For sure!! Would that have been weird since Vanna came out right after? I also guess Maggie isn't in the studio there either, which would've also been nice. Oh well. Pat did a wonderful job here.
I bet ya he probably told them “don’t make it a big thing, no balloons or confetti” he’s always been a very low-key kind of person, not one for pomp and circumstance
Definitely not Pat's style. Confetti's for the players. Pat and Vanna are both more like gameshow parents...and they treat the contestants like extra kids...even when they bring their kids to work...and they help out.
My grandma and her friend, now both gone, were loyal fans of Wheel of Fortune. One would always call the other (sometimes they'd get the busy signal because they were dialing each other at the same time lol) right after Wheel of Fortune aired every weeknight. In fact, when my grandma passed away, my mom called her friend to let her know that she had passed. Her response to my mom was, "I'll miss talking to my friend after Wheel of Fortune." So Pat Sajak was a part of those two's lives, as well as millions of others. Congratulations to Pat on his retirement!
Pat, you've made me grow up watching this show since the 2000s, when big money was being awarded to contestants and even playing along with the game from the comfort of our homes. I always love watching this show right after Jeopardy, whether it's just me, or even with my grandparents, who loved watching you a lot during dinner time when this show airs. We will all miss your humor and hope you enjoy your retirement!!!!
I loved watching Pat Sajak host Wheel of Fortune since I was a kid. He, Bob Barker, Regis Philbin, and Alex Trebek were my favorite hosts growing up. Thank you for all the memories, Pat and we will never forget you. ❤
I really enjoyed Pat, on Wheel of Fortune. For all the right reasons, jokes, kindness, made everyone laugh, smile and kindness ♥️. You will be missed. Had fun trying to guess the puzzle too👍
Pat Sajak, you r my number 1 favorite host I watched since 2000s and I adored you and Vanna every time I watch wheel of fortune, it’s gonna be sad without you, thank you for 41 wonderful years of Wheel Of Fortune, you will always be my favorite along with Vanna
Pat Sajak and Vanna White were best of friends and I grew up with both of them because they were very close in their lives but unfortunately they will be forever friends 🧡
I would compare the voices of both Sajak and Trebek to a comfortable blanket with a hot cup of cocoa on the coldest of nights. Will miss their presence providing comfort.
I know if i was home to watch this live tears would off been flowing. Wowww. All the best to you Pat Sajak but we still have half if you Vanna is still around untill such time❤❤
At 8:20 my wife yelled from the other room "oh no!!! We missed it!! Pat's last show. Thank you Johnathan for having the wherewithal to record his goodbye and post it. We will miss Pat, hope they don't screw it up like they did Jeopardy
I'm sure the show will chug along, Ryan will do just fine. His last game show he hosted for murv griffin was Click in 1997. there may be some music changes maybe another remix of changing keys or something different. I won't be surprised if the audience was canned as well for season 1. Let's see what happens. As for Sajack, I along with many others give him all the best in his retirement.
@@trevortuominen8233 not Davies....Mike Richards before him. Mike Richards did the whole slew of guest hosts and then voted himself for daily syndication and selected Mayim as the tournament host. Mayim wasn't the problem, but the fans had already wanted Ken Jennings since "he's the GOAT" and is the question of "Who is Jeopardy's Pat Sajak?" and they wanted Mayim to be equivalent to Vanna, but it just didn't work out. Bellamie Blackstone clearly had a better plan for this one by not doing the guest host mess and just taking two possible options. Either one will do.
Class from the 1st show to the last. Good luck Pat, May you enjoy many years of retirement. You've brought many laughs and smiles to millions every night and we thank you.
Pat played for charity on April 1st, 1997....and wiped the floor with Vanna. Unfortunately Vanna's not always so good at the puzzle solving because that wheel can be rather difficult...even with it's nice puzzle board controller at it. If Pat plays again....he would still do so in that manner.
He’s been in my life for the last 23 years remember watching him with my grandma making so many memories I’m definitely gonna miss him fs God bless him and his family
Thank You Pat for inviting wheel of fortune into my livingroom over the years and from the bottom of my heart ♥ I will miss you being on wheel of fortune and I will continue to keep in touch with you god bless you Pat and thank you for the memories and thank you for inviting your daughter Maggie into my livingroom and on behalf of my family and friend's we all will miss you being on wheel of fortune ❤
After 40+ years as host, Pat Sajak bids farewell to Wheel of Fortune for good and hands over his permanent hosting job to none other than American Idol host Ryan Seacrest starting next season.

No Barker, no Trebek, and now no Sajak. Game show industry is losing The last of its real old guard. Interesting to see what the next couple years will do.

I just wish that the awards shows could stop bringing politics into there shows because people want to get away from politics for awhile. So stop putting down trump and the Republicans
