I agree. This is the best song in Eurovision in the last 20 years. The fact it didn't win is not relevant as Eurovision often picks lesser songs to win Viva Espana !! 🏴🇪🇺
@@nerjadude I remember hearing at the time that she’d been advised by spanish officials that Spain couldn’t afford to host the contest so she shouldn’t try to win it. To her credit ignored that advice and gave it her all.

I’m English and every time I hear this the emotion from the song cuts right through me I don’t know the translation and I’ve never wanted to know the translation. It simply doesn’t need it. My favourite Eurovision song of now and probably forever always reduces me to tears.

I'm Irish and I speak Spanish. I know exactly what she was saying but that makes no difference. It's just as beautiful and just as moving whatever language she sings in. She could sing in Swahili and it would still move me to tears.

Actually if you translated it it still wouldn't disappoint. The translation they gave you is actually wrong, there's too much of the translator's opinion. But it is close and as you can see it's still good. I can't be objective since my mother tongue is Spanish but thank you for your comment!

Es que cuando alguien es grande musicalmente y tiene una inmensa propuesta musical no hay nada que temer. Si lo ejecuta de la manera que lo hizo esta mujer, el resultado es secundario. Decidir participar en Eurovisión cuando no hay nada que demostrar es un acto que engrandece al artista.

Pues aunque parezca mentira, será siempre más recordado el Quedate conmigo, que el SloMo, independientemente de un 10° o 3er puesto (al menos entre los españoles). Sin desmerecer a Chanel en su actuación, pero esta balada queda grabada en la mente de uno, el SloMo pues no, sin menospreciar el esfuerzo que conlleva bailar una coreografía y cantar al mismo tiempo.

A ver si se pasan por aquí todos nuestros vecinos Europeos que continuamente nos menosprecian,se burlan diciendo que España no está al nivel de Europa y que sólo apuesta por el mal gusto o que nuestras actuaciones son ridiculas o no tienen nivel.... 2024 y aún hoy Pastora podría competir con las candidatas de la edición de este año y arrasar con todas ellas.... Magistral!!!! Pero,esto, no lo muestran nunca cuando hacen ese pequeño resumen de las canciones que ha interpretado España en el festival de Eurovisión.....No vaya a ser que alguien se vaya a sorprender del nivel que tiene España y que Europa subestima!!! Por cierto, compitió en la misma edición de Loreen con Euphoria y como siempre, aún siendo Pastora superior por muchos kilómetros,pues no ganó. Bravo Pastora!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
no soy español, pero vivo ya 20 años en España (con gusto) En los últimos 20 años los cantantes que se hayan presentado al eurovisión de España no eran de los mejores, pero para mi este canción se merece haber ganado, no solo en 2012, sino en la historia... para mi es la mejor canción que se haya podido hacer en los últimos 20 años de eurovisión, tanto que me lo puse en mi boda... enhorabuena, y ojala que salgan mas canciones de tan calibre...
Best voice in ESC ever!! This song is the only one that everybody listen to from time to time (6 years later in my case) to feel the deep emotion that it produces. No matter you don't understand the lyrics, or you don't speak any Spanish...is what music is all about.. to create feelings with that voice it's just amazing, breathtaking and eternal.
