Pastel portrait process.
Another portrait!! At last..!
This is a very fresh portrait...Kind of "spring" portrait before the winter...It wasn't easy to paint because I found a lot of asymmetries in the model´s face, but on the other side this is what makes her so interesting...
I hope you like the process...Thanks again for following!
For this portrait I used Unison pastels and Schminke pastels, Canson paper...as usual.

I really, really love your work. I can see the effort and I value it a lot. The most difficult thing it is to be capable to transport the viewer to the real emotions the model express. You have the potential to catch every little detail and beyond to the papable things in your painting and that become to you in an true artist. My respect.

Mesmerizing Graciela! I love viewing your videos. I have seen each of them at least twice if not more. I think my favorite, (if this is at all possible they are all amazing) is the one with the little girl holding her doll with her dog by her side. Keep posting please!

Hello Bogra, Can I ask how do you keep from smudging your work with your hand resting on finished areas? Reason I ask is because I also do pastel art and I find I need a bridge or paper to keep from smudging. Your work is gorgeous!

Hola Graciela, ante todo felicitarte por ese talento que tienes, soy un ferviente seguidor de tus vídeos y un aficionado al retrato al pastel, nunca he asistido a clases y lo que se es a base de practicar, leer y seguir videos como tu canal, yo utilizo pasteles rembrand, se pueden obtener los mismos resultados que con los que tu utilizas, y otra pregunta, cuando realizas el dibujo, que medio usas, sanguina, barra, gracias de nuevo y enhorabuena por tu trabajo, saludos desde ripollet!

I can only get reeves soft pastel in 36 colors in my country. The reeves have very bright colors, not really any of nude or skin tone colors. Do you have tips to draw with minimal colors for pastel painting? :)

+Ace Cruz Hello Ace, For the first drawing you can use some Pastel pencil like Pitt Pastel..And about the timing..It really depends. Each portrait is different. Some of them come out easily and some others are more complicated and require more time. It is not an exact science... Regards, Bogra

+Akansha Kapoor Hello Akansha, It is not show in the videos...To preserve the portraits it is good to spray them with some special fixative for Pastel at the end. You have different brands to choose from...And about the paper, I dont really get the question. The paper to preserve or the paper to paint..? Regards and thank you for following, Bogra
