They screw the implants into your jaw in four different spots. So you don’t have to remove them. Like myself I will have traditional dentures that I take in out every night. Cheaper and no surgery for placement.
I like how you explain pros and cons of the types of choices. Right now I'm doing the waiting game for my radiation doctor to powwow with you to go over the treatment plan especially the placement of the implants. We'll see what happens.
I appreciate the information you have shared and in this gain I see where the dentist I had gone to failed in MANY ways that has placed me on the path that only gives harm and I'm so worried for I see no way out then damaging effects which is affecting my entire being 😭
I so wish I had taken a trip to see you guys! While I’m ok with the fit and comfort of the snap ins I hate the way my smile looks. When I smile my top teeth can barely be seen and my lip doesn’t go up far enough while my bottoms are front and center and they werent with my real ones. I just hate it!
I started my "Lego teeth" in 2020. I have 4 implants on top and 2 on the bottom. I haven't gone 6 months without the bottom plate breaking. My top plate broke once. My dentist has been very good and has replaced them and did put a "metal reinforced webbing (mesh)" in both plates. The bottom plate has rocked like on a fulcrum since the beginning. It tends to break right at the "hubs?" (housing for the implant) on either side. My last visit (March 2023) to the dentist I was told okay he's done everything he said he would Sherry, next visit will be with an appointment charge. He did give me a back up set, no reinforcement, and not level-cross bite, strictly "cosmetic" as to not go without teeth. Basically, being told the 2 implants work on my others, so it's my fault I guess. I asked why wouldn't they use 3, any curve requires 3 points in my surveying & design experience. That would prevent it from rocking, it's a perfect seesaw on the bottom. Well, 1.5 weeks ago the bottom broke, AGAIN. This is ridiculous! I called and scheduled a consultation with my periodontist. I explained I was having a problem with my implants and plate. I also called my dentist and asked for a call back, to discuss my concern about the bottom plate breaking and not being able to go a full 6 months without failure of it. He asked to see me before seeing the surgeon and to look at the plate. Ok, he thinks it's good to go & just explain the movement, breakages and see what he suggests. My dentist believes I needed more support from the very 1st break, but he tried different treatments with the lab. Well, $17,000 later & the peri-surgeon says they should be holding up, because 2 is sufficient. I asked if possibly I had too much force in my bite? He said the dentist would do testing? of such if it's done. So he says I likely need 2 more implants! Well, back in 2020 why didn't he tell me? Is it because I have too much bone? He, actually no one, never told me I have "tora?" bone on my lower jaw. My new dentist told me. It's like no wonder I was terrified of dental work. Simple bite wings would hurt & cut my mouth. I thought everyone had "wings", that's what mine looks like 😉 Well anyway, I'm very unhappy with the bulk and now worried about costs of these new appliances. I previously had my backpack from work with disability so I paid cash, nearly $18000. Now, it's likely at least another $5000 for implants and the retrofitting of the lower plate, cost unknown? Don't know about lower plate integrity once done? I literally have had to get anxiety meds before going to have dental procedures. I already have anxiety and PTSD from a horrific accident in 2016 & medical emergency in 2017. Spent a total of 14 days on life support between the two years and over 2 months in a hospital 😭 Not sure how much more I can handle, especially with uncertainties with my dental team I'm in a podunk town in SC, so the doctors are far & few between. Not a lot of choices. So I'm Broadening my horizons Please, please advise. Am I just a freakish 52 yrs of age, at 5'2", 138# female with an extraordinary bite? I can send all my paperwork & pics, same position as this guy. A bit worried about requesting films, etc. because of small town, politics.
I'm having full mouth restoration with implants. They won't be 'snap in',, but will be fixed in my mouth. Currently healing from uncovering implants, and putting in abutments. It will just be teeth on my natural gums. I hate the temp dentures due to the built in pallette. If people can afford it, I'd highly recommend getting implants that are fixed.
I had 4 implants on the upper and two on the lower. Two of the upper implants failed during the first few months of healing, due to unknown reasons. I’m left with only two implants to hold the upper, one on each side, which is obviously not as stable as four would be. My expectation going in was that I wanted a fit that felt secure and I wouldn’t need to use adhesive. I’m left with an unstable denture that I’ve needed to use adhesive with. I’m wondering if there is any other option for the upper? Thank you!
