edition to this. Each lap after lap 2 adds a small, short cutscene. Lap 3, it's pizzaface appearing from the top, doing the funny MWEHEHEHHE!!! (or whatever the sound is.), before gameplay actually starts. Lap 4 will have pizzaface fly in from the direction he was facing, in the portal room, as he whistles, summoning Snick to the playing field, and as normal, gameplay comes back when the cutscene ends. Lap 5 will introduce the scrapped Hard-Mode mechanic, with it popping into view. I like to think that rather than another snick, Pizzahead just uses some sort of cloud (totally not a Mario Reference) to drop enemies into the field every so often, cackling before normal gameplay starts up again. Lap 6 will have john ghost appear, in a cutscene where pizzahead snaps his fingers, and john ghost appears, before lap 6 starts up. Lap 7 will introduce the Fake Peppino limbs into the level very subtly, but it isn't random every time, and after a few runs, you'll know when to duck or jump over the limbs. Of course, in the cutscene, fake peppino appears and melts shortly after, spreading his limbs all across the level. Lap 8 will be the calm before the storm, as everything pretty much disappears, the cutscene in question being just them... leaving. Lap 9 will introduce 2 new mechanics: The pizzawizard (Or whoever you call him, he's the guy that appears in that pizza tower shopping-spree mod), who will place enemies down faster, and the introduction of randomized enemies. The enemies in the level will no longer be in the same places, nor the enemies they once were. of course, we can't have them COMPLETELY randomized, we just mix them up a small bit with the enemies featured in the level itself. Lap 10 will be the final lap in the hellish soup. It'll introduce the War Timer, given it'll be far less to accomodate for the new opponents. And, it'll enrage Pizzaface and Snick, turning them to a more... unhappy look. Pizzaface will gain a new ability, being a dash, just like how peppino does it. (It'll sorta be like Scoutdigo's Pizzaface, but less... fast.) To combat this, Peppino can parry it to stun Pizzaface for 2-4 seconds. Snick will now be faster, and will send out clones of himself, which I'll call "Shadow Snicks". The Shadow Snicks will stay in place, in a spinball, and if peppino touches one, he gets hurt. These act similar to the Fake Peppino limbs, only smaller, and frankly less difficult to avoid, but they'd still serve up a challenge. Some Lap mechanics will be nerfed during Lap 10, since I don't want it to be impossible. Any other laps done will be merely Extra, with nothing added and nothing taken. Feel free to discuss changes to this, as I'm no modder, nor a pizza tower expert.
I feel like this sounding like something not really in pizza tower is kinda what makes this work really well. Lap 3 is something the game wouldn't really expect you to do and the song being different from the other songs would still fit in.
Here's a neat little idea on how to activate lap 3: You need to input the konami code at the title card [doing that would need speedrunner levels of agility], you will also need to get to pillar john within the pizza time time limit of that level. Once you activate pizza time, you need to get to lap 2 and press 3 at the entrance gate, once 3 is pressed, lap 3 will pop up in place of the lap 2 portal [This pizza portal will have steam coming off it, with bubbling cheese and peppers instead of pepperoni]. Once lap 3 is active, you will INSTANTLY activate a slightly faster pizzaface with new buffs, like a bigger hitbox and attack patterns. Your reward for beating lap 3 is instant enemy stun with every ground pound. [If you were wondering, it makes bosses vunerable when grounded and gets rid of fake peppino clones along with making him fall while using the mach run attack]
It would be WAY to hidden for players and the reward given would straight up break the game and it doesn't even make sense the connection between the lap 3 and the reward given.

while the style may not fit very well, it still has all my requirements for a good lap 3+ theme -a short buildup so you actually hear it -confidence with a side of HOLY SHIT GET OUTA THERE -banger -at least one leitmotif so the part of my brain that is a game nerd is happy -actually kinda sucks you can’t just stop and vibe to it because there’s kinda instant death a maxium of 5 feet behind you at all times
I do feel like it fits a Lap 5 vibe more. The whole idea of Pizzaface throwing whatever he can at you just to make you stop with this song in the background just adds so much intensity and stress, especially if you have a P rank.
My idea for lap 3(not the same as pizza face just spawning and chasing you):a WAR timer pops up,every room has a timer of 30 seconds due to the level ACTUALLY falling apart, enemies act like the unused heat meter is full,aka cheese slimes using baseball bats when you get close and some enemys(forknights and their variants such as tha potato with the pitchfork) charging at you,pizza ninjas cannot be parried Old concept::a WAR timer pops up,every room has a timer of 30 seconds due to the level ACTUALLY falling apart due to you,you know breaking the only support tower in the entire level,the exits for the last rooms have crumbled in and new ones have formed so you have to go through basically an entirely different level,still the same theme and gimmicks but a new route with the same kind of enemies but this time they act like the unused HEAT meter is full,aka cheese slimes using baseball bats when you get close and some enemys(forknights and their variants such as tha potato with the pitchfork) charging at you at the speed of mach 3,toppin monsters are faster(i added this),if pizza face does spawn before you get into lap 3 and you get to lap 3 pizzaface becomes faster the further away you are from them,pizza ninjas cannot be parried,fake peppino chasing form somehow spawns and chases you through the entire level going up walls and basically acting like the cheese monster from dont make a sound but they also send peppino out of the level,ETC
This song has a “fear” vibe to it. As lap 3, it made sense, but here, it makes…even more sense. The game is throwing everything at you so you stop. The game itself is struggling.
literally the only good lap 3 theme hell, even as a pizza tower og who loved stupid shit like the heat meter, i feel like lap 3 is a little excessive, but if it's ever added, THIS is how you should do it. it's anxiety inducing but meant to amplify the main feeling of lap 2 along with being hunted down for sport, combined in an absolute clusterfuck of a masterpiece. it also shows that this is nothing like what the game has thrown at you before, indicated by the different style of music. this really is a phenomenal version of lap 3 man
