I don't really mind fighting in the closed rooms, but, once in the arena, I usually wouldn't even want to leave without clearing the area, just because of the ambience. Also, I'm super excited to get to this area because I've just started a duelist character as preparation for the new league. He is just past the point he thinks he can even give the great Daresso a run for his money. IMO, for the duelist, this is sort of the peak of the story.
This is undoubtedly one of the best soundtracks from Path of Exile. Very memorable and heroic, even though with strong irony. An exile, basically a left-for-dead guy, comes and fights through all kinds of things, defeats gods on the way, and finally enters the arena like a fighting slave, a gladiator. And even there, he is on a mission, helping others and getting his own revenge against the cruel overlord of Oriath, who got him banished. Perfect.
And not only because of how it feels in the context of the game, but also, how it actually is musically. The chords, the sounds, rhytms, suiting each other so well.
The best soundtrack, I've heard from any game period! Love your work! The themes are just so fitting for all the different places in Wraeclast and it makes Path of Exile so much enjoyable!
This remind me so much of "The General Who Became A Slave" OST from Gladiator. If this is a tribute or an inspiration, really well done. By far my favorite Gladiator OST, my favorite POE OST, my favorite film and my favorite game. Great job!
“[…] I care naught for riches, little for friendship. The duel is all I need. I may be an exile, but I will carve a road back to Oriath, one foe, one victory at a time. Ill fortune may have banished me to Wraeclast, but I will live to hear them scream my name in the great arenas again."
this is absolutely a huge banger, literally the point i look forward to most in the whole story. always turn off my own music and put game music to max.
This is why I downloaded the PoE soundtrack and have it in a play list, for tracks just like this. While I play the game, I am continuously changing areas, and never truly get to enjoy the music, so I just turn it off in-game, and let the music from the soundtrack play uninterrupted in my media player. I have to say, this is definitely one of my favorites, and one I will share around to fans of game music who might not be family with the PoE soundtrack. Fantastic!!

I just ended Daresso's dream area and I had to look for this. Music was so moving and inspiring, I was amazed. I just stopped playing to hear the OST. Incredible.
Hell yeah that sound music is so great... I m pretty sure if they could do a Full ACT Story just looks like old Rome and get fight in a Arena as a Gladiator style with the full public behind...and awesome sounds..with that Musik.. is the game Masterpeace
All the music in the game up until this point was fine. Nothing overly memorable or outstanding, then as I go through the arena and this music plays it was the first time in the game I really cranked the volume and went to town on those mobs. Absolutely amazing, especially 2:17
I replay this section of the game from time to time, just to listen to the music and read the story of Daresso and Merveil. This song always brings tears to my eyes.
You take a music production software like Pro Tools or Logic and buy a Sampler like Omnisphere or Kontakt that have recorded or synthesized (synthesized with a hardware called synthesizer, a machine that produces noises and can mimic instruments or voices with alot of effort) choirsingers in them. With a MIDI-Keyboard the composer can steer the melodies of the singers and that´s how you have the female choirs in the background.
