Let me first say that I enjoy listening to your program on the radio as well as viewing it on RU-vid at times. I just listened to your explanation about Jordan and the promised Land. I agree with most of it. Respectfully, I do believe that the promised land can be used as a euphemism for heaven, because heaven is a prepared place for those of us who trust and obey Him. To that end, I can see where Jordan could be a representative death and that we have to pass from these earthly vessels through death to get to heaven. Hence crossing the river, Jordan. I do not see where this takes away from the fact that the actual promised land is promised to the children of Israel. I do realize some people choose to take it that way, but I don’t see where it has to be. During slavery time any place a slave could escape to to be free with referred to as the promised land. And when one died, it was said that he had crossed the river, because now in death he was free.
