My mouth flew open when Pastor Jennings called my ( I'm sure others too) husband's name. I've been divorced for over three decades. Our 49th anniversary is coming up soon. Next year will be the "golden". If only Pastor J. would have been our teacher and guide, we probably would have gotten it together. False teachers are destroying a lot of marriages.
How hard it is for a man and the woman that is married and they are not happy and then they separate but they still want a companion in their life they still want intimacy but they have to end up going back with each other but they’re unhappy when they are with each other that’s a hard pill to swallow

And God set us up to win and I know I may have messed up twice but by God by God I do not and will not want to mess up a third time. Cause he has a hope in a future for me and I get it now I totally understand what God is telling me . I am now a singled woman who loves the Lord more than yesterday . You’re so right Pastor Jennings, listen ladies, you don’t want to be the second wheel. It’s something about that first wife and the respect that comes with her. When that first wife walk into a room, the second or third wife feels very uncomfortable, because she know she’s the second wheel.

Never Never Never hear this kind of teaching, Apostle Gino Jennings realy teaching the truth on this, the preachers do not preach on this never, the reason why is because day have a second wife, his first wife is still Liveing, i know what the gino is saying, i use to go to a church, where the pastor was divorce and his wife was divorce, both of there spouses is liveing, now that church again have a nother pastor, he said that he is a bishop, and he does travel, apearently his wife cheat on him, he divorce her and married to a young woman that can be his daughter, and the church is full of women, he still does travel and when he is travelling his wife does preach, someone said to me the church is not even growing, so yes something is wrong.
So question....if Xerxes divorced his wife to marry Esther why did God allow that so that His servant Esther can save Israel. Why did Paul say what he said in 1 Corinthians? Why did Jesus say what He said about divorcing fir sexual immortality? The Bible wasn't written in English and you have to look not at the words of the Bible but the meaning and context. My wife left 10 years ago to live a lesbian lifestyle and deceived herself thinking she is still a Christian living with a woman. So God would call a person to NEVER marry again because of the sexual immortality of the first spouse? When you read the Bible does this seem like God? Yes divorcing for unbiblical reasons is against God's law but one needs to look at the context. Job's wife left him and he married again. It is sad people are deceived by this type of teaching. By the way I'm still single but will marry soon by the grace of God. The Pharisees knew the Bible better than anyone. However they didn't have the Spirit and you have to be careful who you're listening to.

It's always better to wait on God on marriage ,so u not equally yolked ,going to different directions, if u happen to marry wrong, it might cause alot of stress , But always remember God works from what is ,not from what should be , but better to marry in God's will and timing instead of rushing
I'm a sinful man, our problem is as human beings we take one verse, are many verses here and there and take out of context and miss interpret its meaning ( What is the whole book saying from genisis to Revelation) The old testament is symbolism of what christ would do at the cross in future through the animal sacrifice such as in Exodus 12vs13 and the new testament is reality of what Jesus has done on the cross already, Revelation 12vs11 they overcame by the blood of the lamb) In Exodus 12vs13 God sent a death angel to kill Pharaoh's first born and he told Moses and the people kill a lamb ( symbolism of Jesus Christ, the true lamb of God who would come from heaven above a be born of a virgin in human flesh) and put the blood with hyssop ( a type of christ blood that would be shead on cross In future) and put the blood on yall doorpost and get in house ) And when the death angel passes, when I see the blood I will pass over u ( Its the same today when I see the blood of Jesus ( not our works) but when I see the blood of Jesus you soul is saved and u will be speared from my judgement in hell ! This was a hard pill for me to swallow since my husband of 15 years divorced me after I raised his daughter and was finally pregnant with my first child. He told me he didn't want any more children. He has a daughter and son from a previous relationship. He claimed he was never married and had no children. After we married I found out about his children. He is from another country. After I granted him the divorce. He married again and had two more children ....but I have to remain unmarried ...he is living in adultery .... I cannot get married again unless he dies. That was hard to swallow but I have to obey The Holy word of the Most High. May His Grace and Mercy reign in my life as I live Holy and raise my daughter without her father in Holiness. I think about the time before I married him. God gave me the scripture of being unequally yoked. I wanted to get married so bad I disobeyed God and married him. My daughter is a gift from God. She is physical proof that God will bless you and be merciful even if your disobedient. So I must remain unmarried....I now try to live my best in obedience if His Holy word.

I'm in the same situation. Married 16 years ago. My wife left me almost 9 years ago. We have a son too. She's desperately seeking to marry another. I will almost certainly be "single" the rest of my life. That's how life goes all too many times. But we must honor and obey God, and display his love, forgiveness, and gospel metaphor accurately through our marriage circumstances.
Just suppose Gino had married at 20 to an adulterous woman who finally left him after 3 years.She got married and had children and is still living. Would he wait for her to die so that he can finally marry again?
If you have any questions about divorce and remarriage, look at Jesus example and the manner in which He treats The Church. He said He will never leave nor forsake His Church. Those who remarry while their Covenant spouse is alive, are not representing the true love and forgiveness that Jesus extends to us when we are unfaithful to Him.

Why do a lot of preachers preach against this....? I know several preachers who say if you divorce and remarry you are forgiven for doing so.... and GOD will not hold it against you.... but according to this and what I have read... you can be forgiven but you must get out of that 2nd marriage or you remain an adultress and will not enter into the kingdom of GOD... I herd a lady say she didn't care what anybody said she was not getting a divorce from her second husband... she will answer for that statement
Simple the churches are lawless. For example if a couple that are both homosexuals and one/or both decided to repent and change his or her life, then they will need to come out of the marriage to recieve complete and full repentance and forgiveness. They cannot remain in a sinful marriage. You cannot repent and stay in the sin. The Messiah told the woman at the well to GO and SIN NO MORE. John 5:1-15

Jesus comes on the scene and raises the standard of marriage back up to it's original intent, from the beginning. Marriage is a lifelong commitment. Only death can separate.

Exactly!!!! Why he didn’t read this scripture since he is preaching on divorce. That’s why the Bible tells us to study the word for yourself. He has these people they are going to hell after repentance but the Bible says the only sin not forgiven is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. My foster mother married to her first husband till the day he died, but he beat her everyday, and on Sunday he would hit her on the way to church in front of me and my brother. She continued to pray to God about her circumstances. He got another woman pregnant and went so far to bring that child around her. She suffered emotionally and physically. And, guess what...he caused our life to go in the wrong direction in decisions. His actions caused a repeat of him in our lives, until God showed us different after we went through so much suffering in ignorance.
I was in a abusive marriage. Where my life was always at risk of being taking. My marriage ended with with him leaving me for another woman. I stayed legally married to him for a few years after that. I divorced him. Married a man of faith you loves me like Christ loves the church. All of this before I completely understood that remarriage while your former spouse is still living is sin. I am currently sick to my stomach and my heart is broken. I know I have to obey the Word of God. But imagine leaving whom you thought God ordained to be your husband and best friend. 😭 😭 😭 I'm soooo shattered.
Sounds to me as if your abusive husband was “dead in Christ” anyway! Which means this word doesn’t apply to you because he doesn’t or didn’t live according to the Word. It’s clearly written that if the unbeliever(dead in Christ is an unbeliever) departs let him and you are free from bondage. Don’t get stuck in the bondage of unhappiness. Anyone can read the Word but only those who have accepted Christ lives by it in spirit and truth. If your HUSBAND now is a man of God this does not apply to you. Enjoy your marriage.
