May God have mercy on African sisters and on women in general. God made a helper to Adam, not a slave or a housemaid. Africa Christianity has been defiled with the abusive African tradition toward women, and it is hard to change as long as the role of husband and wife in the bible is twisted by ministers of the gospel who teaches and trained our sons to grow up to marry a housemaid or a slave to do their house chores. The woman is the helper, the comforter, the guide, just as the Holy Spirit. She is there to assist you, to advise, help and love you. She is not your housemaid. before she came, you were cooking your food, washing your clothes, cleaning your house....How crazy is it thinking that I am going to marry someone to do my chores for me. Brothers, if you don't want to do it anymore, paid a housemaid to do it or arrange with your wife how to do it together. You won't be blessed as long as you have a wife who is groaning because of the burden of house-chores etc... Shame on men who used their wives as housemaids. You do not have to look too much to know them. You will see those men strong and healthy and their wives broken and looking older than them. And these men will be looking around for younger women to replace their wives. Looking for another victim they are going to break and abuse. Disgusting what it happening in churches. Submission isn't slavery, how can you say, women are the weaker vessel, yet she is the one doing chores and spending herself to death? You can't be a servant of God is you don't know the heart of Christ! He died for his bride, he washed the feet of his bride, he fed his bride, he washed his bride with his blood and dressed her with his righteousness... Today men want women to toil for them, wash their clothes, feed them, wash their feet, clean their house, iron their clothes etc... What a contrast! That is the root of broken home especially in christian homes. Men have been trained to abuse women... they have been taught to marry a housemaid, a slave to do their unwanted chores... That is the reality in the church today, and it has nothing to do about the true role of the woman according to christ. He is our example, not some human and pagan tradition or even Biblical jews traditions... Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her ,to sanctify her cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to Himself as a glorious church, without stain or wrinkle or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.…In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.…Ephesians 5:25-27. Look at your wife and look at her picture when she came to your home and you will see and understand! Do you know why the Lord never ask the wife to love her husband? Because when you play your role as Christ does to his bride, she will not help but love and submit to you. Do you know why the Lord didn't ask the husband to submit to his wife? Because if you really submit to the Lord, you will submit to one another in reverence to the Lord. If you love me, keep my commandements.. The husband was the one the Lord first asked to submit, yet in parable due to the tradition of men domination over women strongly established in Jewish culture. May God have mercy on his family, the church. Blessings
Yes husband love your wife as Christ loved the church and in like manner wife submit to your husband. Stop quoting the scripture halfway inorder to suit your selfish interests. How do you expect a family to be happy when a wife is rebellious to her husband? I have travelled also in Asia and the role of men and women has always been different since ages. The Early Europe had men provide for their families and women take care of the children. Read the bible and see how Abraham and Sarah lived as God models of godly families. Let men love their wives and women submit to their husband according to the word of God

I am sure that like myself your degree of submission is according to the proof of his sacrificial love for you. Meaning the only reason why you try your best to obey him is because you know what he did for you. We women are exactly like you... The only way a woman submit voluntary is when she witness sacrificial love. And that is your job as a man just as Christ did and is still doing for you and for his bride the church until you fully trust him and fulfil submit to him.
