That was a hoot!! Granted no one could ever convincingly mimic Pat Novak’s dialogue or the incomparable dynamic with Hellman and Novak. But I don’t think this was supposed to be a “lost episode”. Richard Diamond’s appearance was brilliant!! It was like hearing old friends goofing off together. It was like hearing Sam Spade, Phillip Marlow, Michael Shayne razzing Mr Malone for being “amazing”.

Yes. You're exactly right. We knew we could never create something better than the originals, so we decided to do something that was unique and take a different approach with the mashups and special cameos. Thank you for your feedback.

This rather impressed me. Pat Novaks dialogue felt very accurate ( Though a couple of lines are taken from Phil Marlowe ), and the Johnny Dollar voice and cadence are close to a perfect recreation of Bob Bailey. Better still, the story works too. It's not perfect, yet it shows a hell of a lot of potential.

As a fan of both crossovers and OTR shows, I must say that this little show might be the start of a brand new fad. All you need is the programming, a collection of OTR shows on file, and a lot of patience. Not to mention the legal grey-area that it falls under, what with all the actors been dead for decades. BTW, don't think I didn't catch Jack Benny's cameo.

Oh, how much pleasure this gives me! Not only was the nostalgia hit marvelous, but I really liked that the actors imitated the voices of the original actors. And when I anticipated and wondered if certain situations and special characters would be incorporated, you didn't let me down. Thanks for a half-hour of smiles and laughter. I wish you so much success with NewTimeRadio, and hope it will continue and grow and be marvelously successful. Thank you! Now scooting over to the website to see what else is up... 😊

Im not a fan of private eye radio dramas - with the exception of 'Patsy' and Johnny. The former because it spoofs the genre; the latter because of the serial format. So, good choices! Fun show!

It’s a great idea, but the way the technology is working at this point, both of them are suddenly terrible actors who just read dryly. I started listening to this, assuming that it was an old-time episode I never heard, and I like the idea, and the blending of the music, but as soon as they started to have a conversation with each other, they both sounded like two people who weren’t in the room with another human being, just reading words off a page. That’s when I read the description, and realize that artificial intelligence is involved. my wife and I are big JOHNNY DOLLAR fans, and we were really surprised to hear him acting so poorly. Does the AI just receive the text, or is this blended with a person reading the lines? If that’s the case, then the next step would be to hire a competent actor or two to give the lines, genuine expression, and the sense that they are each actually talking to another human being, with expression and intention. Just a suggestion.

You've received some really good feedback, but I'd like to add: keep working on the writing. Everything stilted stems from the script. I'm relieved that the AI is not seamless, since art does need the human experience. This as a hobby is a pleasant effort, though, thank you.

It wasn't clear at the outset that this was a recreation but it very clearly could not have been for real once I got into it. All three voices actually Hellman, too, were off. They sort of sounded like the original actors but not quite. Then there was the problem that each voice was set against a different audio background. It was as if they were phoning in from multiple studios. And so on. Before long I was wondering if this was both written and performed by an AI. If so this was a cheap trick. You should admit such things. The story was kind of lame but it did follow the kind of plotting that was done back then. But all the acting was kind of flat, non-professional.
