Happens when players opt out from their European contract (if the contract has a clause on these terms, which they tend to do). Campazzo, for instance, still paying to Real Madrid for his brief tenure in the NBA. Tuff, but very respectful.

I saw this video of Patrick Beverly signing autographs for people and a kid is next in line. When he makes it to the front, Pat actually talked to the young boy and engaged with him about his age and school, etc. versus just signing and moving on. I've been a fan ever since. Respect to Pat Bev. ✌🏾
