This ended up taking a really long time... It's also been a while since I did any editing so I have been de-rusting with this video. Overall, I'm quite content with how it turned out. I really hope it helps someone out there, and please do let me know if there is a specific sinner you would like to see featured. Or if you have any other types of content you would love to see, let me know, it might just catch my interest.
As I mentioned, I'm also currently working on an animation cancelling guide, so I'll most likely be posting that soon as well.

Nice guide! Look forward to seeing your AC guide. I have a lot of trouble telling what frame an attack becomes active in this game. Somehow feels like there's a lot less audio/visual feedback than games with similar mechanics like dota and starcraft.
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda Год назад
Thank you! And I absolutely agree, it can be incredibly hard to pin point. Especially, because some animations (such as Nox skin) are hugely deceptive, as it sends out both her waves immediately, which sort of sends the message "Hey, both my attacks are done!", when this is absolutely not the case! The mechanic even goes deeper than that, but that's stuff I'll be covering as well ^_^

Nice vid bro! Interesting breakdown. What sinners have the best Crowd Control Vs Unlockable Enemies that run straight for your The Chief?
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda 6 месяцев назад
Oh damn, people still watch this? Haha, it's a bit outdated at this point honestly, but good to hear it still helped! Hmm, against Unblockable enemies, the common countermeasure is typically just to burst them before they reach the chief as they are typically quite squishy. Though, CC is still a valid way of dealing with them I suppose. Which in that case, Lisa is still the Queen of slows and completely locks down any enemies that tries to make progress. Joan also has some CC in the form of stun, but it's less reliable. There are more units with CC, however for those units the *cost* of bringing them usually outweighs the value they bring to the table. Or, the CC they bring isn't really enough to label them a "Crowdcontroller" (Such as Pacassi who gets 20% Enemy Slow inside her ult. Good unit for a couple of reasons, *not* for the slow reason) And lastly my top recommendation is Lamia! She only needs to hit enemies once, before her DoT takes care of them, and she has a small bit of slow on top.
@TheStuffEnjoyer

@@TheRubyPanda Heh, yup. Apparently so. And I appreciate the help too. Basically a Returner Player. Had a day 1 account that I did us till this January. Then I realised I missed out on Nox. Tried to roll for her with free currency but failed. So I gave up and started anew to get her. But I then run into the CC problem. Turns out I over simped for Box and neglected my other Sinners in raising them. Ended up relying on Kelvin's slow and freeze. But her cc is very unreliable. Foetunaly, I have Lamia. Since you have her high praises as a recommendation, I'll go for her. And I've just watched Lamia vids. And yeah, her CC looks fun to use. But I'll try to raise more damage dealers outside of Box like you recommended. My go to Sinner Squad has been: Nox Hecate Kelvin Ariel EMP 6th slot being either Demon, Anne, Eve or Chameleon.
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda 6 месяцев назад
@@TheStuffEnjoyer I see I see! Honestly, it's also just what you make of it! If you just want a nice casual run going through Story, your team is actually very reasonable! Maybe look to find a slot for Laby because she is just simply OP xD But yea! Laby, and ofc Lamia would be an amazing addition (especially over something like Kelvin). Some people would also say not to raise an Endura, however personally I think it's completely reasonable to do so. Though, I prefer Demolia since she is much cheaper than Demon, or Eve simply because she has more end game prospects. I would personally advise against running 2x Healer (Ariel and Anne), as it's a lot of resources for fairly low return. Similar case with Chameleon here early on. Good luck! And welcome back

I'm curious--who would you recommend as Arcane DPS if you're not interested in animation canceling for Luvia?
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda Год назад
Assuming Eirene is stable, I would say S3 Serpent (however she too really wants you to animation cancel) with Last Stand can also work. Alternatively to that you can maybe put something like any shackle Serpent (without animation canceling her) on a team with Hamel, Eirene, Hecate, Laby, Che, and force the Eirene mining strat every week. However we are kind of reaching the point where inconsistency seeps in if you ever have a terrible buff week.

