Agreed. Bible says narrow is the gate to heaven while broad is the road and gate to destruction. Plus the Bible talks about sufferings in this life for Jesus’ name sake. It is NOT an easy road to heaven but the reward is great for those who can endure. There’s a war for our souls.

His life might have been more straight and narrow..The more you listen to the bad angel the more he talks.. it's easy being good if you never felt the thrill of being bad..a person who never did drugs don't know what he is missing..It's a thrill thing..It's easy to not be a drug addict for someone who never done drugs..

It takes longer time,but if finances aren’t a problem, then it’s best to move and cut all ties with anyone that doesn’t line up with the word. This song is so deep when you understand the relationship between No Malice and Pusha T. As brothers and members of the clipse they indulged in all the vanity of the world and around 2010 Malice concerted to Christianity and became no malice and made Christian music. Pusha t continued on making secular music and becoming the president of Kanye’s record label. In Pushas first verse, he sites his criticism of Kanye’s newly professed faith and basically said we shall see if you are real as time goes on because I’ve seen converts come and go. In no Malices verse, he reminds his brother of the trouble they almost got into but God protected them from, in a hope to push him towards the Lord. That is why he ends the verse saying “Hold on to your brother while he’s faiths lost.” Such a deep track!

I believe when Kanye says It's A Hard Road to Heaven what I got from that is staying consistently doing the gospel is a very hard road because it's not as easy as a lot of people think. That's why the scripture says narrow is the gate to heaven wide is the gate to hell. Immediately when I first heard the song that's the scripture that jumped up in my spirit it is a Hard Road to stay the Narrow Path here on earth. I don't Care how spiritual you become.
That is true.. on our way to heaven there will be lot of temptation and other stuff that Satan is gonna use, so that we cannot make it to our destiny.. for that we need to use the Gospel.. I think Kanye is tryna say on our way to heaven we need yo use the Gospel in order to overcome all the things that tryna stop us from reaching there..
I agree with the pastor perspective and idea as well... Yea, it is easy to do things if we know the end result, but easy dosen't mean everything will be going smoothly and that part is what Kanye is say'n and for that he told us to use Gospel as our protection, yo tackle and able to face the worst.. because it is only the Gospel that will remind us about our destiny
Yes and it's very significant. No Malice said he did not want to rap as The Clipse or perform any of the old music. His brother respected that. So it is fitting to see this reunion. Especially when No Malice says, "Just hold on to your brother when his faiths lost." I saw Pusha T in one of their surprise Sunday Service performances with Kanye at Howard(?) University. Something was said but couldn't make it out and Push was seemed humble in that moment. I pray for him too. I hope he's next. I can't even fathom the way they musically and lyrically present the Gospel together on an album. Gosh I might even weep.
Jesus said it's easier for a Camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Kanye is right. We have to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
I’m astounded this album brought The Clipse back together on a track. No Malice went in on this. He was always one of the best, so it’s great to see him get to stay true to his born-again self while receiving proper attention and spotlight for it at the same time.
Pastor the road to heaven is hard. A christian journey is very hard. It is no bed of roses. I don't think you got what he meant. Sometime keeping the faith can be tough. We are all sinful by nature. To keep on that straight road can be tough but the Holy Spirit will always be with us.

If the road to heaven wasn’t “hard” or challenging than why does Paul write REPEATEDLY that we must “persevere”?Perseverance isn’t necessary in the face of ease.
Read again the context of that "preserve", Salvation is NOT your effort, it's God's work through Christ, you cannot earn it as much as you cannot keep it, so yes it's Not hard to go to heaven.
Mr. J I agree that nobody can earn their way to heaven...that would be like me thinking if I just walked hard enough then I could walk to the moon. However, doing what is right every day is a choice. When we become saved we do not become robots for Christ. We still have to daily pick up our cross. We still have to be kind when it would be easier to be mean. We still have to give when we feel like taking. That’s what I meant by hard. And we don’t live like this to earn favor but rather we live like this because we want to be Christ-like. We want to live in a way that identifies us as HIS children but we are not God...we are but dust. Thankfully He gives us the ability to do any good that we are able to do.
Don't misunderstand pastor's words, I'm sure he knows Matthew, about Christian life, what he was trying to say is about salvation itself given by Jesus does not represent a very hard thing to a person but his identification of sin and claim to God.
How I see it, the Bible tells us a lot of people won’t see the kingdom of heaven, which makes the road hard. The road itself is not hard, it’s the traveler that struggles to walk down the road.
I really appreciate the whole concept and idea of this channel. I grew up in a Christian/southern baptist house. Don’t necessarily practice anymore, but I do love what you guys are doing. Keep it up
For me, I'm a believer through and through so I know that when the day comes I'll see heaven but the journey through life even as a believer is hard. So many distractions and so many easy roads to follow that lead in the opposite direction. No lie though, I got hyped when you did about that Trumpet and the beat coming in towards the end, good stuff.

