This. I think Mahomes is a major talent, but the NFL has team caps. If ONE guy grabs a quarter of the entire cap and the other 52 guys get the scraps, it's going to happen. It needs to happen and hopefully GMs realize you can't throw an obscene amount of money at a single guy and still expect a high level of team success.
MvS is making $11mil per year. That cash could have went to dhop or Thielen. Next year we'll resent the WR room with another draft pick and hopefully a veteran WR
Mahomes should've been mad at his situationally unaware teammate who was clearly lined up in the neutral zone. How is that even possible? How does Toney, or one of his teammates, or the coaches and players on the sideline, OR the coaches in the booth not see it?! Stop your whining, Mahomes. It was the right call. And if all refs weren't afraid to make the right call, no matter the situation in a game, there might be a lot less suspicious bad or no calls during games that make fans believe the games are rigged. Lesson learned.
Dee Ford did the same thing in the Conference championship game against the Pats. An interception was called back, and they lost. Poor football management skills. When a player reaches this level, they should know where the line of scrimmage is.
Winning a couple of rings sure brings out the entitlement in Mahommes. He should be a leader and show his teammates how to accept your mistakes and learn from them. Whining achieves the opposite.
The call was made before the play unfolded. The refs stole nothing. They did their job. Are they supposed to pick up that flag cause it was an amazing play? For you Patrick. Apparently.

As a bills fan, the refs fkd the packers agains the chiefs last week, and then fkd the chiefs against the packers. And then fkd the bills against the Eagles. And then fkd the.. insert game insert team. The amount of accountability on these refs is so stupid and instead of all the fans hating each other for the refs I don’t get why we don’t collectively all hate the refs and make them full time and accountable. Throwing a temper tantrum and then doubling down in the post game press conference seemed like a really bad look to me. His receiver clearly committed a penalty and he comes off looking like a spoiled brat who expects the refs to let his team do whatever they want.
I lost a lot of respect for Mahomes after the childish stunt and Tonney needs a replacement, not just for the blatant off sides but has been dropping crucial receptions all year.
Now Chiefs know how Raiders fans felt after the tuck rule. Everyone is getting screwed by crap calls lately. Maybe there is weight to games being rigged. But the WR was offsides and it was the correct call.

Upset over a blatant penalty. Man if Mahomes reacted like this over that. Imagine how he would have reacted if the Chiefs got the same treatment the Bills got in the Bills Eagles game. Refs totally screwed them.
@@ssaepa1 as a bills fan I was pissed because I’d like to see Brady with a broken leg. But seeing how toxic most chiefs fans are despite the constant help from the refs I’m glad. And seeing Mahomes and Reid cry after this one made me lose respect for both of them.
@@williamhager855 we hear this from every fan base that loses. When you’re winning you are hated, as per your Brady leg remark. As a Bills fan you should be pissed because you could have had Mahomes. What the Chiefs have accomplished is going to really be hard to equal, five consecutive AFC Championship games in a row, and that’s while paying players, most of our competitors were still on sweetheart deals and are just now starting to pay up. It’s all uphill from there. We have played more games than anyone during that period. You guys had some of that when you lost those four Super Bowls in a row, you all weren’t very popular either, and didn’t even win, even though you stole our coach to get there.

I kinda agree. Bills ARE a good team though but that loss to the Pack last week was an embarrassment. They're losing games they should be winning. Unlikely they're gonna catch a first round bye here. Patrick needs to give back a bit of that salary so the Chief's can buy some decent receivers. They just don't have any speed. Nowadays just catching the thing ain't enough.
@@leecowell8165 The Bengals are gonna have the same issue next year. Bunch of key players will be in free agency and they can’t sign them all. Bengals are fortunate enough to have two #1 receivers but I doubt they will be able to keep both. Boyd is also a free agent I believe.

@@treborheminway3814 it was essentially a handoff. If the play had stood, Toney would have been credited RUSHING YARDS, not receiving yards. And no "passing" yards for Kelsey. It wasn't a pass.

Has nothing to do with him making commercials, stop it. Mahomes is one of the hardest working quarterbacks in the NFL. Mahomes has a very young offensive line. Last year it was mixed with veteran players, which they should have kept.🤔
Toney was offside and the refs got that one right. They made many questionable calls, but that has been an issue all year. The NFL has to much inconsistency with their officials. Many times their errant calls decides who wins.

Gronk used to get flagged almost every game for pushing off. How many receivers get flagged for that since Gronk has left football? I haven't seen any this year.

Mahomes sure didn't jump up and down and protest when the refs made the bogus interference call against Bradberry in the Super Bowl that allowed the Chiefs to beat the Eagles. For someone who claims he doesn't like the refs deciding games he sure loved it in the Super Bowl. Toney was offsides and not just a little but significantly over the line of scrimmage. It was an easy call for the refs and the right one.
This guy's been pretty much a whiner to the referees after most plays that aren't successful for a few years now. Watching this is off the charts though. It wasn't even a subjective call. The guy lined up in the neutral zone. Period. This really paints him in a pretty unflattering light, and even his fellow State Farm co star sounded pretty salty as well at the podium. Andy Reid was "embarrassed" for the NFL because they called a penalty that "is hardly ever called"? LOL. Really? This shit from the Super Bowl Champions after they lose a tough game? Not overly impressive.
Dude, you doubled down on the refs blowing the call when in fact the receiver was offside without a question. You cant even see the ball when looking down the line that is how bad he was offside. Its just made it look really bad when you doubled down on it. Now he became a guy I will love to see him collapse now because of the immature temper tantrum he had. Had he just kept it on the field and not during the press conference it would be a different story.