I have 16 mini dental implants , (8 top 8, bottom) and a snap in overdenture that I'm not happy with because it is too big for my mouth and I don't like how they look. The dentist I went to is apparently the only one in town that does the mini implants. I chose these due to cost and short healing time. My question is , can the mini implants be removed and regular implants placed? What is the process and healing time on average? No other dentist in my town works with the mini implants so they can't help me.
OK, this was the best video I have seen regarding my situation I was gonna all on 4 but was concerned about keeping them clean so that Oral Surgeon suggested overdenture My gag reflex is insane so now I’m definitely getting all on 4. I wish you were in California! I just almost signed up 4 secured dental implants. Western Dental has a special of $10,000 for secured snap on dentures. Yet I have a Tori on roof of my mouth. I feel two implants on top are not enough. They should do 4 implants on top not 2. I also have sinus issues. And bone loss. Please advise me!! 🦷 I have still my painful natural teeth.
I would appreciate your answer to this question. Say I have all on 4 on the bottom jaw and I come in for my 6 month cleaning and check up. What is the cost for this service. Thank you. I had the worst teeth ever! Went a few years with the wires coming out from the root canals after the crowns came off and I no longer had coverage. I have a full set of top and bottoms I got in 2017 and as far as teeth go and a match to the size of my natural teeth are GREAT! But it's so tough having to use fixodent once a day for my top and two times a day if not three for my bottom. I'm 46 and it's still my first set so I know my gum line has changed but a snap on would be cool I think from what I go through and that all on 4 thing. MAN THAT LOOKS LIKE A DREAM COME TRUE TO ME! Unfortunately I'm in ZERO POSITION TO EVEN HAVE A SECOND NEW SET MADE AT THE 1700 BUCKS I PAID FOR THE FIRST! Maybe one day Texas will give away free teeth to the people they look up to here in Oklahoma! LMAO! SO I KNOW FOR ME... NOT IN THIS LIFETIME! But the information is second to none! Does air pass thru these? I'm using an Exsis now (tooth 9 😢), and it's horrific. However, once a drilled tiny little air holes & drain holes, it's much more usable. To speak correctly, air MUST be allowed to pass thru. (I'm a singer and a voiceover artist btw) great info!
Thank you. Is there a way to lift the snap on denture? I can feel a little space between the roof of my mouth and the denture. Maybe by screwing in the posts a little? Or making the snaps on the denture deeper? I know this is a circumstantial situation. Just hoping to get an idea if it’s even possible before I start calling around. Thanks. Thank you for this video.My very high end Dentist office in Naples ,put 6 implants on top and 4 on bottom,3 yrs ago I have never been happy with the way my upper teeth look ,they are flat and my lip is all wrinkled from that. The only help they offered me was.I should get botox in my upper lip so I wouldn't have A gummy smile,and it might help the wrinkles. The whole experience has been horrible. I went back so many times to get a better fit. They ended up putting more pallet material in my mouth That I thought why didn't I just go with dentures. I went back to get a gasket done I had all ten done a month ago so I need one done tighter And the new female dentist to the practice Said she could fix that, but she would have to talk to her. Boss, who is the owner and is a dentist? She told me that she could fix my teeth with a new set that she needed to talk to him, she came back. He said no, it's been too long. It's been 2 and a 1/2 years. But she gave me hope and then it was dashed. She felt bad and just put the new gasket on the bottom I left fuming, I thought finally somebody's gonna help me. I have 6 teeth on my bottom and partial I'm fine. My dentist said that I sure would cover 4 implants with snap on which cost me 4000 out of pocket. Now after reading this I'm worried.
I had my implants too on the bottom. Only a food gets underneath my denture. They don't look good they tip backwards. It doesn't push the bottom of my lip out like it should. I am just not happy with them at all. They don't Snap in very secure. And the bottom of my lip sometimes goes numb. Can you tell me why that happens? My dentist? Are dangerous? I should say that made them even the titanium. You can see them through the teeth. And I don't understand even they don't know what they're doing. Or they have a very global quality. Material, I don't know, but I'm not happy and I want to get my top ones done. But my bottom one costs me $12000. And now I'm too afraid to get my top ones done. Because I want them to look natural in the bottom one's look. Horrifying, can you please help me with this?
