The way Pat talks about Luka makes me believe that he’s one of the most respected players in the league, he really emphasized that no one’s scared of Phoenix and the Mavs but you need your A-game against Luka
@@callies300 I feel like it’s the opposite. On the court it’s wwe esque to get the crowd riled up and to get attention. Guys like him Bruce Bowen, or tony Allen don’t get any spotlight unless the superstar player they guard talks about them. He’s doing quite the opposite on the broadcast and I’ve enjoyed the insight from the locker room
ESPN better learn their lesson with having Pat Bev on the show today. They need more NBA players on their programs giving the viewers real NBA insight, content and facts. Pat Bev, JJ, and Big Perk are killing it on ESPN and we need more of this.
At least they’ve sniffed the finals! And isn’t the world tired of the clippers players still bloviating about what they could have done? From playoff p lol. After that Denver series you think they’d learn to stay humble but I guess not
Most of the Suns were tight especially when they weren't getting points early. Usual game 7 nerves early, rushing their shots and playing out of their pace. But I don't believe Cp3 was terrified. He just looked limited the last few games. He looked helpless out there.
@@zpacify He was definitely helpless. The entire team was helpless, because they got exposed. But, I think he was terrified about how those last two playoff games stained his legacy.
Lmaooo you already know PG wished he had Kawhi so he could have sent the suns frauds home last season. Most overhyped team of all time with Booker running his mouth acting tough
@@lousassoul7344 yea I heard it wrong I think SAS said he was one the greatest . And I thought pat said the greatest . But then again I think he said what do mean greatest .
@@jessejamesgames8148 haha great to see, but we gotta remember what CP3 did you Pat Bev last year in the playoffs, a revenge on national TV is what Pat tried to do.
The fact that the pelicans actually could’ve taken out the Sun and didn’t have Zion told me all I needed to know about the Sun winning it this year 😂🤣😂.
@@brandongordon2392 nah, the pels got trashed when Booker came back, if Zion was there, they might have put up a good fight, but they ain't a team that got someone like Luka, so they'll eventually get bounced by the Suns. No biases, just keep it real.
"We are not having a talk about why the Suns lost." "It says right there "What went wrong for the Suns?" "We are talking about why they were down by 40?" Well jeez SAS I think the reason they lost is cause they were down by 40 and the two basketball players were explaining how/why that happened
He does lie though! A healthy kawhi beating the suns???? Really we’re going there again? We saw a perfectly healthy clippers team get embarrassed and undressed by the nuggets after a years worth of talk from pet bev so nobody wants to hear anymore clippers proclamations. They already proved themselves to be frauds, still running their mouths
@@BigA678 Barkley is employed through TNT. Cracks jokes all the time about “that other network” “ain’t going to pay me nothing and work me all the time” I get your point though ESPN has found two guys who will give you their take from the heart in Pat and JJ
Luka is in everybody’s head 😂😂😂 if someone knows it is Pat. Love his honesty, he came long way from playing in euro league to elite teams in nba, guarding elite players ❤️
Pat Bev has demanded my full attention throughout all his segments. Testament to where speaking your truth and delivering with passion will get you 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
At 2:10 JJ was talking BASKETBALL. X's and O's. Stephen A stopped him and started talking about narratives. Stephen A can't talk about BASKETBALL. He can only talk narratives.
I was just thinking the same thing. There are fans out here that want to hear thorough educated analysis and breakdowns, not just narratives you can repeat for clips and kicking up BS drama. This clip proves why we need platforms for players to talk about the game in a thoughtful, educated way instead of focusing on watercooler conversation.
Facts that’s why JJ constantly suns Stephen a when it comes to basketball tbh Stephen a acts like he played and he didn’t I love when draymond pat bev jj jalen rose and tim legler talk basketball cause their talking from a Xs and Os and experience perspective
It's an interesting dynamic on First Take now cause Stephen A is going up against actual NBA players so he can't pull all that screaming and yelling and arguing he did with previous co hosts
The bottom line is that Booker has always thought he was Kobe, and I’m sure CP3 thinks he’s as good or better than the pistons Isiah Thomas. Unfortunately they are neither.
I think we're learning a thing or two about the quality of double teams these days. Even KD couldn't handle the extra defender thrown at him every possession vs Boston.
As someone who’s routed for Luka for years now since before he was even in the NBA, I love hearing the way current NBA players talk about him, they’re genuinely scared of him on the court
Give JKidd and the Mavs some credit… I hate when upsets happen, people love to talk about what went wrong with the losing team rather than what went right for the winning team
At the end of the day professionals compete with professionals and someone has to win. A blowout is a totally different monster. That wasn't Dallas doing anything different by and large. That was take out the head, and the body will fall!
Ex/Current NBA Player analysis is FAR more interesting than hot, lazy takes by the media. In some cases, more entertaining too. When JJ started talking about Shot Profiles, and then elaborated, then Pat Bev backed him up, I legit leaned forward in my chair.
We need more of these player insights into these shows because it is so much different when you are just commentating and at the same have the playing experience to back up your argument.
He’s basically just settling scores with people he’s had know issues with. CP3 punked him in the playoffs last year by hanging 41 on Pat Bev in the close out game 6.
He did. Saying with a healthy kawhi they would beat the suns? Not after watching a healthy kawhi lose to the nugz up 3-1. After that series, clippers showed they’re capable of collapsing against anyone. U don’t get the benefit of the doubt after that series. If you want to say u would’ve beaten someone then u better have beaten them otherwise shut up
“A S” man stop the cap if Kawhi was healthy the Suns might have gotten swept last year Kawhi was playing all time great in the playoffs last year before he got injuries
@@AS-lx8jc you know who was coaching that team right? It was the Doc Rivers lol that was not all on kawhi, yeah he choked but it was also that whole bubble environment that messed teams up too, plus jamal murray went crazy in that series, last year clippers pushed the suns to 6 games without kawhi, you are honestly gonna sit there and tell em the suns are beating the clippers with a healthy kawhi? Man please
JJ: you guys shoulda lost to the clippers then lmao this guy is too smart on the spot, this is so true if Pat is saying him and his teammates "really wanted the Suns" Pat's response of : "naw, we dont do that" sounds BS to me
This show with pat.b is one of the most watched in the entire history...seldom watch espn interview but when the time that we know that pat.n is their guest we surely watch it...lpve this man, love his defense ,every team needs him thats y he always been traded!
