Mine was when she had to run around the track four times to get onto the no cut track team. She is on crutches. It starts to rain. Wet grass hits her in the face. Her crutches break. She crawls and gets across the goal line. She made the team!
I watch The Middle every single day. I can watch these episodes over and over and not get bored. These actors MADE these characters, they are so perfect!
EXACTLY!!! I still watch this show on FreeForm everyday! I wish it would have went on. They took 4 minutes of the last episode to show us their “futures” and I just hated that we didn’t get more, that we didn’t get a full ending like we deserved!
@@mickaaylaKeagle so agree and the really dragged out sue and Sean in season 9 it was so annoying should of got together at the start of season 9 and we could see their relationship
@@mickaaylaKeagle they always do that on every sitcom I've watched. It's like if the writer/producer wanted to go and try something else and so they 'accelerate' the show in the last episode. They end up screwing things up since haste makes waste...never fails!
I know I'm 2 years late here, but I hope you're doing well today. I'm glad you found some fun, joy, and comfort in this wonderful and heart-warming show.
Christmas/ approaching new years in London and there’s a MIDDLE marathon on tv. My wife and I love watching the show and it’s been great. Fans from the beginning, Every character was amazing because of the great actors. Even watching the repeats makes us laugh and cry.
I wish the show wouldn’t end! I want to see Sue and Sean together and married one day and Brick’s new girlfriend and his college graduation. Gosh just think about Frankie and Mike as grandparents! Patricia, don’t end the show! It’s about family. We don’t get many clean, fun, family shows very often!
You are absolutely right, Lynn Collins. It' s the onliest clean and 'normal' thing on TV-screen... At times where even cartoons are full of sex and violence and 'adultery' or worse...
My best friend has health issues and has almost died because of it. The Middle was and is still one of his favorite shows! The last season of the Middle my friend was about to turn 40. I mailed a blank birthday card to Patricia Heaton, shared his story and it came back the last week the show was being filmed! Not only did she sign but she had the entire cast sign and added a signed 8x10 cast photo! On his birthday I tweeted Patricia a photo of him with his autograph and thanked her & she replied! Thank you Patricia❤
I love the show and all the characters. They perform very natural. Nobody says anything about how brave Atticus is, who although he suffers crystal bones and had some surgeries in the time he was working on the show he never missed an episode. He is very professional, besides bright and a great actor. I have seen all his movies. He is amazing!
😂😂😂 I’ve never heard it called Crystal Bones before. My uncle had it, and I never heard that. I kinda like it. It’s always been called Brittle Bone disease around me.
I only started watching "The Middle" in Dec of 2022. It's an excellent show! I will continue watching each episode from beginning to end. Blessings upon the actors, creators, producers, and everyone involved in this wonderful show.
The real reason The Middle was so sucessful is many fold. If you watch these actors and the interviews it becomes clear how genuine they really are. They obviously are interested in the job, but also tge obviously care about each other and it is relected in the characters. Many time actors display a "oh its just another job" attitude. Not here. Additionally, the writing, the excellent production and editing are equally important. Good job to all The Middle cast and crew. I will certainly miss this show. Thank you.
I wish abc cared more about the middle the same way they cared about modern family. If u go online they spent more money and effort on the modern family and cast and had bunch of interviews for them. They didn’t do that for the middle cause they wanted modern family more popular.
I can tell you exactly what it is about the Heck’s that make us diehard Middle fans love the show so much. It is everything that Atticus said and more. The duct taping of the dishwasher, the needing of the new roof, THE POOL, the family interpersonal relationships. I personally have a son who is quite literally a combo of all three Heck kids. There were episodes where I feel that there were cameras hidden in my house looking for the next week’s show. It embodies everything that we as the real”Middle “ folks deal with every day I am so sad that it’s over after this year but it’s how life is. It moves on. Thanks for everything that you have given us. We have loved you all!
