Damn that ending was crazy how he mentioned he just wants to be remembered somehow. Well I'm happy he got his wish and we can participate in it. This man was a genius
@BetterThanYou-uj4cdyou definitely have to be in the mood for his solo stuff. I think Patrice is one of the funniest people ever, but he annoys the hell out of me sometimes. People idolize him and it seems like they live their life based on his mentality, but I think they have blinders on. He's super entertaining for the most part. He could hold court like no other, and the world honestly wouldn't be the same without his solo shows.
@BetterThanYou-uj4cdnah. You just a racist. Patrice is great all around. He definitely didn’t need Anthony. Anthony couldn’t be on Patrice level in three lifetimes.
***** as much as I like Bill Hicks, I think he might of faded out after the new millennium. He liked to tear down institutions which is cool, but he didn't add much in originality.
Every-time I hear Patrice speak about women i hear the "ain't that betta!" "ain't that betta!" joke in my head but it's not a joke I was with that type of girl blah.I could listen to this him speak all day every day. RIP
We love Patrice cause he told the truth.... on both sides of the racial aisle and he was one of the funniest and quickest people on his feet. Seldom imitated NEVER duplicated.
For being someone who had never heard of Patrice until after he died, I still listen to these years later and with I could have known of him while he was goin. Love the perspective and he would have been amazing in today’s world lol.
I feel like Patrice really brought a balance to Opie and Anthony. Opie has made Patrice genuinely laugh on several occasions because he likes Opie personally. And he vibes with Anthony because they can riff jokes off of each other. He made them both feel like they did when they first got on radio. Then he died. And the balance was lost. And the downfall came
Absolufuckinglutely my friend. Patrice kept them honest but enlightened. And for all the bandwagon assholes who hate on Opie, if Patrice thought Opie was such a hole he would have expressed it on air. Ope was an "On-air Program director" and when they had conversations they were heartfelt. Maybe Patrice brought out the worse and best in everyone, but don't shit on Opie for doing his radio job, and don't fault Anthony because he didn't have a black friend to keep him together.
That was it. The final straw was Anthony hanging with Norton on some project he was doing(forgot what that was, but shortly after Patrice passed away) and Opie got jealous and there was less radio chemistry, then finally Anthony had those tweets(the ones about the black lady, some words were dropped) , Sirius XM fired him, and Anthony held a grudge against Opie for not saying "I'm quitting if you fire Anthony for good", which Anthony expected Opie to make this sacrifice. I favor Anthony like the rest of the viewers, but I can understand both sides. It would be difficult for someone to throw themselves under the bus with another person for a bargaining deal that might not even work. By then, Anthony already had his show Compound Media and they fought over Twitter and that leads us to their distance from eachother today.
Opie always felt jealous over Anthony and Patrice but Patrice always would give Opie props because Opie was doing a job not many people could and can do. Patrice on air had the same power he had off air. He kept people honest and self aware.
Caller: they said they saw trucks driving away from the trade centers before they fell, they definitely demolished them with explosives. Op: oh yeah? What was written on the side of them? ACME?! YOU FUCKIN IDIOT. Haha every now and then.
I swear Patrice was a genius on another level. Just the knowledge on something as obscure as the anthem. He was so right about how good it was it upsets me that he isn’t alive now. Can you imagine his genius with everything going on right now.
@@MiSambra yep, the two funniest dudes of all time imo...Cumia is probably the funniest...even Patrice said Ant could “access funny” faster than anyone, ever
@@mr.smithgnrsmith7808 reminds me of the bennington interview/intervention on TACS where bennington was telling him basically "what happened to you? you used to be funnier than everybody"
@@Gloth_Sang i honestly think i replied to the wrong comment haha edit: looks like the person i responded to deleted their comment and i dont even know what they said tbh

Thanks so much for putting this out there bro. Bottom of my heart I appreciate it. I also really like it when you give a brief rundown of the contents in the description like, "1:32 Tiger Woods, 2:41 Chinese food" etc.