When he says road to heaven he means the road from the day your saved until you die, enduring to the end. Its not a hard road to be saved. But from the example of the apostles, it was definitely a hard road from their convesion to death.
My perspective on the hard road to heaven is he is saying "with out this gospel, it's a hard road to heaven" you have to know how Kanye puts his lyrics together by his past songs. He puts the future, past and present in different sequences. Many Christian's didn't listen to his old music, rightfully so, but they will catch on to how he puts together his message in lyrics. The beginning note is actually a car seat belt ringing chime, a not to the accident that almost took his life but saved his life ultimately in the end by renewing his faith and his passion into music.

Any Christian should be able to agree that it’s a hard road to heaven. All the trials and tribulations we have to face not to mention the devil himself trying to take us off our faith walk. It’s crazy that some Christians (mainly the old school ones) act like walking by faith is easy. The closer we get to him the harder the devil works against us. Hard road to heaven indeed but it’s worth it
Mark 10:23 explains how hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God read on to verse 27 and it explains how with God all things are possible. Also the fact that the road for a believer is a straight and narrow path. In the world we live in and with the sinful nature of man that’s what makes it not the easiest thing to stay on the narrow path however it’s the only path that brings true peace and freedom. When he says it’s a hard road that’s what I think he means 😉 love this song btw!
I really think that the road to heaven is hard because it´s doesn´t matter if we are Christians, we always would have afflictions, we are sinners so we can sin consciously and unconsciously; so for me is hard because the enemy will want to attack us so by does distractions that the enemy wants to put us in we have to stand firm with jesus by our side. 1 Corinthians 10:12

I think Ye meant in the "hard road to heaven", is that his road to get to the point of salvation, surrender, was hard. His road was hard, i.e., convicting.
It is a hard road to heaven. Kanye was referring to (Matthew 7:13-14) the bible says the just that. Kanye is a new babe in Christ but when you listen to some of the songs you know he is in the Word of God.
The way into heaven is easy(through Jesus). The way there is difficult in fact narrow and I'm quoting scripture. It comes down to being in the world but no longer being of it. Use the gospel as protection from all that makes the walk hard. That's what I hear in the first verses.
I became a Christ follower and it's crazy the amount of persecution and attacks from the enemy that I have felt since. If you can't say that life is hard and difficult, then you may examine your heart. If you're living your best life now.....something is wrong. Matthew 10:22 - "And you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved." So yes, it's a hard road to Heaven.
It is a hard road to heaven. As Christians in this world we will suffer. Suffering is a big part of our walk. Constantly we fight against the flesh, the world and our enemy the devil.

I don't personally believe in Christianity, but spiritually is so vast that we can still connect on similar level of values and understanding of life. I'm kinda rambling but great reaction guys!

I would venture that he _could_ mean that with everything this world tries to push you towards (and away from) it is rather difficult for people to accept Christ. Coming to Christ can indeed be a hard road from that perspective. I don't get the impression from Kanye that he *_at all_* believes in some sort of "merit" system that "religions" push on people. After all, Christianity isn't a religion. It's a personal relationship with God entered into through faith in Yeshua. It's permanent. No one can take you from Him once you are in His hand. We are His forever. And that is a great comfort and a cause for great peace within us.
He is letting God speak through his vessel to millions of people. But also asking for forgiveness. You shouldn’t have stopped the jazz playing that soothes your soul after hearing all that!!!!
