Hey Wayne, hope you are doing good... Well I am here to tell you that I was never a huge fan of makeup but growing up I realized that there was nothing wrong to use makeup, it should be personal choice and I guess I found this area(makeup application) interesting. I know there are thousands of makeup teachers out on this platform but for me there is no better teacher than you in this field.... Thank you so much to teach me from how to hold a brush... to hide the open pores like no other... to how to long last the makeup... to go for no makeup look at its best...... Thanks again Wayne.. Hi Irene, hope you find yourself in a better state now... Is your medication allowing you to use plant based dye? Henna is widely used for temporary eyebrow "tattoo" and hair coloring. Wishing your swift recovery for healthier body and mind..

I'm glad you like the palette :). I returned mine bc I was so disappointed in the colour choice (bronze and gold in 1/3 of the palette) and the relative lack of quality/wow factor of the shimmer/duochrome. Given, I have some indie brands, but even colourpop regular and supershock shadows outdid the boring shimmery pink and the just sad duochrome, duped that one easily bc it barely shifts. I would buy that plum shade in a single tho. Overall it was a mess of expectations and being angry over what I think is false advertising bc the website made it look glittery and gorgeous when really its...pretty but only fine. It made me rethink my Pat McGrath summer sale cart bc if all of her pictures look that good for something lackluster, it might be that her other palettes suffer from the same overhype/false advertising. Not to be shady, if you liked it then wonderful :). But here comes the light unintended shade: I am starting to suspect that Pat McGrath is Colourpop for snobs 😂😂😅 (plum matte excluded but I might try to dupe it with colourpop just for my satisfaction).

Hi Wayne - I actually really like cardboard packaging because I find it travels well. Its lightweight and doesn’t weigh down your luggage (more weight leftover for shoes!). And I can throw one into my soft weekend bag and not worry about it breaking. 🙂

I tried to follow sunscreen advice as far as I could. I heard that mineral is preferable for skin of colour, went around with a deadly white cast on my face for a couple of weeks this summer. I found that no sunscreen used in sufficient amount gave me a reasonable result. I apply half dose mineral sunscreen, then half dose of tinted mineral sunscreen mixed with foundation with sunscreen, then refresh with powder during the day - all that hoping that it’s enough protection. All products are spf50+.

No Wayne... No loss! Most people don't rely on one product for SPF protection. I layer SPF and try to buy products with mineral SPF even if they are only 15+ because I layer a sunscreen, primer and foundation with sun protection (Aussie life).

The McGrath rose colours look lovely and at least it's affordable, though agree the packaging is really disappointing. I wish sometimes you would apply the shadows as 'looks' on your eyes or a models so we can see how easy it is to work with them, etc.

I'd love help with that too. Mine are so sparse and any attempts I make look like I've drawn eyebrows over and past my own. It always looks so bad I cover them with my hair. I'd love some advice and I trust Wayne's above anyone else.

I know her bigger palette, Divine Rose 8, has a special shade that says it’s not meant for the eyes bc of the pigments in it. This palette, Rose Decadence, is safe for the eyes. However, knowing Pat’s palettes, they hold a lot of pigment so you don’t need to douse your brushes over and over to get color payoff. A little goes along way

I think though that having her la vie en rose palette is enough with her big mothership 1 ! I think this palette is too too pink and super loud. In a way juvias place the pinks palette imitates it too in how bright and loud and if i were to pick one i'd get the more affordable option since I have the Pat mcgrath formula in those tones or at least similar to them already

I wonder if she changed peach dusk from the time she released and now. This is the 2nd review I’ve seen people say the peach dusk was a satin. But, always thought mine was a matte (I just bought it a few weeks ago). So, went to the site and it says peach dusk is a matte 😫

Janett Rodriguez Barajas YES, and it’s so pathetic too!!! It was started by a gender reveal party that decided to use pyrotechnics. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤬 Sometimes I’m at a loss for words by selfish stupidity. Fireworks are illegal in El Dorado County for this EXACT reason. (I also happened to grow up in El Dorado County, so I’ve just always been hyper-aware of fire hazards. I hate street fireworks, they scare me. I get upset with family members who love the illegal shit, too. On the other hand, I LOVE big firework shows, one of my favorite things. But those are in controlled environments by professionals.)

I agree in terms of swatching , not up to par with her 10 pan formula, however once applied on the lids they work beautifully ,but for the price point they should be just as luxe. It’s somewhat disappointing.

I'm over 60 and don't feel comfortable wearing shimmering eyeshadow. What are your thoughts, Wayne and everyone?

I'm 57 and I love shimmer and metallic eye shadows. I know I'm not 20 anymore but unless the shadow emphasizes crepiness or wrinkles I will wear it. I love all the new colours and textures. I get some people just like mattes but don't be scared of shimmer just because of age. You can always put down a matte first and dab a little shimmer on top, especially the lid and corner of the eye and blend a bit in on the top outer half of the eye just below the eyebrow. Good luck.
