If no one has excavated that part of South America before due to its remoteness, then that area would be a good place to look for ancient tombs or graveyard that may contain giant remains. Just make sure to keep any discovery of significance a secret from The Smithsonian.

Detailed logs , would have to be kept by early European explorers , as a matter of course , and would have been a requirement , of a crew member . Captain Cooks voyages , are highly detailed, as earlier explorers , knowledge , would have been vis spoken word , as most early explorers , didn't go very far from sight of land .

Its a shame the accounts were not really detailed and specific, as described here. For example, the Patagonian women were "of considerable size" 😏. At that time, maybe 5ft 9" tall was enough to fit the description? You'd think at least one of the explorers would bave been curious to do an actual measurement

@@judyfoster5732 I did. Is it possible that say 6' 6" tall would qualify as "giant", to the visitors? But yes, the running speed description - extraordinary! Assuming true, that's surely not just ordinary people who are tall and athletic. So... where did they go, I wonder. I've seen accounts of North American tribespeople encountering very tall, powerful, ferocious people, and over time, fought and killed the last of them. Also accounts of American soldiers in Afghanistan encountering similar sounding people - with deaths on both sides. Fascinating!

I do belive the patigoinian Giants wer once a REAL tribe. These Giants wer most likely Gentle beings that once lives on planet earth. Until they probably went extinct at one point. What makes this theory scary in my opinion is the fact that we have found GIANT human-like bones around the years of humanity. And across the globe. I was recently on a tour at a park in the southernmost part of Patagonia. The indigenous people there (not giants) used to live by the (very cold) water, and would be pretty much naked most of the year. Christian Europeans civilized them and made them start wearing clothes. Turns out wearing clothes wasn't good for them because they could dry off easier by swimming naked to catch fish etc. and ended up dying off from colds and other illnesses after being "civilized".

Most Europeans were relatively short, especially compared to many of us today... exactly how 'giant' were these people? 6-6'1/2" tall could easily be considered giant to those barely 5' 1/2" tall... I'd like some sort of measurements, e.g. how high did the European heads come up to on the 'giants' body? Shoulders? Nipples? Belly button? Hips? Knees? Ankles (lol)? More detail is wanting.

Maybe your story should have been about why European men of the time were so short. The average height of European men in the 16th century was 5'5", so a modern basket ball team would be giants. It was a nice video but the only person to person reference to the height differential was "head and shoulders above" -- that's pretty much a modern basket ball player.

It's because Magellan suspected - correctly - that it was possible to somehow bypass this unexpected obstacle. And he was right. He found a way to get past South America and keep on going. Today we call it the "Strait of Magellan".

It’s hard to believe that European colonizer was going to get the giant by his own will and get it with them to a island 😂, sounds more like they colonizers took him by force captured him and took him to his captain to lead them to his tribe where they kill everyone , that’s the real story
