It isn't the quintessential country song but just a great song period. That guitar lick is still up there with the greatest intros involving a delay effect in my opinion.

It is one of those songs that you hear when in tractor supply and remember what a great song it was/is and stop and find yourself singing it in the isle between the horse feed and the motor oil. What a awesome song. Wish the pop star “country artists” knew how to write a good song like this instead of pandering

This song helped me a lot when I was doing Long Haul Trucking. I would be gone from home for three weeks at a time. I suffer from depression and this song always cheered me up. Long Haul Trucking is a very lonely job. I finally hung it up after five years. I bought the CD and played it when I got depressed. Pat Green. Thank you for this beautiful song.

I can close my eyes and see him performing this at the Iowa vs UNI game. He sang it for the kids that were in Stead Family Children's Hospital. Nothing could have been better than seeing him on stage waving at a room full of kids, who were there for medical treatment. The Iowa Wave is a great way to show them we're thinking of them.
