By the way, your video on "winterizing a hammock" is spot on. Went camping with my grandsons last winter with the temperature in the middle 30's. The second night a "blue norther " blew though and we did not even realize it until we went to get up the next morning and found the temperature to be 18 degrees F. All 3 of us were warm & snug in our hammocks. Thanks.
I like it Dave I am looking into one right now for me and my wife (2 of them...we have been married 36 years lol) Re-doing our BOB due to age change. My main one now is 10 years old and you should update it for age changes. Matter of fact that would be a great video ,BOB for people of age! Thanks again!
Hey Dave, nice hammocks. I really like the fact that they are made in the USA and the patterns are great. I went to your site and found that they are made from Orsino Diamond Ripstop fabric, are rated to hold 400lbs, and are 10' x 6.5'. Thanks for sharing.
Hey ponytail, good eye! The idea of a non-camouflage pattern that still creates a camo effect is truly genius. Living in the high desert of southeastern Az. leaves me with little opportunity to actually use a hammock, but The pattern idea for a sunshade/shelter would be very sellable in my (not so humble) opinion. My recommendation is to develop such products. made of the siliconized nylon material such as the Integral Designs siltarp, My siltarp shelter weighs in at under 1 pound and uses my hiking poles as tent poles. But it is a plain OG color. The snake skin or the old world map would really be I really get a lot from your videos and love your 'no BS' approach to old world skills as a viable prepper lifestyle. I heartily support and promote your business and efforts which, if adhered to, would provide many with a path to self reliance and a comfort beyond mere survival. Thanks brother, Vocalpatriot
Damn good idea. Military camo can have a bit of a stigma attached to it even though it works. This works and is kinda nondescript (not totally though as it is pretty cool!) That map is more camo than the snake skin!! Well done that man!!
Just a thought, if you are going to add the ridgeline option, using a cord that doesn't stretch would be better than paracord. This will give you the consistent hang angle that you are seeking by going the ridgeline route.
Nice video love the idea of camouflage that is not so tactical !!! I was wondering also if instead of an underquilt, some leaves or debris could be a simple way to insulate in a survival situation ?!?Thanks again Dave !
A and he was swingin just a swing in .lol great idea with the patterns snake skin is great ask uncle Ted ! The map lol great and does blend but are very cool take care brother
Hi Dave, I really like the old world map came. Not so mad about the snakeskin though. Looks like a great product but what about a type of in-built bug net for mossies etc?
Hopefully you see this first Mister Canterbury how about hammocks anchor Chiefs and stuff like that survival stuff that have a map that correspond to the different state parks maybe region of the country American made and perhaps each state could be depicted in a map hammock
They look good. Query: do you have a water proof, lightweight, tarp with these same patterns on one side? Also do you have them with mosquito (no-see-mum's too) proof netting attached?
Hey Dave I'm going on a 5day primitive camping and trapping do you know how I can preserve my catches while I'm there if I catch anything I'm leaving Friday if you could get back to me with some advice . Please and thanks
Hey Dave, this is completely unrelated to the video but is there anyway you could partner with chiappa firearms to produce a single shot 12ga like the ones h&r used to produce? I know your a huge advocate of the single shot, and have convinced many of us of it's superiority and versitility in the woods, but it seems impossible to get a hold of one, at least in my area.
You never answered my question about similar priced as an ENO double hammock? Like $69 plus extra for straps maybe $29 more if were talking ENO Atlas straps.
Tomek_PL. What about taller people? I know several guys that are 6' 6" and love to hammock camp. It would seem that extra length ensures his product will work for a wider variety of customers, sounds like a good business decision to me.
That snakeskin's where the money's at. Might get me shot or stabbed accidentally cuz some inexperienced scaredy cat'll swear I'm an Anaconda but I'd lay all up in that snake belly. Purdy!
I used a hammock pistol hunting squirrels .i would go where a buch of sqirrels were hang there for like 1/2 hrs then the squirrels would come close .shoot one then wait shoot another . Make a cup of tea and bbq some squirrel .some rice and crushed corn chips.you would be surprised !
