Patagonia Refugio Backpack Review (2 Weeks of Use) 

My wife used this as carry-on and day bag for a trip to Germany, awesome pack. My son used it all year for a book bag for middle school. They couldn't use lockers so he had this thing full all year. Besides a few scuffs, it still looks great. Very impressed with this bag.

This and the written review were really useful! I especially liked the visual comparison of the bag on 2 different people.

You did an excellent job of pointing out how the water bottles stick out and the first inner pocket becomes hard to access at the bottom.

Have heard lots of things about this bag and so far the reviews are positive been obsessed with backpacks lately and this one is dope

The bottle holders are pretty wide, i was amazed to see that my contigo thermos (1.2L) fits without even pushing. However I didn't like how little organization it has compared to other bags I've had in the past

I have an older version of the Refugio and I love it.

Great Review 👍But honestly, this backpanel looks like a big sweaty joke - I just started to sweat immediately just 'cause of looking at it 😖😆 I have a very similar back panel at a cheap military-style backpack and this Patagonia cost more than 3x the price 🤦‍♀

Did you prefer this one over the North Face Surge? I’m only 5’3” and have the issues with the back section.

I have the 28l version. No complaints so far.
