Written by Eric Lowen (RIP) and Dan Navarro. I used to see them at clubs all over LA in the late 80s and 90s...what a great time for music in LA. This version is very much like the original they recorded before Pat Benatar released her version.

Pat Benatar's been my fav singer thru 70s and 80s and I can say that choosing this song proves that you girls know her repertoire very deeply. Anyway i think that an other song from Benatar's like Too long a soldier would fit you perfectly too.

About 15 years ago I worked with a guy who was a fairly prolific musician, not for a living (he was a marketing guy) but he played numerous instruments, had a music room in his house, and had been in numerous bands. So one day he tells me this story about when he was in high school and his band was looking for a new singer. A female classmate auditioned and had a PHENOMENAL voice but he and his bandmates thought she dressed like a dork and she wouldn't fit their vibe. Plus her boyfriend was always hanging around too much. They felt like the dorks a few years later when that same classmate, Patricia Andrzejewski, married the boyfriend, Dennis Benatar, and became a world famous singer songwriter. 😳😳😳 She's from where I live (Long Island)

Megan is the quintessential supportive older sister who dedicates her lap guitar expertise and harmonious voice to perfectly complement her baby sister's lead vocals - their love of the music and for each other is almost overwhelming whenever they perform.

I was trying to figure something out why you had the green and yellow tape around the sound hole. I thought maybe it was some sponge to help mute the high strings and give that great chunky sound to the acoustic. Wasn't till almost the end I realized they were on the mic cable. Excellent musicians have a great rhythmic feel. Larkin and Poe groove even without bass and drums. The “time” is inside.

I went to a music festival a few days ago and Larkin Poe was 1 of 4 headlining. Rebecca and Megan were on fire. I love when they harmonize and Rebecca has a voice that is just amazing. I was literally getting goosebumps when she sang.

I was 20 when this song came out and it played on my cassette recorder all day. Despite the poor sound quality, I heard these backing harmonies and was happy to be able to sing along. I always felt great when the song came on, but today was the first time I had full-body goosebumps. A deep cover version. Compliment!
