Patient advocacy: an essential role 

Patient advocacy, by individuals and organizations, serves an essential role, giving a voice to those who are most affected by a disease. Here, Catherine Bouvier, RGN, Director of Patient Support at the neuroendocrine tumor (NET) Patient Foundation, Leamington Spa, UK, passionately discusses the importance of patient advocacy and the significance of medical establishments, such as the British Thoracic Oncology Group (BTOG), including the patient voice.
