I think she's yelling her voice out...we get up so caught up in the yelling...but why..the scripture says make a joyful noise....Lillian and whoever else who feels they have to yell and beat the song to daeth..well that's not even biblical...we just add our own rules to praiseing God.....anyway I do agree that God will step right in...thankyou Lord..👏
I didn't know there were rules to praise God. hmmmm interesting! So "screaming" isn't a joyful noise? i believe they yell because they get excited. Unless you were there when the devil almost took her life and mind! then maybe you know how she SHOULD praise God. So glad there are now RULES to praise our savior. SMH stop trying to be deep and go learn how to give God a praise like this.
I just want gospel singers to get some form or shape of training to know they don't have to destroy their instruments like this. I don't even perceive this from an angle of godliness or spirituality. As professionals we must take care of what we are gifted with and trained in. She seemed to be struggling and her vocal folds had to be very disturbed at the end of this performance. The choir's approach to their belt had them worn out and sharp by the end of the song. I love the music and the overall ride of the song, but she wore me out. Many people give a lot of pushback to critique when it comes to gospel/church singers, but if they were to pursue a degree in music or vocal pedagogy they would be told the same thing. I don't know much about DW, but if they desire to sing for the rest of their lives it would probably be best to adjust a few things.
