Recently Raze had her movement nerfed (patch 8.11), so her satchels are now less effective.
In this video I tested a whole bunch of double satchels and triple boosts on all currently active maps in the map pool, to see how many Raze jumps are still possible.

Thats why I hate how they just nerf everyone recently. They just change some numbers and shit, no creative nerfs or reworks and that numbers reduction ultimately just makes the agents feel somewhat "off" to play.

@@ElliorTim i mean yeah it was pretty wacky at times. you can still do most of the crazy stuff, you are just slower now so you have to plan your satchels better instead of sending it down with your satchels and a bucky and winning because you are flying too fast to track

Such a weird change. The real concern I have isn't not being able to do double satchels that aren't even useful in normal games, it's satchel peeks being useless and really easy single satchel jumps suddenly becoming an issue.

Yea in pro play no one really double satchels, most just use it for stall or like a mini dash. I guess it makes it harder to escape sticky situations with this.

I think most raze players will need to tweak their spots for blast pack to compensate a bit to take advantage more of the height that blast pack gives to get to the same spots consistently.

I'd say, for jumps like the 1st one you did, the nerf mainly makes it easier to expect a Raze's Paint Bloom Surprise - Sky/e Edition as the nerf mostly forces someone to only be able to show up in certain spots of an area. This would be further backed up by the fact that they heightened the Satchel Audio Range (if I saw correctly)

Wait, can you do another video, or a spreadsheet or whatever where you compare the TIMES in seconds of each of the jumps that were possible? You said it felt slower, and that's definitely significant during combat, and a time to complete comparisons might give us a sense in how much more frequently razes are gonna get shot out of the air.

I think this update just justifies Raze, She's still a great agent, it just makes countering her a bit easy as she'll not be as fast with her satchels as she was. I hate neon's buffs though, she has almost no util now, since just one stun. Great video anyway, subbed!

To the super boost, yeah you still can do it. But idk if it only happened to me but i needed to change the delay between shooting and exploding the satchel from 70ms to 100ms. Maybe it's only for me idk.

Honestly, they probably could've limited the horizontal speed and simultaneously increase the vertical height so that these jumps are still possible, but slower horizontally. They could even change razes gravity strength while affected by the satchel so that raze is slower, but the jumps are otherwise unchanged.

judge raze got nerf as well because of the movt. nerf. They might have capped the max aerial movt. speed or made the sweet spots more tighter as earlier hitting the sweet sports on stachel used to give insane horizontal movement unlike any other agent in game.

It is largely the same, but there are some situations where you have to change the timing on the second satchel, because the first satchel didn’t take you as far as it used to. I’ll think about making a video on it!

So, it is still possible to make the old movement satchels, however, it needs a better adjustment. Which makes the raze players can still figure them out. They're fcken unstoppable.

Great video, thanks. Was wondering why you weren't getting thousands of views, and it might be because of RU-vid and its dislike towards swearing. Apparently higher usage of what RU-vid deems as "unsafe" language will result in less reach, and therefore harder for the algorithm to pick up. And since many valorant players are children, this is especially so. I think some youtubers get around this buy not swearing in the first few minutes, then let loose after a while. Dunno, dont quote me on that though

i'm not a raze main but I consider satchels to be the only ability in valorant that actually takes practice & time to learn, and is difficult to master. nerfing it is quite a cheap move. I guess they're just always trying to equalize the pick rate of all agents but I hope at some point they just stop releasing new agents so they don't have to keep ruining the existing ones.
