I got the matte palette yesterday (surprised how quickly it shipped to the UK!) and have used it twice already! I needed a matte palette in my collection and as soon as I saw this colour story I knew I wanted it. Also I appreciate the light packaging for it's practicality for travel. I have very light skin so with the regular matters from the motherships my looks easily turn out very strong. These colours are very soft and allow me to be more subtle. 5 of 6 are great as a transition (apart from the light beige which is great for a nude look, blending out edges or base for other shadows). There is enough depth for my skin tone as well. One thing I noticed the first time I used it, maybe because I kept packing them on to try different shades, at one point I could no longer add the dark brown on top of the light colours, it just wouldn't stick so they are not unlimitedly stackable. Overall this palette gives a soft, blended natural look, that lasts well and is great if you are on the lookout for a good quality practical but comprehensive matte palette. I didn't pick up the liquid eyeshadows because I've established this sort of product is not my cup of tea, I prefer the experience to put and blend well eyeshadow to a liquid✌️
The gray/lavendar one that you thought would look like taupe, it's awesome on you.... not sold on the matte palette and agree the packaging is not up to the par with a high end product, even tho the design is cute.

I've been using the Armani liquid shadows for years. What I found is that they work best applied first, on clean eyes without primer. After that, if I want crease definition, or shadow under my lower lash line, I use powder. Then it lasts all day and looks great. Thanks for coming back with a second try on. Now I want these. The matte palette looks great too. Thanks for the video!💚
@@TaniaBWells They have a more subtle, less reflective finish. No glitter. So a more elegant result. I use them as a one and done for the gym or running errands. But they are also ideal for a finished look when you are running late (which I often am). I currently have Flannel, Cold Copper, Gold Ashes and Rose Ashes.. Flannel is a bit cooler and has a subtle pink micro reflect. The others are pretty shades too. I don't like ro build them beyong 2 coats, and often just use one sheer coat applied with fingers. Long wear and no creases. And I'm over 50. Haven't tried the metallics or the mattes,
I love your looks as always. Those liquid eyeshadows seem fantastic for an evening out. The palette seems nice too, the package is indeed kitsch, I would buy this one and stick an image or a photo on top of that heart. It seems so childish. I wish PMG team had more taste on the packaging, I think Lisa Eldridge 6 pan palette and it is like night and day...! But hey thank you so much for this amazing video. Hugs to both you and Andrew. ❤
I absolutely love the liquid shadows. Picked up the platinum(it’s actually not too purpley It’s more of a metallic platinum) and Platinum bronze is gorgeous too. As always enjoyed your video. Abs you look beautiful 😍
I ordered 2 of the palettes the all matte & mauve one. I really wanted the lilac/silvery one that sold out, it was gone So fast! I ordered the lighter liquid shadow, wasn’t too sure about the formula. I’m glad they seem so budge proof but super fast drying can also be an issue for me, I want a bit of blend time. Boring palettes excite me as well, maybe it’s because I just know they tend to be the most useful in my daily life. This matte palette looked more “neutral” where a lot of her mattes lean warm, I was hopeful it would pair with motherships. I’m very happy to see how easy these were to blend for you! Now if Pat could just release bronzers and pressed baked face powders like her undereye powders….that would make my year!
Great review as always. I’m looking forward to putting the liquid shadows on! I’m a big fan of them. The best on the market are by Violette_Fr. I’ve tried Armani, Sisley, REM, About Face, Lisa Eldridge, Half Magic, Haus Labs and Chanel. Yes, I’m a bit obsessed with the product type. Violette’s take the prize, no contest, although she doesn’t yet have a neutral matte “skin tone” that I love for me. For that I love About Face or Armani. The Lisa Eldridge crease on me. Sisley is meh but fine. Half Magic has wild colors and average performance. I may be allergic to Haus which is a shame because the ones I’ve tried are beautiful. Chanel can be ok or awful. Stay away, far away. About Face has the best color range for mattes. REM seems good but the matte color I bought is too cool tone for me so I don’t use it much. I used to use an Armani matte that’s discontinued with PMG Sublime palette for work almost every day. Now I use and Armani shimmer all the time with that palette, so I’m excited to see if Pat’s own liquid shadows match up!
I appreciate that you got this review out so quickly! I might go for the matte palette during a bigger sale if it’s still around. It looks lovely but I agree, I wish the packaging was sleeker and matched its price. Great review!

