Pastor Robert Morris | The Jezebel Spirit | Gateway Church 

I'm 63 now & am walking with God now praise God. But when I was young we in my 20's & 30's I had this Jezebel spirit. My best friend even told me I had it but I didn't know what she meant. Looking back now on all those wild years I spent in the darkness, partying all the time, I see now she was right. Thank you Jesus for delivering me from that horrible spirit & for giving me a new heart with so much love for you Lord. You delivered me of that spirit and gave me a new life in you. One where I'm helping others & serving God by serving others. He gave me a new spirit one that loves others & is eager to serve others. And loves God more than anything. I will praise your name Jesus to my last breath. Amen

I’ve have an extreme father wound, that statement blew my mind. Jezebel has been attacking me since I was a little girl, 4 years old maybe. I was nearly kicked out of a Christian kindergarten for kissing a boy in the bathroom. I lost my virginity at 14, and that spiritually broke me. I have always been full of fear, rejection, depression, mental illness, broken marriage, poverty.. I could go on. I was approached to be sexually trafficked right before my 18th bday which lead me to being a stripper for 3 years. The lord called me out of that place but my fear didn’t keep me from sexual immorality, poverty, division, gossip, witchcraft,goodness so much. I was full of compromise and still battle compromise in my life. I was an alcoholic and went to treatment for nearly a year. I’ve abused drugs and have come out of all of it, by ONLY the grace of GOD. He has now revealed to me my calling and I’m leading a small womens church group (first time ever) and was baptized for the first time in my life 3 weeks ago at age 42. I have whole faith he will bring the seed he planted in me, before birth, that I WILL walk out the calling he has placed on my life! I will bring so many lost souls to be saved by Christ and nothing will stop me. Hallelujah!!! To GOD be the GLORY!!!

My family has been under attack of this spirit for years and it escalated when my father died. Am glad for this clarity. The spirit sows discord, strife, division and confusion in families and it undermines any form of authority in families and ministries. It also manifests in the form of parental alienation through slander and false accusations

I had never been taught anything like this. Mine started when I was so little I couldn’t remember exactly when. I am 62 and didn’t even know what has been going on in my life was due to that spirit. Thank you Pastor for answering some of the questions I have had for years.

I was shocked when I realized what we were dealing with but it then made sense as I woke up to her trying to take my husband to stop the annointing on our life! Some men have a Jezebel spirit as well it's not just women.

This sermon supplied many of the answers I’ve been asking God for. Father wound leading to jezebel spirit? Man, that makes perfect sense now. The Lord has really driven home the notion of father wounds lately. I’m battling that in a couple of fronts.

The spirit of Jezebel does try to kill you. It tries to kill your ministry, dreams, anointing and calling. It does make a demand for respect. Sometimes it's those who say they're not about titles, yet glory in their titles and use it to oppress others. Father wounds can make it difficult for ministers/ leaders to lead correctly. A shepherd guards the sheep, not beats or devours the sheep. Those with 'Father wounds' will use discipline in a way of justifying spiritual abuse. "You cannot out argue a demon. A person under demonic influence will not admit they're wrong. Because if they admit wrong, it weakens their case". It's true that most under this spirit will not repent. Don't be gracious to this spirit. Wow. Great insight! Jezebel can be anyone, from layman to leaders. Jezebel spirits are jealous and in competition to those who have a great calling. While they may even acknowledge your anointing, they will do anything they can to shut it down. Thanks for a great message! Needs to be taught more within the Body of Christ. The prayer time at the end was amazing! Great bondage breaking prayer! Just wanted to add that to my comment. Praising Jesus for anointed Word and prayer!

I am grateful for this answer to my prayers. We all need this check and balance in our walk with the Lord. I know for a fact this ugly ugly thing looks for a door periodically with anyone through offense and injury emotionally. We must keep the door closed and keep check and balance of our hearts and thoughts. We MUST be quick to repent. Be humble. The victory is in the bowed life.

