I agree more with scientific theories on science-based topics. Faith-based beliefs should be about salvation. That's why early churches used to persecute people when they said the earth was a sphere and not a flat disk. Because they believed while others were thinking.
7:46 stratosphere is a part of a layer that makes up the earths atmosphere and they make up the earth's weather -(they are: troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere and so on)... I believe hapo umetu misinform Mr.T
@@ChavoRoJa with the evidence we have, we fail to reject the alternative hypothesis (big bang theory is not a fact), with some degree of confidence that is always less than a 100. This means that, the evidence that is available so far, supports the theory. Therefore big bang theory is not fiction because there is enough evidence to prove it though not 100 percents certain.
According to me the best arguments against religion or God are the Problem of Evil Argument and the Hiddenness Argument... And the best argument against what Pastor T is describing here as "having faith in science" are science depends on the human brain for comprehension, which is inherently bounded, and it relies on human senses to experience the world and reality, which also have inherent limitations. The limitations of our scientific knowledge will become evident when we encounter an extraterrestrial civilization possessing more advanced brains and highly developed senses than our own.
So, which side do I belong to? 😁... A careful observation of nature reveals a pervasive force actively working towards a defined objective. This force is dedicated to sustaining life, evident in behaviors like the instinct to escape danger, the pursuit of food to stave off hunger, and a powerful drive for reproduction and nurturing of offspring. My spiritual philosophy aligns with pantheism, asserting that the universe is a living entity, and all existence is interconnected within the One. Whether referred to as God, the universe, or nature, it encapsulates the divine essence I perceive.
I've come to understand that separateness and individualism are illusions. Having explored both atheism and the church, I encountered dissatisfaction in their respective explanations of the world and how we experience it.
Theory is a fact (with a certain level of confidence, usually less than 100 per cent) as of that time. If new evidence comes up later, then that fact can be discarded and the new one adopted. Sometimes we are limited by information.
@kinara5365 facts can not be changed, but theories can be changed. As more facts are discovered, a developed theory can change. Hence, theories can not be classified as fact
@@kennethmwaura9879 in science, of an observation has been repeatedly confirmed, it maybe regarded as a fact as of upto that point in time. Facts can change over time as new sophisticated evidence is discovered or developed. In science, what is accepted today as a fact maybe be modified or discarded tomorrow. That's how science works. I think you are being general, am purely in the realms of science as a discipline. Just like mwaf said, a theory in every day English is not the same theory in science. A theory is science is something that has repeatedly been confirmed and can be regarded as truth/fact. That's theory for you in science terms. Don't mix it with the everyday definition of theory in English dictionaries.
@@kennethmwaura9879 take PLUTO for example. It was classified as one of the NINE planets. It was a fact that Pluto was a planet according to scientific evidence by that time. However, as technology advanced and became more sophisticated, it has been phased out as a planet. Pluto turns out to be not a planet. That's a fact that changed over time as it's now a fact that Pluto is not a planet. A theory is science is a CONFIRMED observation, which makes it a fact as of that particular period in time.
I don't agree with Pastor T when he says the world could have been billions of years in age. "There was morning and evening, first day" and so on and so forth. That makes it 24 hours. So the world was created in 6 literal days
As an atheist myself, Mwafreeka unatuangusha. Mr T. doesn't know what he's talking about and it would be very easy to obliterate any argument he brings forth. Watch and listen to the late Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins. Plenty of material from those individuals to put any religious person to shame.
@@ianwaithaka4697 and what sentence is that? Most atheists, unlike religious folk - note that I didn't single out Christians only - DO NOT force their ideologies on other people, neither do we HATE 'God' or religious people. Our position simply put is, we DO NOT BELIEVE in the existence of deities, nor do we believe we get our morals from them. We believe the evidence presented to support the claim that gods do exist is simply not good enough, and in this day and age, we know a whole lot about the nature of reality compared to the Bronze age goat herders who authored the Bible and other religious books.
@Iko Nini Mwafreeka kidogo anachukuaa scientific presuppositions(theory) as Facts yet for something to be declared as Factual it must under go Tests and reproducible results attained( according to science). From Science own tenets, the Evolution theory false apart because Humans are not evolving further neither are animals and birds instead certain organisms are becoming extinct. Secondly, earth being a billion years old or not is a stand alone issue; it neither proves a point or discredit biblical narration. Reason is simple, the biblical narration is attributed to what happens to A man? , how man should behave , Who created A man? , what's the relationship between Man and His creator among others?.Any knowledge that man discovers in the course of His life time simply means He's finding what His Creator had Created; Advance in Research unveils God perfect Design.