You’re first review up Tania! Hopefully that gets you more views but yay for us. The eyeshadow has gone up 10% compared to Bridgerton in AUD. I prefer cardboard packaging as I don’t like plastic in terms of weight, recyclability and generally comes with higher prices - but it went up anyway. I hope she does a release with the Bridgerton matte formula as that is my favourite. I hope the liquid eyeshadow is permanent or restocked! I tried to be good and skip PML and now regret the Star Wars pots/palettes and now these liquids going out of stock so quickly.
I bought the matte palette and the platinum bronze shadow. Tried to get the twilight platinum but it must have sold out literally in seconds! Grrrrrrrrr. I love the mattes on their own and the liquid shadows on their own - the looks you created were lovely xx

I just REALLY hope PMG restocks the Platinum Bronze!!!! or that Sephora gets all of these liquid topper / shadows - they look like the VB lid luster formula, but liquid - gorgeous!!
I enjoy your videos very much . I have a suggestion though . Maybe can u give more makeup tutorials especially eyes and bring the camera closer so we can see what your doing. Mel Thompson used to do that and so many people loved that . I think it would help the channel a lot .
This was exactly the review and try on I needed to go ahead and order the palette! I have a weakness for mattes, and this one looks so creamy and blendable. Nothing new, nothing special but I love smaller palettes where I know I will get use out of each shade, and can work for both every day and smokier looks 😍 I hope the liquid shadows restock, especially seeing they don’t budge or crease!

I’m so, so excited for my order to arrive! I got the matte palette and the lightest palette. I can’t wait to use them! I was waiting for reviews to try the liquid shadows, and I’m so excited they didn’t crease on you! I’ll take drying fast for long wear because I have hooded eyes. I’m going to try one! (The second look as a one and done was stunning, too, and really looked different. It didn’t look as cool toned that way!)
@@RoseOfMadina I really love it. It’s my favorite and most used thing from her line I’ve gotten this year. I like PMG mattes because they are so versatile to work with. One shadow can be built up or buffed out to look like you’ve used 3 different shades. Plus, I have oily, hooded lids that eat eyeshadow. PMG mattes are the longest lasting on me of literally any eyeshadow brand I’ve tried. (I always use a primer no matter what I’m using because I’m oily and hooded) I honestly think the mattes in this palette are her best formula yet. They just blend so easily. And I love the variety of shades, too. I use it all the time with metallic singles I have or just to build a base for a look in general. It’s a 10/10 for me in performance, shade selection, and the amount of usage I get from it.

The matte palette colors remind me of the too faced chocolate liquid matte eyeshadows, which I really like in case someone’s looking for an alternative
I’ve never clicked on a video so fast 😊😅 & yes you’re the first to review this collection … I got all three 6 pan palettes & in the bundle plus the 10% off they cost way less than the $65 each & I got 2 of the liquid shadows … one you have luna rose & the chartreuse green one 😍 I’m very excited to try these ! I like the packaging lol & when she first released these (years ago) the packaging was worse cause it was this terrible tri- fold packaging that really made them hard to use as the packaging didn’t stay open … another thing to note is that these palettes aren’t made in Italy but in the USA of imported ingredients … I love these 6 pan palettes & I’ve collected them & I love the mattes in them as opposed to the big motherships where the mattes are hit & miss … loved your looks & thank you for getting this video up first ! I’ll be pairing the all matte palette with her shimmers & with her Star Wars pot pigments which we’re also so good !!
I know this is a luxury channel, but I've grown to prefer cardboard for environmental reasons. I just decluttered a lot of expired eyeshadows and taking apart the plastic packaging to recycle it was brutal, and who knows if the components can actually be recycled. I love the artwork on the PM cardboard packaging as well. I just wish it were less bulky and less expensive.
This is the first time I’ve seen one of your videos, can I suggest that you give more info about the products as you use them? Like tell us the names of the liquid shadows when you swatch them, tell us the name of the matte palette & some explanation about the love collection. Also I really like the packaging! Makes it easier to find what you’re looking for instead of her usual all black everything.