Nice vid. Quick question i decided to build Victoria (i have her max sackled) for a magic damage dealer.Is she on par with luvia Ray? What crimebrands do you recommend for her.
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda Год назад
Victoria isn't amazing unfortunately. However, she is "viable" (as is most things in this game actually). Her main problem lies in the fact that everything she does do, another Sinner does better. I will mostly talk about her in the context of BFL. For Shackled, Victoria isn't amazing, her single target damage is much lower than Luvia's, meaning while Luvia can let you 240k with just Eirene as sub DPS, Victoria would most likely need support from both Eirene and Serpent, and even in that case she might have to function as a sub DPS for Serpent. (All of this is assuming the week buffs don't let you do the Eirene mining strategy. So for Shackled, Luvia is better than Victoria. For Maiden, Victoria is definitely stronger than Luvia, so you should find good use for her here. Crache however, does Victoria's job, but better (both of the sinners focus on isolating 1 lane and clearing it by themself). For Maiden, Victoria is better than Luvia. However, since Victoria is best for Maiden (and kind of only good for her), that's rarely a good reason to build a unit. You see, since Maiden has equal Defense and Magic Resistance, we usually end up bringing the damage dealers we already built for Brand and Shackled, since having sinners that function well in multiple BFL bosses are much more efficient to invest in. Hope that explains it! To sum up, Victoria will only prove a minor upgrade to your Shackled team, but could see considerable improvements on your Maiden team. Whereas Luvia would prove a major upgrade to your Shackled team, and a minor improvement to Maiden.
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda Год назад
Oh and since you asked about Crimebrands as well. I would generally recommend Embrace of Death (if you don't have that use Syndicate: Glory). However, there are a lot of units which gain great value from the Embrace set, making it highly contested. So make sure you experiment and test out which of your units get the most value from it.
@user-dh3rd9bv4t

@@TheRubyPanda Thanks for the detailed answer my friend, i think Victoria is an interesting unit, but definitely not a priority for me(I am relatively new at the game trying to p3 Nox and Eirine definitely more useful).Thanks for the crimebrand recommendation as well.
@Temuj1n
@Temuj1n Год назад
Why is her Ultimate skill not a priority? it gives her attk speed without any restriction, please explain
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda Год назад
Hi! Certainly, though this is a bit of advanced concept I will cover more in my animation cancel video (should only be a few days away now). Essentially, the main reason her Ultimate has low to mid priority is due to the way Attack Speed interacts with Animation Cancelling. Essentially, there exists certain attack speed benchmarks such that when you hit them, you reduce the number of frames your attack takes to complete by 1 frame. Now, how much you need to invest in your Luvia in order to hit the next tier will depend on Shackle count (I highly recommend checking out Hoyin's ATK Speed Document where all this math is listed docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1on-r8p7iEDbV7G3eQGgbXwVKgf0_gihYXdG9JnnaMpU/edit#gid=0 ). If you want to be optimal you would need anything between level 5-10 on the ultimate, and level 4-9 on the Passive 2, in order to go through the most number of attack speed benchmarks. For a slightly more practical example, imagine you have a Shackle 0 Luvia (0.6 attack speed = 25 frames), her ult is level one, so you get 16% ATK Speed (0.70 attack speed = 22 frames). Now let's max skill her ultimate immediately 16% -> 22%, or effectively (0.73 attack speed = 21 frames). So by fully leveling her ultimate to 7, you have shaved off a single frame of your attacks.
@Temuj1n
@Temuj1n Год назад
@@TheRubyPanda If my understanding is correct, the reason her ult has less prio is because it has a very unnoticeable diff while we have animation cancel that do same or more dps without using a resources hence it was more cost efficient.
@TheRubyPanda
@TheRubyPanda Год назад
@@Temuj1n Yup! That's basically it. Later down the line when you are really trying to squeeze out DPS. You can invest in the ultimate, since the 1 frame you shave off, also means you can ani cancel 1 frame earlier.

It will probably be Serpent in this series (plan was to release that vid ages ago, but here we are). In general it seems people have been wanting more general guide content first, before these sort of deep dives, which does make quite a bit of sense. So yeah, it might be a while till I revisit this series, but I'll add Pricilla to the list
@SpydersByte
@SpydersByte Год назад
@@TheRubyPanda ah, thats a shame. Only thing Ive ever had to look up general content related was BFR if you can call it that, otherwise just the info on individual units. Oh and your animation cancel guide was super useful, but imo most of the game is very self explanatory and has a much less complicated daily and weekly routine than the other gachas I play.
