Well for one you now can't switch to a dino that's located in the same area as where you just logged off, so you can't just do that

You also can't really hide from the unless you're a good jumper or a bird. They can go in small places, jump down cliffs relatively fine and even swim well

Join a community server, dont take it too serious, start fighting. Loads of fun if you play it that way. Don't play officials solo.

In regards to the camera yes it's a recording of the aftermath. You can freely fly around in the recording a certain distance to take good pics or vids if you want to. :)

Overall it's awesome just the players (a few of them) that bring it down.

A toxic Sarco is defo one of the worst to come across, totally agree. Especially if group of them that come out at you 1,000,000mph each with big charged bite. And then they can just hide in water too. 100%agree!

People complain and whine about a game because they enjoy it. This swapping, mixpacking and revenge killing is genuinely a problem that deters fresh or even veteran players away. It's bad for marketing the game and for the community alike. If anything, their videos are bringing these problems to light that need to be addressed.

It creates a nearly impossible barrier of entry for new players. No new players = no new money for the devs = no more new content. When they say they are "ruining" the game, they mean it literally.

Another glazer spotted, this game is genuinely hot garbage and carebear dream land because the devs refuse to accept that by supporting this they’re only making everything worse. Complaining is what gets devs to improve the game if anything. No one likes official servers due to no supervision from anyone, this is where the flaws of the game shine the most and why people prefer community servers where mods are present (which are mostly better than anything official) and 5 yo admins could at least do something. Also by your logic just stop watching their videos, problem solved

Arguably you can stop watching, seems like you can't control yourself. So by that logic stop watching. Easy fix.

•For those who don't want to read the whole thing: I like Official servers, as it has higher stakes, & as a result is more immersive & exciting, than Community servers in my opinion. I acknowledge that Officials isn't for everyone, & can be outright disheartening & rage-inducingly toxic at times.• I honestly like Official servers, & at times find some Community servers to be a little boring & constricting (not all Community servers, of course) with all their rules. Yes, it's annoying to get jumped when all you're trying to do is quest, pass through, or goof off with a friend. Yes, it's rage-inducing to be repeatedly hunted by a mixpack, or a sore-loser dino-cycler. Yes, having to quest in order to grow can be tedious, especially when death means loss of growth AND marks. Yes, chat is almost always more toxic than a cyanide smoothie. However, I personally have never had more exciting experiences than on Officials. I've never had a fight so intense on Communities that, when the fight was done, my hands were shaking from pure adrenaline storming through me. I've never been more immersed while playing solo in the game than on Officials, snapping my attention to any seemingly misplaced sound. I've never been more intensely invested in making it out of a fight alive than on Officials, because I know the stakes are higher than on Communities. Sometimes a typically toxic player in chat will say some of the most off the wall things that you can't help but laugh. Sometimes you meet chill new friends in the middle of that very same super-toxic chat. I like the challenge, even though I myself suck at fighting in this game, & at all videogames in general. I've found that if I treat all fights as a learning experience, I don't get as upset if/when I lose. I've even found that if you thank them for the learning experience gained in the fight (even if you're actually FUMING with rage) before the typical "ez this dino at this place/ L this dino here" messages pop up, it has a tendency to stop them before they can start, or change the tone of their replies if they've already started to something maybe a touch more supportive in your efforts to survive. I understand not all people think like me, or do but have had worse experiences than me on Officials. I understand that some people simply prefer Communities for whatever reason they may have. That's all fine, I just think people tend to forget the good. You can't have good without the bad.

@@famfifa_22 The Isle is a so much better than POT, especially if you are looking for realism. There are lots of mechanics in the game that make it feel immersive. The people that probably bash the game are people that just want to run around and kill PVP style. I played 160 hours of POT before I picked up The Isle, I immediately deleted POT and haven't looked back