After watching and studying the scriptures, I want to thank you Ps Robert Morris for sharing this. I am aware of not just how the Jezebel spirit tries to get access into the church, but how it gains access into individuals and families homes and causes destruction to occur even before getting to the church. This spirit is gets more cunning and stronger as we allow this spirit to manipulate our lives and cause to be very lazy and lethargic about our walk with God. The reason we need to get back to putting on the armour of God is so that we are protected and that we can stand in the day of evil. Tiredness and burnout in our lives trying to make individual, family and church life happen through performance, personality christianity has got to stop and we need to get back to standing firm in Jesus and resisting the enemy by submitting to God's authority first and foremost in everything. I had a dream once about an attack of this spirit. In the dream I was standing in my bathroom and there was a fine crack in the countertop and many baby spiders came out of the crack. I was amazed and wondering how so many spiders could have been hidden under the countertop. Then suddenly a huge black widow spider came out and faced me. I knew it was going to attack me so I turned and ran. It chased me and when I got to the other end of my house in the guess bathroom it jumped up onto the counter and it was about to attack. I heard the voice of the Lord saying turn around and face it. I started looking for something to smash it and I was thinking this is going to be messy. While I was looking for something to smash it with , the hand of God came down and smashed it. I have had many a battle with this spirit in my Christian walk. God is good and the victory is in him.

Amen, that is the truth. You can't reason with a person under demonic spirit influence. And know even if it's your closest loved one, you have to speak in the authority of Jesus to the spirit, because the person usually isn't capable of speaking to you in that moment.

I don’t know who you are Pastor, but I didn’t know I needed this message. Thank you for letting God use you to expose the spirit of Jezebel. Btw I’m not a leader, I just allowed the Jezebel spirit in my life through ppl and even myself. All the signs you said, I’ve been experiencing, so I just repented and rebuked and cast out the spirit of jezebel.

The Jezebel spirit in my life is my mother. I’ve gone through so much with that woman. She is a covert narcissist to the 100th degree. I’ve experienced everything you mentioned including the sickness. I’m in the middle of battling stage 4 B cell lymphoma that started in my bones. Only 3% of lymphomas start in the bones. I’m the first person in my whole family to have this. Even going back generations. I had painful bone lesions for 4 years before that. I went to 7 different specialists and no one could tell me why it was happening. I had Daily migraines for years, before that. The neurologist could not tell me why it was happening and nothing I did stopped them. I have been sick in some way or another for a decade. All of this after allowing her back into my life as an adult. She left us with our dad when we were small. I cut her from my life finally at the end of 2019. I went almost 17 years trying to get her to see what she’d been doing. Wasted years trying to get her to change her ways. Nothing I said or did ever made any difference. She took full advantage of my sense of duty and responsibility to her as my parent. She used me for everything she could get, and still made me feel like I owed her more. Nothing was ever enough. She even had me questioning myself as a person. I did not know that I had to repent for allowing her into my life and the lives of my husband and children. Thank you so much for this message. I believe the jezebel spirit is having major influence over the world right now. We must do everything we can to remove it from our lives and the lives of those that follow us. I feel lighter, and stronger already after having heard this message. This message has done more for me and my family than you can ever know. Thank you and God bless you, pastor Morris.

I experienced some sort of attack....that felt like it was trying to kill me or lead to something of sort....so prayers for anyone who experienced such things.....

This is such an important message for the church. People have a hard time confronting in ministries and churches and the people go through unnecessary problems because of it! Lord give us leaders a spirit of boldness to confront spiritual attacks in our churches.

I’ve had it happen twice. Both were supposed to be close/ best friends but it was all about position. That’s hard. First time I never knew what this was until the Holy Spirit revealed it to me. The second time I recognized it but it was allowed to rule by an authority over me. I will say that humility can be false. They can act humble and really desire to be humble but sometimes the desire in them for control is stronger so they give in to the Jezebel Spirit. They manipulate to make you think they are humble to be given position and power.

This includes physical and spiritual adultery, also every believer is called to be the head and not the tail, therefore we are all leaders to someone

I knew our manager had an evil spirit in her. Now realize the main one was Jezebel

wow, thank you for this message. I had a friend who was showing these tendencies, refused to accept any kind of correction and I was being spiritually attacked. So I cut off the relationship , the attacks stopped and my peace and joy returned.

Amen every single paster needs to hear this message. As a worship musician I have had to leave a couple of church homes because a Jezebel spirit was not just allowed, but encouraged in the servants.

Deliver me please lord

This was so good! My goodness #7!!!!!!!!!! Started a Bible Fellowship. Didn't want to lead it thought we could all be free in the spirit but the Jezebel spirit began to pop up. I learned a great lesson.

