@@SpartanElite43 I wasn't sure if his song was the one you were talking about or if there was another similar song by someone else you might've been referencing. Such a great song and ironically was released around the time my life changed in a major way for the better. Haven't listened to it in years and immediately turned it on after watching this video lol
I summalummadummalooma you assumin I’m a human what is gotta do to get it through to you I’m superhuman inavative and I’m made of subbed so that anything you say is ricocheting off of me and it’ll glue to you I’m devastating more than ever demonstrating how to give a motherfucking audiend a feelin like it’s levatatin
Even though I have the Pensacola, I play the Omaha 10x as much. With its HE guns, I'm able to rain fire down from the heavens. Its an awesome thing. Only time I switch to AP is with destroyers because I figure I can get good penetration from their lighter armor. After watching Spartan, I will try against other cruisers as well. But you guys are right, any mistake going broadside against a heavier cruiser or battleship is a death sentence. I've had a battleship salvo zap 90% of my health. If I was already dinged at the time, I was a goner.
“I’m not looking forward to Pensacola in standard, but what’s the worst that can happen?” Umm, you get dev struck by a battleship at 15km cause you’re a moving citadel
This is one of the most slept on ships in the PC version. People think because it looks old it must suck. Enemy cruisers were forever giving me their broadside and getting murdered by AP for that mistake. I had a friend who was 100% free to play who had the patience of Job. He loved the Omaha so much he had over 10k battles in her.
In my Konigsberg there was a full health Omaha that completely broadside to me. I had my AP loaded and I aimed at the citidal(you don’t have to try very hard against an Omaha at 6 km away) and fired. My ship had 9 guns and I got 9 citidal
A video A Aron posted showed how to set waypoints for carrier play. It changed my life. No more hiding at the back. Totally improved my gameplay. Such a simple thing i never knew existed. As always a great vid. For me, the Omaha, the North Carolina, and the Georgia are my "citadel" ships. seems like every salvo gets at least one citadel.
The evasiveness on the Omaha makes it much easier to avoid shots then the Pensacola although you can bowtank fairly well with the Pensi but not with the Omaha... its a ship you always want on the move.
Omaha and Marblehead are my go-to ship when I need to finish a shakedown cruise for anything but needing to take potential damage. It is a ship that you need to be careful with as it is a class that can be devstruck so easiely, but as long as you are careful it is a formimable ship.
Now let's look at the armor...ok moving on next segment. Seriously though excellent cruiser vicious firepower AP and HE with great arcs fairly accurate for deck mounts. Between speed and handling and profile good for kiting and fire from cover tactics.
Is there a video on the channel (or could you make one) that goes through all the ships of each nation and where/how to get them? Not in great detail, just a quick blow through. Like, I got burned down by the same Ochakov yesterday 3 times in seperate matches, but I couldn't find it for sale anywhere. Same thing with the Kamikaze destroyer. As a new player, its confusing not to have everything available or at least visible.
I still enjoy this ship every now and again was my first ship to get a kraken and had over 20 b4 i lost count even today i needed 10 citadels for a challenge and had 10 first game if upgrade your rudder x2 u shouldn't get devstruck if u pay attention
Thanks to yesterday’s video of the Phoenix I knew that I could dev strike a Phoenix with British HE and I today I did it lol, 4 cits with and she was gone
That really odd plate in the front i would guess its for the magazine compartment for the front guns.. i like the path toos its nice to see always enjoy the vids
You are a history guy like me so let me ask you , what do you think those tubes on top of the two turrets are? I have not been able to find any information on them. I don't believe they are range finders so my best guess is ram rods for cleaning the barrels or spare barrels. What do you think?
Omaha is one of my favourite ships. I rely heavily on it when I have to complete citadel missions like the eagle missions. BTW, I saw a Missouri today from an xbox player. Will we see a meet the Missouri video soon?
Pensacola is squishy but i find it to be a great ship. Hated it early on when i was a newbie but now i understand how to play better i find it good fun.
A word on EoP. Whether you take it or not is a judgement call. It's not a go-to choice, not at this tier. I often do take it on Omaha/Marblehead because it does make a difference when fighting T5 BBs. However, it's at the cost of effectiveness on DDs--your damage is lower and they aren't hard to pen with HE. You want DDs--particularly T5 ones--dead yesterday and EoP prolongs the fight a bit. I don't like it on Phoenix because it doesn't face 25mm hull plating on BBs. This ship does, so you have to think about what it'll mean when you choose it.
I'd take floating citadels with many guns over furry taco. Omaha & her sister Marblehead have a tendency to overwhelm if not outright whoop Furutaka and anything in a fight so long as its not a battleship though sheer HE/AP dpm. They're gun layouts are just 👌
Omaha is an odd ship for me, I both love to play itm and love when I run into on the other side. It's not a terrible ship, it's just a ship you need to know what your are doing with it, or you are going to die.