I was wondering how the liquid shadows compare to Lisa Eldridge's Liquid Lurex shades? Love the looks. I got the matte palette and the Lunar Rose shade. I wanted the platinum bronze but it was sold out.
This was my first eyeshadow purchase from Pat McGrath (I’m not a fan of shimmery or sparkly formulas). I love the colors and the matte formula (I needed a basic palette, but not one with so many colors I’ll never use). It was pricey and I confess, the packaging was surprisingly disappointing. I would have paid a little more for quality high-end packaging. I was also apprehensive about the buying experience, especially since I immediately received an email apologizing for any delivery delays, but I received my palette a few days after I ordered (I’m in the NYC area). Although I don’t regret the purchase, I will be hesitant to purchase future palettes if the packaging is cardboard.
I passed on this collection. I loved the idea of an all matte palette, I just love mattes. However, when I saw the shades I was disappointed - half of the palette looks like shades that already exist ~ the obligatory shades of pink!! She could've given us a khaki, a mustard, a green or even a muted blue! The packaging is atrocious!! It's cheap, immature and very tacky. AND EXPENSIVE. I agree $65 for 6 shadows only is expensive but so is $128 for 10 that we get from pat, but she’s so much more than a makeup brand she’s an icon, a trailblazer, does anyone complain that versace shoes are $3k or do they just buy it for the name…? NO they never complain about versace with Pat McGrath we’re also paying for her name. The 6 pans have always been $65 tho. But that’s just how i look at it. N I’m never gna complain about a blk woman who was the anomaly backstage she can always have my coins… as a makeup lover we know deep down it’s overpriced but we get it still 😆🤷🏽♀️ & honestly ever since the first 2 quints mattes were so buttery & moist i now 100% think for this velvet matte formula to be $65 is finally appropriately priced, they feel luxe for a luxury brand. I’ve always liked her mattes but this new formula is top shelf. Does anyone complain about 4 Tiny ass pans from Tom Ford??? NO cuz he’s a respected designer so cmon ppl it’s not that serious but i gotta give some perspective i only hear ppl complain about pats prices . Even Charlotte Tilbury quads are by far the smallest lil rip off pans ever & with Tom ford & CT their quads are hit or miss
I think people complain cause the packaging is cheap ( to make ). When we purchase the 10 pans from Pat McGrath we pay for that luxurious packaging, formula for the special shades ( that is expensive to make ) and the pans are big. For an all matte palette, that has no special shades, cardboard packaging and very little product.. to me it seems too expensive. I would much rather pay for a 10 pan. Also, Pat McGrath has been knows for her luxurious packaging.. that’s what made her products stand out in the beginning… to me this seems like she’s cutting corners and making bank off of cheap packaging🤷♀️ not to say the formula is not good, it is wonderful, I love it.. but I also want the packaging to feel a bit more luxurious than drugstore🙈 Still Love Pat and she’s an icon for sure🥰
So I bought 3 of the Lisa Eldridge liquid eyeshadow & I was ALLERGIC! So bad my eyes were so swollen I could almost see my own eyelids! 😥 I think these look beautiful but I'm so nervous to try them. Looks beautiful on you!

I would LOVE a short with more close up swatch comparisons. It’s really difficult to tell from the swatches in the video if I should pick up the liquid shadow or not. Although it might not matter because all the shades I want are sold out 😩 P.S. I’m fully in agreement with the packaging. I freaking hate it. I would just prefer black metallic wrapped cardboard like she did the blue for one of the star wars palettes with like a sticker that resembles the gold logo but with slight variation so we could tell which palette is which just by the binding. I have to label all my Pat McGrath palettes-gaudy wrapped ones included. They’re almost so ugly that I can’t tell the difference because the print looks the same to me.
I bought this palette and the bronze liquid eyeshadow, just like you! I really wanted the silver and the champagne liquid eyeshadow, but it went from "coming soon" to "sold out"... Many people are saying the same I don't think she put on sale, and I don't know why 🤷♀️

