Path to The Veneto! Andrea Doria (World of Warships Legends) 

Andrea Doria was lead ship of her class and her sister was Duilio. She was laid down on 24th March 1912 and commissioned on 13th March 1916. Like the other Italian Battleships she would see no action during ww1. She would see action during the interwar period, in 1920 a rebellion against the King of Italy was started by General Gabriele D'Annunzio. Andrea Doria was the only active Battleship and was sent to intercept the rebel forces. Her secondaries would badly damage the destroyer Espero and she would then shell the rebel Generals HQ. In 1937 she woukd be put out of service to receive her refit and was out of action at the start of WW2. During the Raid on Taranto by the Royal Navy in 1940, she would escape undamaged. After that she be assigned to the 5th Division and dispatched with Vittorio Veneto in January 1941 to stop the British Convoys to Malta. She would see her final action of the War in the Battle of Sirte in December 1941. She would be placed on escort duties in January 1942 and would suffer engine problems. She would be laid up for the remainder of the war. Following the Italian surrender, she would be interned in Malta in 1943, returning to Sicily in 1944 and finally back to Taranto in 1945. After the war in 1949 she was made flag ship of the Italian Navy, holding the honour until 1950 and again in 1951 until 1953. She was made a traning ship in 1953 and finally was decommissioned in 1956. Her 40 year career ending with her being scrapped. Her sister Duilio would also serve post war and would be decommissioned at the same time in 1956.

Struggled with the Doria vs BBs felt like a glass cannon that got overmatched at every angle, ended up using it hunting cruisers or providing support to another BB, xp'd the last 50k of it

i got a secondary build on this thing, Love it. absolutely love it and the main batteries somehow do really good, could be my favourite tier 5 battleship, had an encounter with a budyonny and new mexico today where budyonny was at like point blank range and new mexico was about 4 kilometers, got the new mexico with the main guns, and that budyonny was full health, got it with those insane ass secondaries. blast of a game

This is my favorite battleship to play mostly due to speed. I have the secondary guns out at 5.3km .

Bruh I noticed this instantly today - Cavour felt fair with me getting consistent trades and 1st place. Doria is getting me dev struck in the first 30 seconds lol I had to check if I wasn’t In A Pensacola

The first time I sank a Doria was Prince Blip...then Sailing Robin got me. The ships hadn't even been released yet.

I love the Doria. Maybe the guns are not the most affordable, but the fact thai it is so fast and agile makes you capable to reposition quickly and be very useful for the team. Same thing for the Normandie.

I'm a little astonished you got a double citadel even on a Russian BB. I thought the game no longer allowed more than one citadel at a time (at least when I'm shooting).

Honestly, I like the Andrea Doria. It's punchy, durable, and a gun boat. But, overall, I'd rather taken the Japanese tier V BBs.

When I think I finally get an idea of this game. A year in now and back here for some help. Definitely struggling in this 1. This ship with my experience feels worse than Brisbane. Least I actually enjoy the Brizy. Anyway.. thanks for the vid. I refocused with a similar build and finally make some headway again. Cmon Colombo 🙌

My andrea doria is full secundery/ brawler build. Fast reload and good secundery range. Its for the fun of it. Otherwise i use Angelo lachino as commander

Why do you run AL littorio wouldn’t it be better to run Angelo Iachino because he not only has a very good base trait that increases accuracy but also the option to get an extra heal with his unique trait testudo and also has will to rebuild if you want

Personally I prefer Angelo as the commander, testorio or what ever it's called is a great perk. I've replaced the Littorio with him. But as always, it depends on your individual play style

Spartan you should have tried the Italian HE in my opinion almost as good as the Japanese and British. on my Andrea Doria I almost always use it since I can't shoot shit (besides having a secondary setup) I always use it in situations like that at the end of the video, it creates a good amount of fire and does decent damage.

Don't understand that you didn't use SAP. Absolutely wrecking cruisers and BB super structures.