I had snap on dentures on bottom they put 3 abutment in the bottom of my snap on dentures, rock back and forwarded and pop out when trying to eat. All the dentist does is shave them down each time I have gone to were there's hardly any gum that's holding to dentures, the dentist that done the implants quite working at this office, I found him 9 months later and all he did was shaved the dentures down and blame the other dentists at the office he was working at. I've seen a surgeon and was told there's not the same sizes the middle is like a size 4 left is like 12 right a 16 and never should had put a abutment in the middle when my mouth is so small. I'm upset in North Carolina and I it's going cost more then if I hadn't had this done. The new surgeon told me it was like a 30 to 40 years ago what he done. What should I do next get the new surgeon to try and fix it borrow more money, which will end up being more money than the first time and owe close to $20,000.00 just for a snap on denture for bottom? Any thoughts would help. I can't wear the top or bottom no more then two hours a day are they start hurting so badly I have to take them out and no one can understand what I'm saying because they are to big I have a overbite that's better bad as well, I can't eat with dentures and in they pop out. I have a strong gag reflex, cptsd, anxiety and depression. I am in the process now of planning for the extraction and going over options and I'm concerned that I'm going to be forced to settle for something that may not work for me.
Every time I learn something new about this hell of no teeth, it just reassures me that it's completely hopeless and leads me into a new anxiety attack. Knowledge isn't always power cuz sometimes it's just more pain!😢 I will never understand how you can NOT be healthy without teeth (cuz you not being able to eat is just the start) but that in the greatest country in the world teeth replacement literally cost's as much and more than cars/property/home's and everything else! Leaving most of us with literally no hope😢 can anyone advise anything realistic to change that fact?😢
Sure there is hope of replacing missing teeth for us poor people. I had no money so. I Googled low income dental care. The town I live in. There was low income dental clinic near me. They pulled all my teeth today. They charged based on our income. Dentures I can’t afford right now. So the only option I had was finding something. That would replace my missing teeth for now. I saw lady that took $40 veneer. Turned into denture. Now I can only eat soft food. But I will be able to smile and go places. Getting depressed over what I couldn’t afford. Was not going to solve my problem. Finding affordable solution would solve the problem. Is this the way I want things to be no. But accepting reality is the only answer. So my suggestion would to be looking into all affordable dentures that are available online. I hope you feel better soon.
I just received my snap-in lower denture today. It didn't snap in. The dentist said two of the five implants need adjusting. I am going on a one week vacation filled with anxiety about what needs to be done. The two outside implants are a bit angulated not allowing the denture to snap in. My dentist said it will be no problem to adjust the problematic implants. This is fresh and my confidence level is low in my chosen dentist. I did ask about his level of expertise and experience. I was assured by him that he was comfortable doing implants. After paying $10,000, I am going on vacation with a snap in that is being held in place by mere pressure on the three center implants. When I get back I will let him know that is snap in should be a snap in and that I have paid too much for this result.
sorry to hear but from the sounds of it, it sounds like the implants werent properly angulated on the posteriors. even if they use looser nylon inserts to allow for the angulation discrepancies, you wil have long term issues.
There are too many dentist that are doing the work of a prothodontis. I was going to get snap ins and I asked a couple if times to the office personnel how many implants has the dentist done. They said 5 I changed my mind and got dentures. The implants must be parallel to the opposite side and STRAIGHT or the snap in won't work.
600 mg Tylenol and 600 mg ibuprofen I never had pain or discomfort. All the other narcotics will make your stomach sick because you won’t be able to eat just drink your food. Warm salt water throughout the day with Orajel 2x. If you need ice on your face get a smile ice pack.