Literal tears run down my cheek when I think about how some day all of this audio will be gone. Tell me brothers and sisters, how do I save this audio for future technologies? I can't let Patrice O'Neal's legend fade
@@loopseeker don't remember the episode but it was an O + A where he talks about buying a dog at the mall and finding it a home. Others have said it wasn't the first time.
You know how tv shows have breakout character thats not the main lead? Like fonzy, stewie or daryl from walking dead. Patrice was that breakout star if the o and a show.
I found patrice earlier this year and I'm dreading the day I run out of his talks😔. I'm glad there is so much replayability due to the value in each talk
Patrice has become the Vincent Van Gogh of comedy. Appreciated as he should have been in life... only after his death. It’s sad, but this dude feels like a distant family member still. I tune in at least once a month to any form of Stand-up, O&A or BP content. Might even be a greater philosopher than comedian and the world needs it more by the day. You are missed, sir ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
“When I first went to Anthony’s house, I thought he was gonna tell me I had 5 seconds to run. It got too white people, pagan ritually for me..” Fuck Patrice has me in tears from start to finish! The only guy that can compliment you while roasting tf outta you 🤣🤣
@ 20:09 nullifies Greggshells comments on him and Ant not hanging out and why Ant never visited him at his place...says it himself "My place is boring, Ant's place is to entertain" Gregg is full of reasons why he was anti social and blames everyone else
@@faiiiryriiing ricky gervais, louis ck, bill burr, well... patrice is a comic's comic as they say. and RIP Norm by the way, that good ol' lump of coal
1:03:46 love Patrice reference. I learned those songs thru wrestling too. He forgot Dusty Rhodes coming out to Bo Diddley "You Can't Judge a Book by its Cover
Trice on O&A is some of the funniest stuff I’ve ever heard!! I can’t imagine how blown up he’d be if he was still around! It hurts me cause I wasn’t even hip to him while he was around and his favorite city to preform in was DC where I live. He’s probably made me laugh harder and longer then any comic ever!
Just in case anyone was wondering the retard dog paw test results this was patrices tweet later that day : “I'd like to thank the Dog Gods and Danny from opie and anthony. My Westie pup passed the turned underneath retard paw test. Need 1 more”
weird how opie wants to be friends but can never make it to anywhere but he wants to but he can't go . comes off as if hes better then them. n hes the worst
As of led zepplin lots of people used riffs and songs from old blues players but NOBODY made as many hits out of them and absolutely almost Nobody has as many original hits either. Facts!
I listened to O&A since WNEW. I never appreciated Patrice until after he died. Guy was fucking intelligent. His insight was beyond anyone I've heard. Now the O&J show is nothing but guests and zero chemistry between O&J. I check in occasionally and I haven't heard a single show without some shitty guest. No discussions just milk toast format of a talk show.
Jae Warner there is hope. O&J is over... so the old show is officially done... but now Anthony and Opie are on speaking terms. Ant has called Opie's afternoon show at least twice now. They talked a few things out, seemed to get along and even hinted at possibly working together again in the future either at Sirius or Compound Media.
@Weston4020 it's so great that you posted these Patrice videos. Thanks for keeping the genius alive. One thing, I guess I get you cutting out music the guys played because I suppose you don't want a copyright strike, but when they play music that is the entire context of the segment, it makes the moment miss something when we can't hear the song they were discussing. Other O&A posters have left in the music when it's in that context and it doesn't get pulled down. Again, what you've done is great and we're all grateful to you, but that's one thing taking a little away from episodes like this.
It's great that Patrice is the only one of these guys that dosen't instantly wall mount all flat screens. It's one of the subtle observations, where you know it's a single dude, who hired people, or it's a couple,- without any sense put together. Ghetto/ Trailer luxury , in full effect. Actually a perfect example of how his power of observation provided all the ammo he could shoot.
