I really hope the packs sold to get into beta are reasonably cheap. Not 100$+ like some of their high priced packs.

Yes I agree, another way to get into the beta is to have X amount of dollars spent Overall. Not sure total spent amount, but some say its around $500 total spent lifetime.

@@imsidvicious I only paid for stash tabs since i didnt see the need to look fancy in a game where the skill effects cover your whole screen. I think in total i paid about 50-60$. But i'm willing to pay for beta access if the prices are reasonable.

Same I spent about $60-80ish between point packs and supporter bundles. the bundles are definitely the best bang for the buck now getting the full worth of the $ to points plus the addition of skins.@@-SashaAlex- in a game where certain builds can drop your fps into the single digits range I don't really see the value in adding optional skin effects to the mix.

Being that the buy in price has already been clearly stated, it doesn't really seem that it's a "if" case anymore and more of a "is" case." Is" the supporter packs too much for you? "Is" the sum total of $500 over the life of a player's account too much for you? If it is, then we'll see you on release. If not, then enjoy the beta.

You got a lot of facts wrong. For example, Jonathan never said that magic find will scale 1000 times. He said wealth acquisition will scale 1000 times. He said that 1000 times will be 10x clearspeed, 2x quantity, and 50x magic find.

so I think you are referring to my video at 11:15. Where I say "PoE 2 they are reworking the formula which is to make item rarity be able to improve by a 1000 times without relying on quantity which is very difficult to do" this was directly talked about in the Ziggy D interview, if you go to the interview video the timestamp is at 36:20 Im not talking about scaling at all. But I will work my wording to sound more coherent.

I'm afraid poe2 is trying to be too realistic with the mechanics and weaponry. I like all the magic and fantasy motives and stuff in the poe1. This kind of things let you better relax and forget the everyday matters. If a game feels real, there's no reason to play it. One can just go outside.

Yea I understand where you are coming from, I think thats why they are going with two different games. So we can choose PoE 1 or PoE 2. Im sure once we get to see the beta, we will figure out how to make PoE 2 feel relaxing as well haha.

PoE2 looks to be about on par with PoE1 in terms of the fantasy, from what we've seen They're definitely trying to make it feel even more like a real place, but one can make a world that feels real without it being "realistic"

After nearly 3K hours since closed beta I quit PoE two years ago or so since I didn't enjoy the direction they were taking the game. With all the news about PoE 2 it seems I'm not returning any time soon. Their insistence of hanging onto legacy game mechanics that everyone else has dropped because they just are not fun tells that even though they are open to innovating their stubbornness still wins over common sense.

@@Strill_Well like stated in the video they will be doing nothing about respecing. They are also holding onto the portal and identify scrolls as well as the tiny inventory (that is even tinier because of the scrolls). I'm also pretty sure they will still not be implementing auto pickup in the west. These are all things that other ARPG's have done away with because they either add nothing interesting to the game or are active detriments. I guess they are still not going to implement an auction house either and just keep the horrible trading system they have now that requires third party tools to be even somewhat tolerable. Also this is a more subjective gripe but one of the best things about PoE to me was its speed and they seem to actively do anything they can to slow the game down without changing other aspects of it.

​​@@DraugoAuction houses make trading much worse for the average player. You end up in either an inflationary market, where currency is worthless, and the average player can't afford to buy anything, or a deflationary market, where items are worthless, and you basically don't need to play the game anymore because you can just buy your endgame set in one go. Without an auction house, the extra friction on trading lowers the quantity of items and currency in circulation, keeping them both valuable, and encouraging players to actually play the game and get drops. This applies especially to low value items that high level players can't be bothered to sell. The difficulty trading them means the market is not flooded with them, and the average player can make a little money selling them.

​​@@DraugoI don't see how having two inventory slots for scrolls makes a difference in inventory size, but if it makes you feel better, you can talk to an npc to identify all your items for free. Also, the need for picking up so many items is also reduced, because they're focusing on quality of drops over quantity. That alleviates inventory space problems. I don't know of any other major arpg with autoloot though. Last Epoch doesn't have it, nor does grim dawn nor diablo.

​@@DraugoAs far as speed goes, they're trying to make the game discernable so you don't just randomly die for no comprehensible reason. Do you seriously like that the game is so fast that it's just nothing but one-shots kills?