I didn't mind my temp dentures . I had impressions of my natural teeth that they used to make the temps. But I hate my permanent snap ons. The teeth aren't the shape I asked for ,the tops are not centered and I feel like my mouth is full of plastic.I can hardly fit a spoon and food both in my mouth. I still hate to smile so I'm not much better than before I spent 12,000 dollars

Chris MISTAKE is an understatement! They only showed me the bottom as the model so I feel deceived. My mom was there and heard the whole thing. I do see on dentist on Tuesday and I’m it’s totally not her fault she as tossed in later on. Im going to talk to her then and I’m going to make an appointment with the dentist that started this $$$$$ nightmare, if I’m not satisfied with the possible outcome as I doubt he I’ll offer to help anyway , arrogant “ Pretty Boy”. I’ve really hav had it and I’ll just get a lawyer he knew from the get go he knew straight up I DIDN’T want the crap on the roof of my mouth 😢 I don’t even wear th m many of thousands of dollars later DAM❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️
I havent gotten my snap on yet. Its been 8 months since Surgery and there had been many complications with scheduling which has prolonged it out. HOWEVER, by the end of the month I am getting them and now im nervous based off of this video. 😢 Im a T1Diabetic that had significant bone loss on my lower jaw, resulting in all my lower teeth to be removed. I was advised that having Snap On Dentures would be ideal considering im a T1 Diabetic and want to maintain good gum health. I have two implants on my lower jaw and bone grafting. Apparently my healing was perfect and my bone looks amazing. They were concerned of infection/rejection and said two snap ons would be good enough. They said I can add 2 more on the lower if all goes well. I kinda wanted the all on 4, but was advised against it. 🥺🥺 i just want to feel human and be able to eat.
If you get implants and the snap ins don't work for you they can simply change your type of abutment and put in fixed. They tried both options for me after I got implants.
Great video guys! I had a full l set of the snap dentures and for ten years could not wear them at all. After a few months of them falling out, can't bear them in my mouth from pain, anxiety gag reflex and cant eat with them. They were in a drawer the entre yen years I had them. So I had 2 posts on top and 2 on bottom sticking up but no teeth for ten years. Now for the last eleven years I have FIXED Zirconia full set with 13 implants to hold them. After healing it took me about two months to adjust to the pinch pain then they have been as good as my original teeth with no maintenance needed. I eat anything I want with no movement and nothing over the my roof. Just like teeth should be. Its more expensive but worth every penny. I could suggest schools for implantology sometimes give huge discounts for patients that allow them to demonstrate to students while doing procedures. I cant say this enough. No matter what your doctor will try to have you settle with... If possible GET FIXED DENTURES!
They shave good gum. Down to get your prosthetic in . One bad implant and there no going back dentures. You have to keep getting a new implant. Besides the cost its 3k every year to get removed cleaned. And your posts cleaned. And all the water picking and flossing at night? I'm too old to go that route. Many of us had bad teeth whether genetic or bad practices. From a variety of reason. The all on os a huge commitment of $$$ and then every night and then the 3k possibly more if you go like they want 2x a year. Oh did they tell you they only last a certain nu.bdrvof yesrs? If your youngg inbyourc50 or 60 look for another big expense. You are happy now. I'll pass. Everyone see the utuvmve video buyer beware.
Thats not true about no maintenance. You gotta get them removed and cleaned every yesr. And you have to floss and water pik nightly. How is that no maintenance?
I currently am in the last month of healing, 6 implants in the top and 6 in the bottom. I'm going to a fixed denture but I choose acrylic teeth to keep the cost down a bit. What are your thoughts on zirconia, acrylic, porcelain etc.?
Zirconia is much stronger than acrylic. You may have to upgrade to Zirconia. I was scheduled to have 4 on 4 done , but I canceled due to my dentist was using acrylic
I have the zirconia and love them. They are more durable but also more expensive. I never worry they will break. If you get acrylic you can possible save money if your careful with them and they don't break. Also to consider that depending on your situation and how many implants affecting the integrity of the denture ect.... Your dentist may recommend Zirconia if they feel the added strength is required. But again.. they cost more.
My acrylic all on four upper arch was excellently. No problem whatsoever during the last 6 years. I enjoy my new teeth very much. Deep Cleaning is once a year when the dentist removed the denture and cleaned. I brush and water pick 3 times a day after meals. Now 3 acrylic teeth are chipped. The dentist can fix them for $450. I will upgrade the upper denture to zirconia for $7000. And I will also do the lower arch in Zirconia All on four with the same excellent dentist/oral surgeon/periodontist.
My wife just had all on 4 (surgery 2 weeks ago) and she has a really sunken in look to her mouth. Almost like she has her dentures out. The doctor said that they can modify it to make it look more full but we are STRESSED OUT. Any advice?

When I had my natural teeth my gag reflex was not apparent , with the over denture I couldn’t even keep them in for an hour at a time. As a patient I didn’t even know that could be an issue! I think people need to really be careful and really learn. Getting all you teeth out is traumatic. And it’s been added trauma ever since!
