The world needs more pastors like this who rise up to uphold God's standard and truth

It’s better than the mixed messages (GOD simultaneously loves and hates the LGBT community).

But how do you tell someone who identifies as a woman and prefers to dress as such, they aren’t welcomed if it is come as you are? whose to say the attire wasn’t tasteful ? It sounds as if he kicked him out simply because he was judging and uncomfortable seeing it. I get having “ house rules” but as JP said stand on what you believe in and maybe that man believes that. Now if that man was dressed way inappropriate that’s different but I personally think the man was hypocritical and then to carry on like that was unnecessary too. And as Joshua said what if his heart is coming and seeking the lord because he is going through things? Kicking him out isn’t in the answer

My only issue with this is, the church is a hospital. Maybe a healing word would have changed his life. But instead, Pastor took the opportunity to kick him out AND embarrass him. God's word can change anyone if it's done in His love. Doctors don't kick sick people out for being sick. Their job is to diagnose and provide them with healing agents. When they are improving, THEN are they discharged. I just think this was a wasted opportunity as a man of God. 🤷

The approach could have been a little less confrontational to the person, and it could have been explained in that way after the person was gone. But either way, it is a REQUIREMENT that people start doing what he said "STAND ON YOUR SQUARE" and make decisions and STAND on your decisions in the space you're responsible for. What is the purpose of rules or expectations if we keep bending them when someone feels offended?? That's your personal problem that you can't match what's happening. If your rule is for me to take my shoes off when I get to your house, I can't expect you to bend the rules and let me keep my shoes on because I don't normally do that, or because I have a hole in my sock and I don't want you to see it. I will either take my shoes off, or I can't go in your house. PERIOD!! And I can challenge your rule all day, but it's YOUR space and YOUR rule, so it is what it is. To the young man that said that some people look at the scripture worldly and not spiritually...THAT'S PART OF THE PROBLEM!! You can't switch it up. We can't take the spiritual realm and try to make it FIT in the world so it's more comfortable for us. "Come as you are" is not a bible verse. It is an interpretation of several verses, one in particular Matthew 11:28 "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Come as you are means to come in whatever worldly state you are in because you are welcomed to receive Salvation and the power of God just like everyone else. The plan is that you will grow, as verse 29 says "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." This situation was about someone from the LGBT community, but this could easily fit a young lady that came in with her skirt too short and her breast exposed, or a young man entering in high as a kite. Don't shame them publicly. Again the Pastor could have addressed that in a different manner. But still stand flat-footed and firm on the expectations and TEACH those that don't know. Either they'll eventually conform and be transformed by the Holy Spirit, or they'll elect not to attend anymore. That's my opinionated $0.10.
