PATCH A BEFORE VS AFTER | Life is Strange Before the Storm Remastered 

I'm very very confused why they changed the book Rachel was reading. The book being "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" is an important detail. Near the beginning of LIS: BTS, Samantha is reading that book and you can talk to her a little bit about it. Chloe says that she read that book and enjoyed it, and Samantha is surprised Chloe did a homework assignment. That being the same book Rachel is reading is supposed to be a callback. It implies (in my opinion) that Chloe recommended the book to Rachel and Rachel cares enough about Chloe's interests to check them out herself. Unless that red book is just a different cover of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, then they took out a really neat detail for nothing :(

Not them forgetting Joyce's hair clip in the new patch at 0:43. The hair is even squished together for the clip to be there, but it wasnt added at all. Guess not all patches are a good thing

So they made Chloe's and Victoria's hair look like how it is in LIS1 and changed the clothes that Chloe is wearing. Even changed the book that Rachel reads.

sometimes after patch a looks better but some updated details in after makes before look way better

For the most part it definitely looks better now, but some scenes i much preferred pre patch.

I don't understand some of the changes. why didn't they focus on bugs? Why completely change Victoria (I liked her more before the patch, she was similar to the og BTS), change Rachel's shirts (I really hate that) and change the book at the end? And they've managed to make that now Chloe doesn't have blue hair in some of the scenes in the ending that were fine before the patch... I can't believe it.

i still haven’t played this but somebody said Remastered Rachel looks a lot like the picture in her missing poster in LiS1 and it broke my heart a little because it’s true.

Most of these are *massive* improvements (especially in lighting), but some are downgrades like 0:29 looking like a screenshot from Roblox and 1:01 loosing some definition. Glad to see them listening to critiques, I just hope this trend of releasing unfinished projects doesn’t continue

Why did the change the book cover. Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf is one of the best books I've ever read and it fits with Rachel's character.

They messed up Joyce’s face completely and changed Victoria’s hair for no reason. Why can’t they fix what needs to be fixed without messing it up further? I got the remasters for free with the True Colors Ultimate Edition and I STILL feel conned. Not playing these until a year later so they’d better get it together.

everything but chloe’s hair looks better. there were parts that weren’t, for sure, but there were parts that look GREAT, the hands for example. chloe’s hair is definitely not that pink at the top and it’s wayyyyy too bright and shiny. just doesn’t match how the game looks tbh. but if they just fix that one thing then i think it’s an improvement personally.

my first time watching, i got excited and happy for the remaster. After rewatching it and noticing some key details missing, along with the fact that they look more choppy imo, they could’ve done without the remaster

looks like they changed how their hands look as well. after the patch their hands look slimmer, you can notice the change at 1:56 and 1:57

I wonder if they lost some of the source files, it wouldn't make sense to make the textures from scratch.

First LIS and LIS BTS: Watercolors, soft colors Remasters: Screw watercolor, lets put on some contrast and unnecessarly change textures that are already good and turn it bad.

for me the scene in ep3 with the star lamp is totally glitched lighting wise and rachel is literally just glowing white

The worst about the remastered version are those overexposed lighted scenes, some which are hardly playable.. I played BFS last weekend with my BFF and wanted her to have the same experience I did on her PS5.. Unfortunately I asked for too much. Guess I should've waited longer for the newer update to come... The Farewell episode had Chloe stand in her garden, but you couldn't even see her from the gloom that was blowing up in oversaturated grass.

back on my highschool time, i ever had a classmate who exactly like Rachel. Popular, Beatiful, Smart, Easygoing in bad and good side, everyone in school know her. and she also lost her mom. but gladly she still safe and sound. hope Rachel also safe. i refuse to believe she is died.

I'm glad this was a glitch, I was confused why the old cutscenes were playing at these parts. It was especially jarring with the Farewell cutscene as it looked very blurry.

This is the most soulful game! I almost cried.

Just bought myself a Ps4 and I have this game sitting here waiting for it's delivery.

I'm not sure some changes are for the best. Victoria became more beautiful, but Joyce became too dolled up and young looking.

Glad I didn't get the remasters. As fan of the originals it hurts me to see how they butchered the characters. Victoria looks so bad now and less realistic.

honestly it looked better before. Idk it's really weird. The after patch looks more like before the patch...this was waste of time. They could use this time for better thing about LIS. For example some DLC

i feel like the hair change takes away some of the art style for some parts- it looked like their hair was more painted in like water color it's a shading art texture type thing but now it kinda looks like the sims, i understand they were trying to make the hair look more realistic but now a lot of their hair just looks... less fuzzy? like the photo here 0:29 where it looks like they got rid of the shadowing and added such bright hair that it kind of almost blends into the background, even though she has shading on the rest of her face, like, the hair just didn't get the memo of being in a different position- For some characters it does look good but it's not rlly applied well i feel- You can also see the shading thing with other characters too- 0:55 i like the way they did the hand shading though- the changes to the scenery paused at 1:08 is like a different paintings being compared, one with more dark expression and the other bright- which is cool but i feel like the thunderstorm background sky fit better for the scene- i don't know what i think what does everyone else think if they read this oi-

this "remaster" changed a literal symbolism in Rachel's book bruh

after patch my chloe's hair from the clothes of life is strange 1 look awful and buggy, it looks like the textures are wrong and i didnt found a fix, i just have to wait until the game let me change clothes

Ok, this looks better and i'm glad they fixed some things and made it better, but i would prefer to see alongside these improvments i would like to see also the gliches and bugs being solved. I'm not saying that they have to focus only on those and leave all the rest, no not at all, just focus on both things and made like a patch that it's more like a mix of the two things. This is just my idea, maybe it will come later after patch B.

Just watched my partner run into a bug /glitch on ep 3 when he went to talk to chloe after getting the rv keys there was no option to talk to her.

Well ... I just finished this game and this entire cinematic played back like it was sourced from a mouldy stretched and chewed VHS tape that had been buried in landfill for for decades.

It's not bad But it could be hella better for me I still prefer the original

Urgh they changed vics hair to even worse quality. Git rid of Joyces hairclib in the proposal scene. Got rid of Chloe's blue hair streak in the proposal scene. Didn't let Rachel talk in the ending montage...
