Do you consider Saban a southerner? West Virginia is definitely not the deep south. He played college football and began coaching in Ohio. Btw I'm from the north, but I also like southern culture and football. So I respect your original comment.

@someguy6212 No, Saban was never a southerner. He never embraced our ways, culture, and life. He consistently pushed his northern beliefs on us. I'm glad he's gone. I'm a georgia bulldogs fan, and our head coach is kirby smart. Began coaching at LSU, then the Dolphins, spent a few years at Bama, then now coaches georgia. His entire career has been in the deep south. He's a southerner.