I loved that show when Brick had a little girl who wanted to be his girlfriend, and she became possessive. Brick asks Axel for advice to get out of it and it backfires. Brick comes home from school and says, "Axel, now we're married and have a kid". lol
I have ADHD. There r so many specific instances in the show where Frankie does something or reacts exactly how I have. It’s so nice to have a show that the average person can relate to!
This show was great because like the title, it was right down “The Middle” of America. Good clean, all-American, family-oriented writing. I would to see spin offs featuring the lives of the Heck children in the future.
There you go. There always has to be a race card PC BS buffer! So...would you rather have only the Jetsons, or the Prince of Bel'Air or one of the so many other BLACK only sitcoms? How'bout a mixed family? Would that work for you? Get a Life!
Oh, so you think Axel wouldn’t have had Uncle Hutch and his family around? Or mikes black coworker and his family they included? Or how about Sues favorite faculty member, the guidance counselor. Played by Whoopie Goldberg. Also, Bricks best friend was a hispanic male. Maybe you should come visit a town like orsen. I live less than 3 hours from the fictional orson, and the show actually got its facts in most realistic 99% right. There aren’t many family’s of different races in “the Middle”’s real life towns. So chill and don’t be THAT person.
I think my favorite episode is in season 1 where the family are rushing around, trying to collect all their trash from the house in time for the garbage truck but Brick ends up getting hit with an alcohol bottle and accidentally made it look like he was being abused. It reminds me of my family lol
Nobody mentioned the Glossners. It’s really brave of Brooke Shields - the most amazingly beautiful woman- to play such ‘trailer trash’. She does it so well it makes me really uncomfortable. The interplay between Rita and Frankie is just amazing.
@@davidbrown7213 good grief. She is a comedy character in a sit com. And I used quotation marks to signify that I am using a generic term. Sit down mate.
I wish they pick this up again!!!! This show was my husband's and I's guilty pleasure....LITERALLY. Duct tape, cheap cars, messy house, quirky kids, and more🥰
I love Brick's scenes and his quirks is very funny. I would like to see the Shaffer in another series like his performance. I didn't really want the middle never end. But it will be forever on my heart!
They'll NEVER be a show that can top their level of creativity....or relate to REAL LIFE, as they did!! If they ever do a reunion show??? They need to go on Family Fued....would be HILARIOUS!!!!!
The question was: "why is it this successful?" And they answered, that it's because of the Hecks are a normal, hard working guys (mostly with 2 jobs), who has its concerns with unforeseen difficulties and so on -> and Atticus tells: "... like most people at our country..." Today I want to say: It's even like most people in the world ("1. World" perhaps) - we can truly sympathize with that family (e.g. in Germany)
i remember watching a clip of this series being shared in FB and its atticus scene, i was sooo hooked, he looked funny and unique and seconds later, i binged watch the whole season! hands down the most underrated comedy ever! love them!
It's a real shame the shows ending. There's more stories that could still be told. Axl having a full time job and getting his own place, becoming a father etc. Sue graduating college. Brick going to college etc. I think Neil Flynn (Mike) appreciates and realises how great the shows been and he knows he won't ever get anything as good as this. Charlie McDermott (Axl) was old enough when he started The Middle (despite playing a character 3 or 4 years younger) to appreciate what a good gig this was a young actor. The actors who play Sue and Brick I think will struggle the most. Its all they've known in their early adult lives. They'll both still get work including voice-over work but nothing well ever ever match the natural highs of being involved in a show of this magnitude and being a character of such prestige. It will leave a massive void in their lives. I appreciate Patricia wants some time out now her children are grown up, and after working 12 hour days for the past 19 years (with the exception of summer). But I beg her to take 2 years out and then give us a few more series'!!
They all, except for Eden, played younger characters. I mean Patricia is 63 (!) by now?! The actor playing Hotch, Axl's best friend on college, is over 40 by now.
I was just sobbing after I watched the finale last night and also maybe the fact that my brother will be moving to his house with his wife. Just what Mike said at the finale. We will take different paths that is what is supposed to be. But surely we will find a way back home at the end.