I personally thought the all matte palette was a rip off since it had no shimmers and a pale color. I felt it should have been 10 dollars cheaper at least.
The quick dry down of the liquid shadows would be great for runway makeup artists i bet, you can apply quickly and not worry about it smudging or moving around
Her releases seem to unfortunately have become cash grabs. I wish she would tone down the releases and show us some creative magic, like with her early motherships. (And bring the *baked* special shades back too!).
The outer packaging gives me early 00's trashy love reality show vibes. Rock of Love, Flavor of Love....etc. I don't like it, lol. However I think the shadows themselves are very pretty.
Not saying it’s necessarily worth it but these 6 pans have more product/bigger pans. The quints have been 4g total for 5 shades and these are 6.6g. So 1.1g per vs .8g per
I couldn't care less about this palette.. In fact I was kinda disapointed that we have only mattes palette from Pat without special shades.. But now I feel like I need it😂which is not good because it is very expensive
Dry fast on the eye …hummm…keep us updated if it will not dry fast inside of the tube as well! I remember her mascara used to dry super fast inside of the tube ! I prefer Viseart’s mattes way better than Pat McGrath’s mattes …already have Lisa’s liquid eyeshadows , for me it will be a easy pass …unfortunately …nowadays Lisa Eldridge give me the excitements I used to have after Pat’s launches 😢
I get it, I have to admit I get more excited about Lisa Eldridge launches more than Pat McGrath. The liquid shadows stayed on ALL DAY LONG, so that’s a positive.
@@TaniaBWells This made me think of Armani shadows where you have to work fast and be careful layering. GA get thick and patchy if you try to build them but they do last all day. Do you think they are similar?
Hi Tania, great video, pat lost me 3 years ago, I only purchase her holiday palettes, her holiday palettes are GORG and different, her launches during the year are the same colors over and over, her packaging got cheap and prices went up, I lost interest in the brand. She just repeats and repeats in different packaging, and it bores me. Natasha’s midi palettes are always fresh and unique. She’s my favorite high end and my favorite indie brand is adept cosmetics. Love your videos and happy to see Andrew. 😘❤️😘❤️
didnt buy anything from this last collection. to be honest i got one liquid eyeshadow from Lisa Eldrige and i really dont like it there was alot of fallout and way too much glitter in it. how is the glitter situation on the cheeks when you put on the glitter eyeshadow? that pink matte color looks so similar to the one in the mothership X these may not be the exact same but once on your eye theres no difference 😩 how is the glitter in the liquid eye shadow fallout?
I had NO fall out with these! And they last all day long, however they dry down super fast!! If you don’t like the glitter in Lisa Eldridge.. you won’t like these either!
The packaging is such a disappointment. I'd love to see how you depot them. I like depotting, but some are harder than others. I prefer when palettes allow you to pop the pans out and rearrange or put in your own palette.
I’m still trying to decide if I want to depot or not.. just because of the review aspect I would want to have the packaging.. however I know I would use it so much more if I had it in a smaller, simpler packaging.
I feel like Pat Mcgrath as a brand is having an identity crisis. Lisa Eldridge seems more luxurious for the price. I love the color story of iconic infatuation but I already have those shades.
Because I had a lot of requests to review this release. Just because I don’t like the packaging does not mean it’s a negative review.. not sure how you came to that conclusion since I gave the palette a great review.
Hi Tania, as you I hate the packaging ... if you depot the palette, let us know how it goes and if the pans fit in a MAC empty palette for example 😉 thank you for your early review and honest thoughts 🙏🏻
Yeah sure all reviews of products are supposed to be all positive??? That's the point of reviewing, to show the positives and negatives. Tania was extremely honest in this review. And saying "You can do better" is not a nice comment!
Huh? General consensus about Pats cardboard packaging...it's very well hated. At around 10:00 she really gushes about the shadows. 🤨 The plastic for the full Mothership is supreme yes, but i'd rather have GOOD shadows than good packaging and BAD product.