Excellent information. I wish I could have afforded all on four; however, it wasn’t just the cost for me. I had a bridge at one point in time, and I was religious about flossing under it. Then like a wannabe that claims to be a Christian that stops going to church, I eventually stopped flossing. This isn’t why the bridge failed, I have bad teeth. One dentist when I was around seven warned my Mother, I would be overcrowded and needed some pulled or I’d have trouble all my life. He was correct. Teeth splitting, some pushed out by irregularly, growing wisdom teeth. Jagged, making brushing and flossing nigh impossible in places. The more I lost, the more root canals, the more failed crowns; I finally had them pulled and eight implants (four up four down) put in for the snap-on style. I don’t have a gag reflex issue, and the temporary dentures aren’t horrible after a month plus as I heal bone to the implants. My prosthodontist definitely under promised, even to the point of warning me about getting dentures at all even with all of my issues. I truly appreciated his openness and apparent honesty. Ultimately, I went ahead with the procedure because I was down to only three teeth to chew with and was basically swallowing food whole or in large chunks. This is causing other health issues besides the insane weight gain from food that was very difficult to get digested. In the end, each person has their own decision to make on what they do. I’m just glad there are people like the ones I have been working with, and these new video that truly want to help their patients.
My snap ons i am having them redone finally after almost a year I absolutely love the fit of them they are beautiful but unfortunately they do not stay snapped on I decided i needed a back up so i went somewhere else they do snap on and stay on but they are so ugly
Are my dentures I received after surgery the ones that will be made into my snap on? Or should I be receiving new ones for my snap on in 4 months. Thanks
That's what I'm wondering too. The dentist told me I'd get a new one but when I are went in for an adjustment the tech said no, they'd just put the abutment into the first ones. They aren't the right color and the gums are very light colored nothing like my actual gums and they don't even align up with my upper teeth. Ugh, I dread the headaches with this already. I'm supposed to get them finished in October.
I'm going to a lot of pain I have Bone lose they put 2 on the bottom and 4 on the top but one of the screws went I to my nose cavern and I super from sinus and the snap on fit afall what can I do I need help
I had 22 teeth removed and implants placed for snap ons in Jan 2021 and I still do not have them completed. I have spent a ton of time and almost 30,000 on these!!! Thank God it's the time of year mask but at the last appointment I finally raised my tone and was in tears....was told that after all this time of trying in dentures and having them remade that the implants were placed WRONG!!!! How did they go almost 2 years and never tell me they placed them wrong! Now I have another surgery scheduled for Nov 3rd to take them all out and replace them correctly (ps, they said they are doing this for free since they messed up however I would need to pay for the sedation....which I paid for the first time) I have never been able to wear any of the dentures and need help! I have lots of pictures from the process along the way and also videos of how they rocked so badly in my mouth....what do I do! Oh please help! I'm a respiratory practitioner and rely A LOT on my smile, that I've lost for the last 2 years!
oh boy. sorry to hear of this situation but it does happen a lot. well I'm glad they are in the process to at least repair the situation. honestly, I would demand that they at least pay for the sedation too but I'm glad to hear that you're not having to pay for them to fix the situation. just make sure you ask them what it is specifically that they'll be doing to fix the situation. its important to know specifics and to make sure they're fully transparent with you.

I had four implants to get an upper denture, and I can honestly say they are beautiful aesthetically however, I cannot bite down on even a hotdog. I was told by the dentist you have to bite where the implants are placed, who in the world put a hotdog in their mouth off to the side? They have done nothing but had movement from day one I have had the inside rings replaced to make them tighter. It just doesn’t matter. The denture constantly moves. I refuse to eat out, because so much food gets under the denture. It’s very uncomfortable if I do by into a sandwich, as I did the other day, the whole snap on upper denture clipped out of my mouth. There is a lot of movement every time I go to the dentist there is always another excuse. I was even recommended to use denture glue. I was planning to use denture glue I would have never ever spent, this much money for the Snapon denture it’s been an absolute nightmare. The minute I come home I take them out I cannot stand them.
I just got my snap ins placed on Monday. I can not get them to stay in for more than a few hours and then if I do get them in, it takes me 2 hours to get them out using every bit of force I can muster to get them out and my mouth is bleeding. Can I get my snap ins switched to an all on four or is there something that can be done to fix this?

