Patrick Cruz is the Assistant Artistic Director of Makoto Taiko in Pasadena, CA. In 2023, he earned 2nd place at the inaugural Taiko Taikai, and then earned 1st in the 2024 Taikai.
This is not a professional recording. I took this video alongside other spectators, so you may overhear some of their reactions as he is playing. An official recording will be released by the Taiko Taikai organization at a later date.
