Erica Synths DUAL VCF is fed the Pico Voice and Pico VCO for melodies and bass. I'll show you how I patch it all and we'll have some fun along the way.

This is everything a patch video should be. Very intuitive with so many nuggets. This and Lightbath’s “the joy of patching” is worth rewatching a few times.

I like the video focusing more on patching techniques than the individual modules. Gave me some good ideas on how to use pam and steppy in ways I haven't.

This patch from scratch was a great idea. It's ironic that this videos has fewer views than a lot of others. Not only did this help me wrap my mind around interactions of modules I'd not fully understood before, but we got a great jam out of it too. Since I'm in the research stage of modular, there are a couple things this video has that makes it more helpful than others. First the overhead and close up made it easier for me to see what was happening. Second you verbally walked us through the purpose of each move. Instead of some rather annoying noise to demonstrate what modules can do, it was all shown in a very musical way. You showed how you set things up with an eye towards performance. I legitimately got lost in your jam same as you did. I learned more from this video than I was expecting. I like a good walk-through of a particular piece of equipment. But the walk-through of the patching and performance was even better and anyone who hasn't watched this one is missing out.

OMG! I haven't seen your channel for a while. You really went down that Modular rabbit hole. You make it look so easy, but the Moog Grandmother is hard enough for me to figure out. I'm more a keyboard & guitar player, than a computer artist. Excellent work. So happy for you. You really have come a long way. Love the transition and happy for the explanations, though they go over my head a lot. But just like learning magnetism, I am slowly understanding this.

I've been looking at dual filters recently and I noticed the Erica Dual Filter, which I see you're using. It looks great, but quite big (space wise). I'd been looking at the Soundforce Dual Filter, which is smaller but cheaper, however, I bumped into the Erica somewhere and I have just enough space to fit one in, hence my interest. So, since I see the video's made a year back maybe you can give me some thoughts on the Erica filter if you have some, and - I see you've also got a Popple stereo filter in there too - how you balance the two filters in (what looks like) such a small space? Thanks in advance, and thanks for your great videos, I always enjoy watching them.

This is really great. I’m struggling with my setup - I wish I understood it better. Specifically I have Plaits feeding into Rings (for bassy goodness) but the signals are fighting each other. I have it all patched into Erica Synths DualFX. sorry this is off topic. I’m not sure where else to post.

Software is also a great way to get familiarized with all the modular stuff, VCV rack is a great option.

Yeah sadly its incredibly noisy. It sounds great but it's almost unusable from a noise perspective.

I noticed that you have to put blind panels next to skinny modules. This seems to defeat the purpose of making a low hp version of a module, lol. Still, that looks much easier to play.

@@RedMeansRecording I know exactly what you mean, that's why all my 2hp modules have migrated to the edge of the case or next to a module with a little blank space on the neighboring side, where i don't need tweezers to move the knob.

Stages works great as a step sequencer for parameters in the BIA. I also like it as a couple envelopes when I run out of my main ones. It's just a overall fun and useful module.