Excuse me not madecright .they don't hit on but three on top and two on bottom the implants on either top or bottom are not even so therefore they can snap in right and bottoms don't line up at all
I am alreadyyyyyyy sick over my “snap ins” which I get the finals on the 7th of May. I was referred to my implants surgeon by my dentist and he and I only discussed doing the all on 4, when i said something about price of the all on 4’s he cancelled my surgery WHILE I WAS SITTING IN THE CHAIR WAITING TO GO UNDER because he said he thought it was way more than what I said (for the set of dentures) so it was confirmed the pricing I thought was correct an office guy called to explain the cost of my dentures and we rescheduled my surgery. I never saw the dentist once I was referred out for my surgery and assumed that he and the surgeon were in contact the entire time. I certainly didn’t know anything about implants or dentures so I had no clue what was happening. The check ups post op when I was finally released back to the dentist and a time or two I noticed things not lining up with my thoughts (such as there being a pallet in the first try on) well he is king of mystery every time I asked a question he’d dodge or say we’ll discuss and since I guess i wasn’t asking the specific technical question he didn’t answer. I was so concerned that before my final try on I called up to MAKE SURE it was no pallet and the all on 4 I thought. Still a pallet smh when I ask if it’s just for the try in he said well I can remove it but I don’t suggest it and says a few things that I realized they were snap ins. His response was well idk how much uve paid -umm 50gs- to which he responds o no just paid for the final dentures. $7500 o yea we’ll all on 4s are $10gs a piece. Thing is I have all on 4 implants which I didn’t need for snap ins I had to ask to have him add more screws out of confusion why I had them to not use. Bottom line I got screwed. I don’t know how to approach the situation he has not been at all someone I am comfortable talking to. Especially after I said well the pallet makes me gag to hear. U seemed fine to me the past hour - bc I wasnt being dramatic and bc I’ve been adjusting to the permanent gag feeling for over a year since my surgery. WHERE DO U GO FOR HELP ON THIS - I have no more financial options and am crushed I put my family through this for something that I’m not even getting now. I am exhausted dealing with this. It seems so unfair. Feels like the past year+ of misery is just about to continue. Exhausted.
I also asked him to check one of the implants as it seeemed to be getting infected which he said mmmm nah it’s fine less it gets wiggly 😳but from my research, that would be implant failure. I think I got the infection under control with my surgical mouthwash and some otc gum oil treatment. Still have gum retention bad and it feels like a popcorn kernel in my implant. But I think I got the infection gone but I feel like he’s messing up my implants. I had zero issues in the almost year of surgeries and healing with my surgeon ugh I have no clue what to do
I just went through 2 dental implant placement on my 2 front anterior incisors today. After placing the implant the dentist took out the implant from my bone socket completely and kept it aside with blood smeared on it , drllied the socket more and placed it again . Can implants be taken out and placed again for the same implant......while surgery takes place ?
My oral surgeon has suggested a fixed upper arch (zirconia) and a snap on lower arch (acrylic) to assist with managing clenching/TMJ issues. He feels bottom acrylic overdenture will have a little more ‘give’ and help with prosthetic/teeth longevity… I don’t really want a snap on denture… what options do I have. I currently still have 22 teeth and will be getting extractions and implants placed with temp dentures for a few months for healing and integration of implants.
Have your lower teeth crowned instead of pulling if at all possible! I didn't and that's my biggest mistake! Even if you can only afford to do one or two teeth at a time!
I have had my snap in for 2 months and don’t wear them because every time I put them in they hurt ALOT. I have gone in and had adjustments done many times and it’s not correcting it at all. Once snapped in it feels like something is pinching near my implant, and feels like something is rubbing my gums on both sides. What do I do?? 🙏🏽
And because I’ve had them adjusted so many times I can see the metal bars connecting each implant within the denture that are usually not seen - is that rubbing my gums?
@@treich1234 I have four total - 3 on arch. 2 in my right and one left … after 2 months of adjusting they still aren’t right. I have to use adhesive on the left side to create a cushion of sorts. Yet after about 3-4 hours it feels like I have a bad toothache on the left and pinching.
