The reason why the scoreboard scrapper feels so bad this set is because of charms. This set you need to have a bank of hp to not die against a low roll on charms against a high roll of your opponent. You cannot win as consistently on 3hp anymore.

About the Vanguard nerf: Also worth keeping in mind that Vanguards get tankier while the Shield is active, so it is actually a bigger part of their tankiness than it seems. Each Vanguard got 70% HP shield (in two steps) that was really 77%, now it is 60% that is really 66%. It's losing 6-7% of total tankiness on those 4 units - which is basically your entire frontline.

What tft devs are doing to tanks I don't like it, they just making them meat shild more and more, coolest tank for me was brom set 6his ult can change the fight out come, set 7 hecraim cc was good, I don't remember the set but sejuani have good cc as a 4 cost tank, set 5 volibear, and if u want Meatshield atleast made a tank like swain set 7.5

The problem with this is, if there is just one unit as unkillable as Braum or provides such a Mass CC as Sejuani did, everyone chases them and you kinda shoehorn players into specific comps just by unit design. If you then create multiple such units you allow diversity but a) they aren’t unique anymore and b) in case of CC become problematic in different ways, or would you find it fun when your entire board is on permanent lockdown? I agree that these units are fun, but that doesn’t mean it’s good/healthy game design.

Set6 braum was overcentralizing. he casted ult with no synergies, you’d play him in every comp unless you needed synergies. There was also not a huge reason to itemize him cuz getting 1 ult for no items was significantly more worth than getting 2-3 ults but requiring 3 items

You’re not wrong, this set there are no interesting tanks. Maybe vex and wukong lean into the meat shield vibe even more than the rest and it’s almost fun to build one super unkillable unit but the rest are so boring

there was a point in time where you nearly HAD to use qss on your carry or they were useless(set 6 and 6.5) set 6: yone - melee carry (BIS was qss, hurricane, last whisper) jhin - ad caster (BIS was qss, ie, lw) unless your carry was tanky(urgot), has invulnerability(fiora), dashes every 2 seconds with shojin(kai'sa) blitz + sion + braum made for such a tanky frontline that had cc and then 6.5 introduced alistar like how last set, 4 reaper yone despite being one of the most popular comps, yone BIS was not qss
