Affleck is a really good actor and was a great Batman. People have no idea what they're talking about. The same thing is gonna happen with Pattinson. Both guys can act.

He was also rlly into MMA when it was starting out. And his main complaint was that the fighters were Uncharismatic , man Patrice reacting to Connor mcgergor would of been iconic

I think I might go and listen to that 12 hour Patrice talking about movies compilation again. He’s so logical with his arguments but hilarious at the same time. And he explains the stuff we all know is there but don’t talk about because we’ve been told otherwise. I agree with Patrice about Raging Bull. I’ve seen it twice and didn’t like it at all. I love Scorsese but it’s just dull.

Well, you liked THE MOVIE and he was IN the movie being directed by SCORCESE. You did NOT like Marky Mark's "I'm too cool to act, I'll just be me!" BS, trust the world.
The Deer Hunter is a movie you watch once, think about it, watch it again, appreciate the movie not only the cinematography and acting, but also the grand scope of themes/storylines and arcs/the true meaning of the film. Then, not watch it again for at least 5-10 years. One of the best movies of all time, but you couldn't pay me to watch it once a week.

I've watched Waterworld at least 30 times since it went into HBO's library in Dec. 1995 and I'll keep watching it every time it's on. And The Postman? That is another movie that critics shit all over so people didn't go to see it on the big screen as they should have. These two movies are always in the rotation between HBO/SHOWTIME because people watch them over and over and the numbers obviously prove it or they wouldn't bring them back.
Costner had two mega bombs in a row, but I have seen Waterworld many times - and it is a schlocky movie - but in all the right ways. I should really try watching The Postman - I’ll probably like it.
@@BalloonSage The Postman is a great movie. Why it didn't do well at the box office is beyond me. However, HBO plays Waterworld AND The Postman all the time, which means people are watching it. I've seen both movies at least 30 times each and they don't get old to me. I just watched Waterworld on my new 4K tv and it's even better.
Its crazy hearing Patrice’s idea for an Aquaman movie, and I gotta admit, it wasn’t a bad idea. I don’t have a fear of water but the ocean creeps me out and that scene in Batman v Superman where they showed Aquaman’s cameo was creepy as fuck to me. Also I think Patrice and I were the only ones in the world not afraid to say that we thought Batman Begins was better than The Dark Knight as far as a Batman movie is concerned lol...and its crazy that my favorite Rocky scene out of all the movies was Patrice’s favorite scene too lmao!

Lol wtf Donnie Brasco, Goodfellas, and Casino are my top 3 gangster movies as well. Was literally having the exact same convo with my buddy. Platoon is also the best Vietnam movie.
I do put Jack Nicholson up there but Patrice is exactly right on Daniel Day Lewis being the best actor. A lot of people don't know who that is but man I think he is definately the best
@@evansgate everyone that knows about films knows him. But I have known many people that did not know who that was. Remember, he mainly plays in period pieces, a lot of people don't watch those kind of films.
Whether you think him right or wrong, Patrice was always real. He was honest. You do not see his type of honesty anywhere, let alone in entertainment circles.
Patrice-“what’s the best scene out of all of the Rocky movies?” Opie-“Shit, I’m out.” Poor guy was silent for 45 minutes after his Marky Mark take from 1994 fell on deaf ears. He was just begging for any topic that didn’t require an original thought and Patrice had to hit him with that one.
Platoon was charlie sheens attempt to one up his dads far better movie. I didn't hate it but to say it was somehow more watchable than Apocalypse now which was a masterpiece for a lot of really fuckin good reasons seems unimaginable to me.
You can't really argue taste in this case-- they're both great. I lean to Apocalypse too, because I like the arty auteur stuff a bit more. But Charlie Sheen didn't make Platoon, Oliver Stone did-- and he actually went to Viet Nam. I've heard many Nam vets say Platoon is the best most realistic film on the subject. It's a great great film-- let's just put those two and Full Metal Jacket in a basket and take your pick-- all great.
I feel for Patrice. 'I don't know how to watch it' I've felt this way regarding a lot of movies that people considered amazing. At some point you just gotta stop fighting and accept you don't share everyone's taste. I never liked that Lord of the Rings shit.

I can see how it would be boring. There were a lot of scenes where it was him just walking around with a monologue. Then there was heavy "feel this way" music with scenery scenes. For it's time that kind of shit wasn't done to death yet. I can still watch it and be entertained by it, it's a good movie but if you have a low attention span or no interest in cinematography you're gonna fall asleep.