This is quite a remarkable look at the spiritual battle we are engaged in. As Pastor Robert said more than once, our enemy is the spiritual wickedness and not the human who is caught in its deceptive grip. I recall a personal experience where the Lord gave me very clear words of light that exposed the lies of the wicked one. The Light very powerully dispelled the darkness. I could see that my 'friend' was being given the opportuity to come into the Light or to leave with the darkness in that moment. It grieved me that she left but I learned a valuable lesson. May the Blood of the Lamb cover us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness and evil afliction in the name of Jesus and unto the Glory of God our Father. Amen

Amazing stuff! Wish my old church had of listened about these things, but it appears they would prefer to ‘stone the prophet’ than to accept any correction or help. It’s a very disturbing sight when theses wicked demonic spirits are feasting on an entire congregation.

I was guided to this sermon, im currently divorcing after 12 years and my husband has the Jezebel Spirit, i watched him shape shift before me. He backslid into alcohol & he was having an affair at work. These entities are very real. Im 8 months into a very difficult divorce process, he lies,hides assets and the courts are Godless. May God continue to strengthen me❤🙏

My father is a narcissist which is the jezebel spirit. He is a snake in the grass that helps people just like the snake helps the environment by eating little rodents. He will wait until your vulnerable and then strike to get your assets. He doesn’t need the money. He is greedy. He is prideful and greedy. He knows I know what he is so that is why he stays away and has pushes me away. All deeds will come into the light. God bless

Amen! My husband's mother was a covert narcissist (Jezebel spirit) and she was very controlling. She nearly destroyed my marriage and even though she died in February of 2020, my marriage is still badly damaged. She would be sneaky and snipe at me and my children, two of them in particular. She kept at it till nearly the day she died. Most of that family either hates me for finally growing a backbone and protecting one of my younger children from that woman or they just keep quiet like they were trained to do or pretend they don't see what was right in front of them. To my great shame I went along with that family for decades and didn't protect my oldest like I should have so that family expected I'd roll over and do the same with one of my younger kids. Since I didn't my husband's sister has shunned me, my FIL acts like he doesn't really know why we stayed away and my husband, before his mother died, tried to force me to take my children to his mother and spend long periods of time around her while he ran off with his father. Ugly arguments were involved. Anyway, now my two oldest children have succumbed to the world's influences. They are both living very sinful lives and they try to influence my younger children in that same direction. We moved outside the city so the second child moved out (oldest moved out years ago) but they've both still come out to our house and some time ago have accused me of being hateful and "phobic" because I stopped the second youngest from showing my two middle kids shows with that kind of influence. That part happened back when she lived with us. She no longer lives with us. Please pray my prodigals back home. This world is spinning out of control and I want them to come back to God before it's too late. I spent my entire youth training them up. They know God's word, they memorized it, it was woven into their daily lives. I'm so discouraged. Thank you.

This was a powerful message I admit that I didn’t understand all that Pastor Robert was talking about and it seems that that’s what has happened to a lot of teenagers and I didn’t know what to do about it but I’m going to try and pray and ask God for his guidance and to give me strength to overcome this spirit

Listened to the sermon "stop tolerating the Jezebel spirit ". And even though I've known much of this material and have lived through it, much I did not know but now know what I went through when I was and am rejected, I went right into the present of another. I now know what I was facing. What an amazing God we have that He has taught me by bringing me through a difficult time and protected and defended me in it.

Jonathan had issues with his father, but also David had issues with his das, so Gideon, so Judah, so Jacob, so most people in leadership, with all due respect to the pastor the interpretation of Jonathan's friendship to David is avery shaky one, never the less, is a great message Praise The Lord!

I heard your previous sermon on not tolerating Jezebel, but I needed to hear this, as well. This spirit is what has been at work in my birth family for decades. I have had to separate myself from them about 3-4 years ago. The condemnation gets oppressive, I think there’s something I should be doing since they are my birth family. They use Bible verses out of context, and smear my character. It’s awful. Sad and depressing. Thank you!! God bless you!!!

There is no doubt in my mind that this can effect leadership in the home. Yes, a husband can exhibit every detail of what Pastor Robert is saying: They crave: Position Demand Respect Control Title Submission They don't: Worship Abandon themselves before God (naked, like David) Hear Truth Reason with you Listen to God's voice Apply His Word Or have a servants ❤ heart, wanting to come alongside the mission together and be the example of Eph 5; showing a lost and dying world what Salvation looks like. Behind closed doors is reprehensible and would expose to the world who they really are :( Wives can and do act the same way! Just gotta say... I have been listening to Pastor Robert for about 10 years now and NEVER has he spoken with this much conviction on a topic; as strongly as he has done here. This kept popping upon my feed and I thought it was the old sermon he preached on Jezabel years ago. Nope!!! I am glad I pressed play! Thank you for clarity and wisdom Pastor. My eyes are wide open !
