A boundary is for me to feel calm, confident, and have peace of mind knowing I am not ALLOWING myself to endure the same stress, conflict bring, or tension in the relationship or in the exchange with this person. If engaging with anyone including but not limited to parental figures compromises the previously mentioned, then you’re in absolutely NO OBLIGATION to abide by their will for their confort, reassurance, or validation. Healthy boundaries often times aren’t taught growing up. It’s no wonder what his message is saying is controversial. People are being rocked out of their confort zones. I’m immensely grateful these topics are being discussed and taught. ❤

Yes indeed Pastor Greg, taking care of widows is so important. That's what Jesus did from the cross with John taking care of Mary the mother of Jesus.

JoAnn Parrott here thinking that when Jesus was on the cross he said to his disciple John to behold his mother (Mary) and then Woman behold your son (referring to John). Honoring mother & father trumps being responsible.

What if the wife has call the mother in law horrible names and has tried to turn her husband against the Mom and is keeping the Grand kids from the Grandparents, ( my sister is dealing with this)

I understand what your trying to say Chip, however some of the responsibility that children have for their parents is out of respect. Now if the relationship between parents and children depends on if there are unhealthy boundaries
