We have been developing Kaveri engine since iwas a school boy in shorts. Yet we are capable of producing a whole load of modern weaponry. I think we either give a focused and time bound program or accept the fact that our engineers and metallurgists are incapable of making a jet engine

We should scrap MRFA and go for 5th generation SU75 with AL 41F engine with TOT and indigenous manufacture. AL41F engine has required thrust for AMCA also. America is likely to play its dirty game in this area also.

Fully agree that quantity has its own advantage over quality. Instead of going for world's best weapon at the beginning is it not better to go for sightly(?) Inferior weapon in more quantities at a cheaper cost and then keep on improving it. We are already doing it for super sukhois. Also we should leave the job of shoe making to the cobblers. Keep the bureaucracy our of defence procurement. It concerns about national security where we can not allow bureaucracy to play its game.

Primary safety is avoid Chinese phones. Buy brands that are made in Bharat. The telecom service providers should avoid Chinese equipment altogether gor which the GOI will need to intervene in this. Specially the last one.
