Actress Patricia Medina discusses her life and career, her longtime marriage to Joseph Cotten, and her friendship with Orson Welles in this rare half-hour interview with cable TV host Skip E Lowe.
Thank you so much for this. Her husband, Joseph Cotten, called her the most beautiful woman in the world. But the interviewer is right, her first husband was gorgeous and later became famous again starting as 'Robin Hood' in the '50s series.
She had often admitted in interviews that Joseph Cotton was the one big love in her life. It's sad watching her in this interview break down over still missing him. I read where after Cotton had his stroke in 1981 he was in such bad shape that for a while he couldn't even remember his wife's name! One of his last great roles was his cameo in Heaven's Gate-even though he only had a handful of scenes.
Patrica Medina was a great beauty. Too bad she let herself be touched by a plastic surgeon. Wrinkles would only have added to her loveliness in old age. So good to have access to this interview. Thank you!
I like him because he's genuine. He LOVES old Hollywood. He's not afraid to ask too-bold questions. And he's not upset if they won't answer too-bold questions.
Patricia Medinia never became the household name of say Barbara Stanwyck or Betty Grable or Rita Hayworth, but still I like her work. Joseph Cotton never quite made it to superstardom eitheir. He and Patricia were in the same category as James Earl Jones, Ricardo Montalbon, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Leonard Nimoy, Lou Ferrigno, Rae Dawn Chong, Peter Fonda, Peter Graves-famous character actors.
