Isn't Konami one of the biggest companies out there? Do you honestly see someone like them falling off because of a botched remake? The remake will come out, people will shit on it for a month or 2, then everyone will forget about it, just as they did with RE3 remake, just as they did with the Velma show.
Goes to show that horror, no matter the type (Indie, Mascot, Popculture, Tripple A) really enjoys being a circle jerk after someone gets something right. (Also Pastra raging is a music to my ears.)
Ever since they deliberately sabotaged PT, I just can't get invested in anything they make. Not only do they drag their feet to make anything, but they do so with overbearing spite that puts nintendo to shame.
With nintendo it’s not so much spite and more of they just don’t give a fuck what you think and will do what they want, with Konami, they realized that they simply can’t just make gambling machines because that doesn’t make all the money, so they’re going to make their little nostalgia conveyor belt to get enough money to SpringBoard back into the big leagues
@@ghostshrimp5006 Absolute hard disagree. Nintendo 100% does what they do out of spite. I don't even agree that Konami is worse in that department. There's plenty of companies that just do not care about their fans or their IPs, and will gladly exploit, neglect, and abuse them to the extreme. But Nintendo is special. I've never seen any company, video game or otherwise, match the sheer, genuine, utter contempt they have for their fans. They go beyond even companies like Konami or Blizzard, because those companies don't care. Nintendo DOES care. They care a lot. They're not satisfied being horrible like the others; they will actively _go out of their way_ to be outright *malicious* towards their fans. Konami is a greedy, soulless corporation only out for profit, and they're completely shameless about it, if not even _proud_ of it. But Nintendo _doesn't_ act exclusively for the sake of profit; many heinous things they do gain them nothing, or even COST them. Konami is greedy and spiteful. Nintendo flat-out _hates_ you.
@@mr.kittysavestheworld695 Look i understand, it can absolutely feel like that at times, but the thing to remember is the nintendo higher-ups are all old and stubborn people who have no idea what an Xbox is, and even if they do know some current things there too stuck in their ways to jump on an opportunity
P.T. will always be, in my personal opinion, one of the biggest missed opportunities ever. They had this masterpiece of horror, and they just canceled it. Even as someone who doesn't know much about Silent Hill, I could tell that it had a lot of potential. It still feels a little sad, honestly, to know that nothing will likely come of it.
You know with all the shit Konamis done, I'm probably not excited for any of the new silent hill games except for Townfall since it's being made by No Code
What's funny is that, we all played this game before in 2012, arguably the worst year for the franchise next to the year the franchise was given to westerners. In 2012 that utterly unacceptable ""remaster"" of Silent Hill 2 was released along with Downpour and I think Book of Memories. Over a decade ago the franchise was basically knee-capped and slayed, I don't have any hopes for a rebirth in 2023/2024 with "modern gaming" being what it is...

i did a quick comparisons sinse i haved seen it in like... ever. and the spear looks way cooler than the stupid knife *which looks like a sword. dude that is not a knife, buddy that is a great sword* if someone who has no idea what going on and thinks the original idea are better, then you know you messed up
I'm actually kinda impressed how even if they probably knew at the moment that Kojima was the last important face in the company, how they managed to let him go, like I know he's probably difficult to work with his 2 week sniper fight but still, now they haven't managed to bring anything note-worthy since and they have all their IP's chained into Pachinko machines instead.
@@NEEDbacon I was considering going on a rant on how what you said proves that Bomberman to Konami is what Banjo-Kazooie is to Microsoft. But I think we both understand the basic idea that Konami sucks. In my eyes, they’re the ones who kept Bomberman dormant and (briefly) left Mario Party without a developer studio. Wait, this is sort of a rant isn’t it? Oh well, no biggie.
Konami got to be the worst gaming company of all time, the amount of bad decisions they made, make EA and activision-blizzard cry of fear And i agree with phisnom saying after SH4 the franchise went downhill, but i will say that Shattered memories was the only good game made by the western studio out of the rest
Konami is so determined to take silent hill out back and tell it to think about the rabbits even though it has the potential to still be an amazing series. It’s so infuriating.

The Medium is the game that Bloober worked on - there's a really good review by MertKayKay on the whole thing, if you don't mind spoilers. However, it wasn't just mental health they tackled, and I don't want to say too much without giving the whole vid/game away on a rando comment.

How much do you guys want to bet that the reason Konami won't lose a lot of money its because a lot of people will buy the Silent Hill 2 remake and therefore they won't lose profit?
if you see how they treat Yugioh you'd have been angry way earlier tbh they are only about money. Tl:dr on that, in Yugioh they alter banlists so people buy new cards and use their addictions against them, they're scum.