I love the episode where you and Patricia go through the car wash with the windows down! Haha! Looks like you guys had so much fun! It always makes me laugh!
It is so successful because it is so relatable. Everyone sees themselves in these characters. Im under appreciated like Frankie. My husband is tall and stoic like Mike. My daughter is half Axl and half Sue. And my son is half Sue and half Brick. We all have a family in the street like the Glossners. I think everyone can relate to the morning school rush. Some episodes are freakishly real in our family life. We have adopted some quotes that we use in our family conversations on a regular basis.... " Using scissors are hard for you aren't they Brick" " I dont like being MANIPPULATED" "We're taking back the house" "I made dinner" " None of your damn business " " I dont want to be a bother " " and so on and so forth and what have you." 😁😍🤗😁😍🤗
This is the best show. It has a place in my heart no other show has. I have all 9 seasons and rewatch them with subtitles. It's such a quality show. I love all the characters and their individual personalities/ quirks and the storylines are full of heart and I laugh out loud so much in every episode. This show will stay with me for life. 😊
This became my new favorite show of All Time this year. I had never seen it before on network TV during its run. Totally brilliant writing, cast, comic flair, and heartwarming (without being sappy) at a time when we need to look at ourselves and laugh a bit more. A lot more. Would love at least a reboot special or movie or a sequel series with Sue and Brad, which I believe was tried but did not get picked up. For shame, network execs! 😄
I miss TV reunion movies. Just enough to give us a little update on where they are today. Although this show would be great for a spin off of the kids as parents of course with the grandparents
This is me 😢 watching this video. I love this show so much I'm still on denial. Brick..I will also love to see you graduate college, get married and have kids. I promised I will watch you for as long as I live. Please keep it going! I'm not ready for this show to end ☹️
The burger cake was from the episode where the Hecks held Rusty & Marlene's wedding at their house. Frankie sent Sue & Brick to pickup the wedding cake & the baker had made a burger cake!!
Brick could have his own show honestly. I also think Sue and Axl would work having individual shows. The characters are just so well developed none of them would be too boring to go on independently.
That dude is so smart in real life too. The way he talks shows real maturity and intelligence...and he's also down to earth and cool, not the usual Hollywood snub.
It ended in the correct way at the correct time. The show could not have continued because with Axl and Sue grown up, the original parameters and character dynamics were changed. Appreciate and value it for what it was.
I always identified as a sue heck but absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED Brick he made the show for me ! when he graduated and sang just seeing the pic I'm overcome , I was surprised when they actually had axl 🤣in shirt and pants but I was very disappointed sue didn't marry axl friend he seemed perfect for her .
Congratulations on your 200th episode 😘😍 I love your show!! To be honest, I only started watching the show on reruns. So I'm not updated on your show...lol My Favorite was when Brick couldn't cross the bridge.
I hate for The Middle to end after this season! It's so depressing to see shows end after so many hours and years watching the characters grow up on TV. You guys will be missed ❤❤❤
I have been on a re-watch of this show for weeks now and I love it so much. But it finally convinced me of one thing-most of the problems were because of Frankie. I know she loved her kids but she was just not a great mother. She was always taking the easiest way out, she was so disorganized, never did an honest day's work, stole from both her employers constantly, wasted a ton of money on fast food/takeout because she did not cook, tried to outdo the world's perfect mother Nancy Donohue just for sport, completely trashed the neighbor's new car, etc. She just half assed everything. I jnow she was written that way but she was by far the most flawed character. And PH played her perfectly.
After Brick whispered the extra letter in the spelling bee, the next spelling bee, Uncle Rusty convinced Brick to purposefully spell the word wrong so Rusty could win the money lol
I love how they ended the show while it was still good. Some shows neber know when to quit and they knew what they were doing. Still holding on hope for a sequel show with sue or axl or brick or all of them!
They should have the final last show "Live". I believe the "Hot In Cleveland" show did the same thing. I can imagine how many viewers would watch the last episode!! Sad to see it go! 😞