Why are my teeth so little on the bottom? I told them that I had bigger teeth. And I want bigger teeth on the bottom he Wouldn't even listen to me so I had to Settle with these little tiny tiny sliver teeth. They don't even look like my teeth and then my top denture that I can't afford to get implants yet. I had them remade in their little tiny teeth. He redone them 3 times and never have. They produced my larger teeth. I don't know what to do I have battled with this for 15 yeand it seems like no dentist is listening to me. I want my smile back and I want to be able to eat properly. My mouth goes numb because the top denture cuts off the circulation in the front of my mouth. Elf were that little skin Adheres from your gum to your lip? I don't know what to do
I wish I could get your help, this gets u so depressed and when your mind is on your teeth 24/7 it drives u crazy,I have different problem then this person mine is so so tight in the front.Its just heart breaking.My advise 2 every1 dont get these.If u don't have tons of money u will never b happy again.😢😢😢😢😢😢
I got my snap ones today and was told in extent there would be no upper plate. Now thousands of dollars later I took them out and have been in tears all evening 😢
I spoke to the dentist about cutting back the wall pallet cover, and was told my snap on upper denture would become extremely weak. I chose the place I went to because of their wonderful reputation. It has been a little over a year and I’m so disgusted I come in the house and take them out.
dentures don't work especially if you are younger and they removed your dentist removed all the rest of your teeth (crowns) so the denture would fit better. But I have a bad gag reflex so I don't wear the dentures since it is hell. I am scheduled to get my implants done this week. The dentist and periodontics want to do snap on for top and bottom. But I am debating on all on 4 my periodontics said she could always change it afterwards. I am about to tell her I want all on 4 before she does the implants. I don't want to deal with any gag. plus I want my teeth to look real and sit on my natural gums. I don't want to have the fake gums on the dentures.
My sister is going in next Monday for a Snap-in upper denture on 4 implants surgery with bone grafting for the implants. The dentist has recommended this for her as an "Affordable" option as she quoted $37k for an All on 4, but the Snap-in appx. $16k. I need both upper and lower, have a "Partial" on 4 teeth on bottom, all other teeth have been removed 2 years ago. My upper I have a front 5 tooth bridge that is failing/failed, with the remaining teeth broken, but not removed. It's just daunting, as one video says All on 4 is the best, yet the next tells the horror stories. It's just difficult to wrap your head around spending $60k+, even though there's really no getting around it. I'm in the DFW area.
several points: all on 4 is hands down better than snap on with one big caveat, who's doing it to make sure its done right. all on 4 for your whole mouth should prob cost around low 40k. was your sister quoted 16k for one arch or for two arches?
@@bigjohnson7415 yeah 16k just for a snap on up top is a waste of money. wouldnt recommend it. you can find all on 4 done right for pretty close for that price. probably an acrylic prosthesis, not as good as a zirconia but overall better than snap on denture
@Big Johnson 16k per arch? That's so wrong. Been there, done that. It just isn't fair and some places know we're already really down about our smile and they do the old bait and switch.
I had a full l set of the snap dentures and for ten years could not wear them at all. After a few months of them falling out, can't bear them in my mouth from pain, anxiety gag reflex and cant eat with them. They were in a drawer the entre yen years I had them. So I had 2 posts on top and 2 on bottom sticking up but no teeth for ten years. Now for the last eleven years I have FIXED Zirconia full set with 13 implants to hold them. After healing it took me about two months to adjust to the pinch pain then they have been as good as my original teeth with no maintenance needed. I eat anything I want with no movement and nothing over the my roof. Just like teeth should be. Its more expensive but worth every penny. I could suggest schools for implantology sometimes give huge discounts for patients that allow them to demonstrate to students while doing procedures. I cant say this enough. No matter what your doctor will try to have you settle with... If possible GET FIXED DENTURES!
What would it cost for individual teeth? A tooth implant for individual ones. Because I paid twelve thousand dollars for my bottom Snap in dentures and they look absolutely fake and horrible. They tip in toward my mouth. It doesn't even push the bottom of my lip out. And you can see the titanium through the teeth or the gums. Why I paid a lot of money out of my own pocket for this. And this is the result that I got food gets underneath my denture. I can't even eat an apple or corn on the cob. Without them lifting in the back. Can you please answer me that why I'm a 60 two-year-old woman that has battled dentures for the last 17 years. I finally after my husband passed away from suicide. Last year decided to get implants. And all I wanted was my looks back. And to be able to eat right and I can't even have that. I have to take him out all the time
