Opuntia Indica Ficus, commonly known as "cactus" is an excellent alternative animal feed. Benefits:
- High production per area (350 Ton/Ha)
- Low cost energy source for ruminants
- Very resistant to drought and drought
- Self-storage food
- Source of water for the herd (90% water)
- EFFICIENT water storage for the semi-arid region (above 300 m3 per hectare)
- Rich in vitamin A
