Nick was making circa $8m a month from Cumtown so if you consider what he didn't clumsily throw at Crypto and factor in Manhattan rents; they've probably got about 6 minutes until the rug is pulled from under them.

I like how all the advice has been to get rid of Adam.

They're constantly complaining about the show draining their bank accounts so they're asking for advice even if it's technically unsolicited. Most of the CT fans don't care about their expensive set and cameras etc.... We watched CT for Nick but they're putting all their money and effort into Adams interview show which isn't necessarily bad, but is it worth paying for? I think most people feel like Nicks checked out and when he's on camera he's low energy and seemingly hating the fact that he's there. I know people think Nick didn't put any effort into CT but that's not true. He would occasionally talk about sitting at home practicing impressions and working out bits all day. He mostly stopped doing stand up during the CT years because he was writing material for the show and anyone who thinks every classic CT bit was just on the spot riffing is delusional. Nick used to put effort into his bits and make them seem like they organically came to him on the spot. Now that he's on the road he has less time to craft bits for the show because he needs to write material for his stand up gigs. This is why the show isn't as funny and why it's falling.

@@darkthrone56 Exactly. I even got into an argument with someone on Clangers TV channel about this. The person was convinced that every single bit and joke was just on the spot riffing and nothing was ever pre written or planned on CT. I conceded that many jokes and riffs organically originated from the conversation but the most classic bits were mainly thought out ahead of time and even the extra tags were written/thought through before the pod started recording. It was like arguing with someone who believes that stand up comics just get on stage and start talking with no written material. Nick was able to work his bits into the show in a way that seemed spontaneous but a few times he even admitted that he worked on bits in his apartment for hours. It doesn't make it less funny or take away from Nicks comedic genius. But ever since TAFS started something changed and it feels like Nick genuinely doesn't care anymore. He used to pretend that he didn't care but he obviously did because CT was one of the funniest pods ever. I'm hoping Nick gets his mojo back and he breaks out of this depression because the his lack of interest in the podcast really sucks for all of his gay fans.

We've really reached that point haven't we. In the most recent episode of tafs with Ian on it Nick talks about how he has done a straight year of showing people what an hour of sitting in a room and talking is like now it's time for comedy And I can only imagine it's going to get worse

this is straight up the entire issue. nick constantly needs someone to reinforce him and encourage him along the path of the joke. if there isn't a stav to push the bit along nick loses all confidence and just gives up. adam can't carry a conversation or build out a joke for the life of him so he can't help
